1 Year Later

It has been a year since I got into the Rengoku Residence. Senjuro is the cutest little brother ever and Kyo-san is really kind. I found out that he is a year older than me and we started training together.
Kyojuro is a talented swordsman with gifted strength. He mastered the flame breathing. I found out that demon slayers use this technique called Total Concentration Breathing. There were a lot of different breathing styles, but I think fire breathing is the best one!
"Are you okay, Yuei?" Kyojuro asked in concern after seeing me breath so fast.
"I'm okay, just tired," I said as I sat down.
"Here, have some water," Senjuro offered as he passed me a glass of water.
"I feel like my arms are so weak and puny," I complained and the two brothers laughed.
"It's alright, Yuei-san, It just takes time. I trained when I was around 8 years old and you just started, but you're doing great!" He exclaimed and I blushed a little bit.
"There's something thats been bothering me," the two boys listened in concern. "I heard from Ubuyashiki-sama that my family is special, but why are we special? Why am I special? I just... don't understand," I said in frustration.
It was true that Ubuyashiki-sama mentioned that my family was of a great bloodline. I met him after what happened to me and my family. He said that he was glad that I was alive.
"The Rengoku Family is the original flame breathing users. I know that my father keeps all the records in his library of all the information my ancestors had kept. We should ask Father to help you," Kyo-san smiled.

"The Tsugikuni Family? Ahh, your father never told you?" Shinjuro-san asked and my brows furrowed in confusion.
"Told me what exactly?"
"My ancestors left books and records and the Tsugikuni Family was mentioned. Your family is the descendants of the original sun breath user. This breath of the sun is the original breathing technique, which was said to be the most powerful breathing that even Muzan himself, is scared of it," Shinjuro continued, "Your family holds that bloodline. A lot of things are left a mystery, but one thing is for sure. That you are a chosen user. You might not have the scar, but surely, you have the blood of the most powerful demon slayer."
My mind was blown away.
THIS IS THE MOST COOLEST THING IN THE WORLD AND MY PARENTS NEVER TOLD ME??
"Like what Ubuyashiki-sama told you before, we think that Muzan was the one who massacred your entire family. Your parents never told you of your family's history because they were afraid that Muzan will try to harm you and your brother. Your father was my colleague and was a former Thunder Pillar. He never mastered the technique, but he was a great thunder breathing user. He retired when your brother was born and hid away. He knew of your family's history and he knew that you all would be in danger," Shinjuro-san said and I was in complete shock.
I never knew...
"Your father saved my life once before. That's why I took you in. I saw great potential from you and I view you as my own daughter," tears start to build up from my eyes.
"Do not worry, Yuei, you will surely master the breath of sun. I believe that memories can be inherited," Shinjuro smiled.
This made me more confident in myself that I'll be able to stand up again. I will train more and more and defeat all the demons that stand in my way. I will surely be powerful to face Muzan and avenge my family.

"So that's all the things your father said," I told Kyojuro and Senjuro.
"WOAHH YOUR FAMILY IS AWESOME!" Kyojuro exclaimed.
"Breath of the sun? That seems so cool," Senjuro's eyes were filled with amaze.
"I will train more and more and surely, I will try to look for information about the breath of the sun technique," I said.
Kyojuro then faced both Senjuro and I seriously. "Yuei...Senjuro... I forgot to mention, but I will enter the final selection soon," he said and smiled.
"Final Selection? this soon?" Senjuro said and Kyojuro patted his head.
"I'll make sure to come home and bring some sweet potato!" Kyojuro smiled.
I'm so happy to know that Kyojuro is almost there in becoming an official demon slayer. I'm just a little worried to know that final selection is really dangerous and it takes 7 days to complete, but I know that Kyojuro will be alright.
Kyojuro turned his head and saw my worried face and smiled, assuring me that he'll be fine. He held my arms and embraced my tightly.
"Don't worry about me, Yuei-san. I will surely come back home. Please wait for me," he said softly.
I hugged him tightly and tears rolled on my eyes.
"Promise me you'll come home," I cried.
"I promise I'll come back home," Kyojuro said.
We broke the hug and he looked at me so passionately.
"I will surely come back home because someone will be waiting for me,"
he smiled and I smiled back.
