Chapter 7 (Tag along...)
Even after what had happened between us, I couldn't help but to be incredibly shy around Erix. Through-out the whole day I kept my little brothers around me so Erix would stay away. But it seemed like he was gaining Ras' trust, and trust me Ras isn't easy to get along with others, besides his own family of course.
But I guess my mate is an exception to that.
Hmmm...Mate?
It makes me happy when I think about it, but the other half says to not to fall for him.
I think that-that may be alittle too late.
How could I keep my distance from Erix now if my four little brothers are playing tag outside.
Kift and Gren are in their human form, while Ras and Jaq are in their wolf form. All four of them were too busy having fun. So they wouldn't notice me for a while.
Yes, I'd be afriad if Erix didn't put his pack members to watch out for us, and for any sign of trouble.
In a way I shouldn't re-think about being with him.
If it wasn't for the life that I had, then I wouldn't. But then again I would not be in this position if it didn't...
I stayed starring out of the window, watching them play I felt like I was finally at peace. Oh how much I had missed that feeling. It feels great to have it back.
His breath trickled down my neck, I tried to hold back an involuntarily shiver, he slowly ran his big hands down my shoulders.
Fighting him wasn't easy. Especially since I tied myself to him, and how I....um...
Erix brushed his lips against my neck, it was all overwhelming.
My wolf howled for him to be my leader, teacher, protector, savior, and lover?
Being careful with me, Erix slowly turned me around.
His eyes held nothing but love. Love?
How-........
Never mind.
I want, no need him to kiss me.
This all seems so strange to me. But why?
Instantly my hands shout out from behind me, and they went to his hair where they ran through it. It felt so softly, smooth, lovely... I pulled his face closer to mine, it was a gentle yet hard pull.
Erix didn't seem to mind it though.
I had no idea what he thought about this.
But at the time I didn't care. All I wanted was a kiss from him.
His sweet, taunting breath fanned across my face. My heart rate spiked up fast.
He had me-..And then he licked my face?!
Erix pulled back from me, before he let out a deep mesmerizing chuckle.
"I am sorry honey, but I had to do it", I gave him a sad look.
Immediately his smile vanished "What's wrong Vel", I nudged my face against his.
He pulled me into a bone-crushing hug, my heart fluttered.
No...I...can't...
But am?
Why can't I be happy for once?
The reason why I became sad is, because it reminded me of the day when I found out that....
I took in a deep shake breath making Erix gently kiss me on my forehead repeatedly.
After awhile I recovered, when I did I gently pushed him away from me.
His 'unique' eyes starred deeply into mine.
"Tell me what's wrong?", I opened my mouth to speak except nothing came out.
"I-..It has to do with my past...", I trailed off not wanting to talk about it.
"Well, can you please tell me", I have no idea why.
Just I had to.
Had to tell him.
Hopefully he won't hate me.
"When I was sev-...", at that moment the door bell rang.
Making me pull and jump away from Erix, my wolf instincts kicked in making him frown.
Once I caught on to why he was upset. I made myself normal again.
Erix didn't frown as much, but he was still unhappy.
And that made me unhappy as well.
I sighed, this mate thing is something else.
I pressed the back of my left palm to my forehead, I needed to slowly let the past events that had just happened to 'us five' (A/N: Her and her little brothers) sink into my head.
Everything around me became quiet, and dark but it wasn't too dark to where I couldn't see.
"Hey! Alpha!!", I heard Az yell enthusiastically.
For some reason that made me happy, I pulled myself out of my comfort zone.
Before I removed my hand out of my face, and then I quietly walked to the living room to see Erix smiling at Az.
"Okay, okay my Beta. What do you need me at this", Erix pretended to look at his 'fake' wrist watch that isn't even on his wrist "time?", their entire conversation seemed so ridiculous.
I loved it!!
"Well my Alpha. Please, please don't hurt me", and then Az looked at me "because I am in love with your mate!!", he cried making me freeze in panic.
All I thought was 'Was this really happening?'
Erix tensed making me take a small, uneven step back.
In my case this can be possible. I gulped. This won't end well.
Suddenly they bursted out laughing "So tell me the real reason why you are here instead of trying to steal my mate", Az nodded his head.
A huge grin stayed on his friendly face.
"I wanted to invite my Alpha to my quick surprise party!!"
"But your birthday already passed", Erix was suspiscious.
Az laughed "That's the surprise!!! I just decided to have it tonight at the last minute!!"
Erix shook his head with an amused smile on his face "So are you going to-", I quickly got out of the living room.
No, no I can't.
Maybe I should just go check on-..I ran into a hard smooth chest, becoming extremely shy. I slowly looked up to see Erix looking down at me with a raised eyebrow.
"You can't have me dateless at my best friends party, now can you?"
Before I could respond to that, Az decided to speak up.
"Don't worry about your brothers I got them sitters, and to keep you happy, especially worry free. They'll be at the party with us, but not in the same room as you. Plus this'll give them a chance to make friends".
Wow. He really wants me to go.
How do I answer them.
"Well I ca-...."

The wind went through my hair while I ran with Erix, he gave me a satisfied smile. The both of us were playing chase in the entire forest until we got to Az's house.
(A/N: Az had already took Vel's little brother's to his house earlier.)
When we got to his house we transformed back into our human form, Erix swept me off of my feet once we were in sight. Being shy I covered my face in his chest.
I heard alot of mumbling and whispering, I tried my best to ignore the evil, jealous lies.
Erix growled at the gossipers making them shut up.
Once I no longer heard them talking about me I relaxed.
"There you two love-birds are", Az said making me pull my face out of Erix's chest only for a split second.
Before I burried my face back in it again.
Yep, Ras and I are badly shy.
Especially at events like this. Only when we are fighting we feel free, aware, and alert. Even ready to fight.
"Hey Az, can I go up to your guest room so I can give my 'mate", he said mate so flawlessly.
I wish that I could do that, but right now I am too busy being shy.
"some clothes to put on? So she could be more comfortable".
"Oh, yeah. Go ahead", Erix carried me upstairs and into a room.
Where he gave me some girl clothes, before he left me alone in the room.
He left me?
Wow. That's a first.
But in a way I was thankful for that.
It took me not even ten minutes to finish getting ready.
As soon as I finsihed Erix knocked on the door, before he came in and took me down to the party.

I felt exhausted from being introduced as his 'mate' to his entire pack, I'm lucky that his family is out of town. Because I wouldn't be able to handle them.
By accident I had lost Erix in the mist of this once small, but now huge gigantic crowd.
A part of me said 'Go find him!", but I couldn't get myself to do that.
Especially once I saw Drek, he told me to 'come here' with his index finger. So I did.
Once I got to him, he pulled me into a breath-taking dance and after that...
The entire world spun around me when I was dancing with Drek, he loved staying near me.
And I don't want to lie to myself, because I felt the exact same way.
But then again, this all felt wrong in a good and bad way.
Very bad.
Stopping myself wasn't an option.
Or was it?
We kept dancing as if we were underneath a tranze. Tonight Drek looked devishly handsome, everytime he looked at me, I had to smile at him.
"Thanks for being there for me", he chuckled.
"No problem", and then he quickly dipped me as if we were dancing tango this whole time.
Even though we weren't.
The look in his eyes made me believe that maybe, just maybe my old friend Drek is badly, deeply in l-.....
A sweet melodic howl had me jump back into reality.
I took off on Drek, but not before I heard his viscious growl.
A growl that I shouldn't have heard, despite how the loud the music was.
My wolf instincts kicked in, I transformed into a wolf.
Without thinking I ran deep into the forest.
Mindlessly I made it into the mid of nowhere in this forest.
Why did I come here?
I was side tackled, before I could attack, my attacker firmly held me on the ground with his two front paws.
He had me in awe. At his wolf-form.
Struggling I tried to lean up so I could like his face, he howled before he let me get up.
Faster than lightning and he was back into his human-form, and behind his back he pulled out a beautiful rose that was light blue.
My eyes watered, it reminds me of when my dad used to surprise me with a light blue rose back at home.
And back then, very quickly I became human again.
Before I ran to him, and kissed him, he immediately dropped the rose onto the floor.
He held me tightly against him, and as we kissed I felt passion between us explode, along with that vision we had when I accepted him.
A low whimper had me pull away from Erix, looking down I saw none other than my little brothers giving me 'curious' looks.
As always they looked adorable in their wolf-form.
Very cautiously they approached me, why would they be doing-..
Once I realized what they were doing, I tried to run. Only to have Erix pull me back to him, he gave me a quick kiss, before he set me down on the floor.
Giving my little brothers a chance to become human again, when they did.
All five of them attacked me.
I laughed and laughed the entire time when they were tickling me.
Who knew that I could be happy again.
