GEORGE POV:
I'm sat down by my stuff, Dream next to me. We haven't spoke about what happened outside.
"George?" Dream asks.
"Mhm,"
"What are we?"
Just that second, there's a knock at the door, and Karl gets up.
"Pizza is here folks!" He says, heading out. We all follow him and when I reach the bottom of the stairs, he's handing over the money.
We all take seats at the table, squished together. I take a slice of pizza, and start eating. The room is silent, full of unspoken words.
Luckily, it doesn't stay that way. Soon, we are all taking and laughing, like we haven't done all day.
Once the pizza's are done, Bad gets up. "Muffin time! This batch is really good, better than the batch we made Skeppy,"
A minute later, Bad return, with a plastic box in his hands. He sets it down, and the second it is opened, everyone lunges to grab one. When I get one, I notice something on my hand. It's my mark, flickering. I ignore it, and start eating the muffins.
"These are great!" I say, and everyone else agrees.
We eat in silence, then Dream drops a question.
"Where are we sleeping?"
"Well, we need to do Skeppy's dare, so...," Karl trailed off.
"You guys can choose,"
I nod. I'd forgotten about the dare. We sit, talking for a bit, catching up on everything.
Then, Sapnap gasps.
"Guys, lets try and pull an all-nighter,"
I snort. "Sapnap, remember what happened last time?"
"Yeah, but this time, when you fall asleep first, we have Bad to regulate what we draw on your face," he grins. We laugh.
"What happened last time?" Skeppy asked.
"So, George, Sapnap and me were having a sleepover," Dream says, "and I suggest an all-nighter. We agree. George falls asleep during the 3rd movie, so about 3 or 4, and Sapnap and I draw things on his face. Our moms got so mad. But at least it wasn't sharpie," Dream grins.
"Fine, all-nighter attempt. What now?" I say.
"Movies?" Karl says.
"Sure," I shrug.
When we walk over to the lounge, he pulls me aside.
"Start it up, we'll be a sec," He calls to the others. "Look, what's happening between you and Dream? There was the Truth or Dare thing you did, which, I have to admit was brave, then he storms off and then what?" He hisses.
I sigh. "I don't know. We talked briefly, and he knows I'm not straight now, but I did my bit, several times, I don't know what goes on in his head," I say, exasperated.
"Idea: I get Bad and Skeppy to come look at something, Sapnap and Quackity go out to sort some stuff out upstairs, and we leave you two alone. Bad and Skeppy know whats happening, it seems everyone except you and Dream realised, so... we're cool with that?"
I shrug, and he leaves to watch the movie. I seriously don't know what's up with Dream, but I really want to clear it. It feels like we've ruined the party.
SKEPPY POV:
I sit next to Bad on the couch. It's a start, I guess. As the movie starts, I glance at him. He's fully engrossed in what's happening on the screen. I turn to look at it. The words "Jurassic Park" flash up on the TV, and I sigh.
"C'mon, who picked this?" I say, annoyed.
"Me," Dream grins.
"Dude, you pick this every time. Do you watch any other movies?"
He laughs, and focuses back at the movie.
"Do I have to stay through this?" I ask Karl, who had just entered.
"What is it? Jurassic Park? Yeah, sure, we've watched it so many times we must know it off by heart," he dismisses. I push up, and leave, just as George enters.
GEORGE POV:
I sit down in the now vacant spot next to Bad, and look at the screen, not paying attention. How on earth is Karl going to distract everyone but Dream?
"Guys, look, Tommy has something to say," Karl says, 5 minutes later. His waves his phone around.
"We should join the vc,"
"Seriously? I'm not missing Jurassic Park for Tommy," Dream snorts.
Karl shrugs, and heads upstairs. The others follow. Smart.
"You not going?" He tilts his head.
"Nah, they can tell me what he said," I say, shrugging.
As we hear the door upstairs shut, the atmosphere becomes way tenser.
"Did you mean it? What you said upstairs?" He clarifies.
"Am I a liar?" I say.
He sighs and runs his hand through his hair. "I- I really like you, but I- can't stop feeling like it's wrong..." he trails to a halt.
"Why?" I say, anxious.
"You're one of my best friends, and I feel like all of us would just be pairing up..."
"And you don't want to neglect your friends," I fill in.
"Pretty much," he shrugs.
"It's ok. I get it. Can we just not make it awkward for the others? I know I started this but... I'm sorry, I don't have an excuse," I say, defeated.
He smiles softly. "C'mere," he says. I cross the room and sit down next to him. He puts his arm round my shoulder and I rest my head on it.
Karl and the rest tromp downstairs a bit after, and none of them look remotely suprised. "What did Tommy want?" Dream asks.
"He wanted know what we thought about making a group Discord, all of the decent people in our grade," Bad says.
"Really?" I ask, glancing at Karl. He nods.
"Yeah, we said we'd think about it," He replies.
"Now, new movie," Skeppy declares, flopping onto the opposite couch. He takes the remote, and flicks through Netflix. "Isn't it Romantic? That's a Romcom isn't it?" He says.
"Yeah," Karl says. "It's good though,"
"Nah, not watching it,"
We continue like this for a while, till we find a good movie.
"Right. We literally had to swap to a new app," Karl says, annoyed, "but how about Hamilton?" He asks.
"Ok," we say.
"I overheard people talking about it, it sounded cool," I say.
"So let's watch it then," Sapnap says, sitting on the floor. We do. 2 hours later, I feel my eyes get heavy. I check the clock. 11.
"What time are your mom's coming back?" I ask.
"Sometime soon," Karl says, looking at the clock.
As we find a new movie, my eyes start to close. I hear people talking vaguely, and as I fall asleep, I hear Bad say "Awh, he's fallen asleep on you,"
