Jeremiah's POV:
"You have to save her!" Hailey screamed while crying as Grayson held her tight to comfort her. But I just kneeled there watching the paramedics lift Maeve's lifeless body onto a stretcher. She had to make it, I couldn't do it without her. My life was planned i and wanted Maeve to be there.
"She's stopped breathing" one of the paramedics said worryingly the other. My face was stone cold, every second she laid there unconscious was another second the emotions drained from me.
The paramedics started doing CPR while Hailey was still crying as Grayson let a tear out. I was loosing her, I knew.
The paramedics did CPR for another few times, and just as they were about to pronounce her death to us, she breathed. Maeve breathed.
The paramedics instantly started helping her as Maeve sat there shocked while in pain. "Maeve were going to get you to the hospital" I said letting the emotion flow back in.
"Okay" Maeve said as her voice broke into tears. I wiped the pools of tears that were streaming out of her face while she held onto my hand.
Maeve's POV:
The emotions were hitting me like a car and all I managed to do was hold onto Jeremiah.
Shortly after the tiredness over came me so I fell unconscious.
2 days later.
I felt as my eyes flapped open to see bright lights making them close again.
"Maeve!" I heard a male voice say as I turn to see Jeremiah sat next to the hospital bed I was laying in.
"Are you ok?" Jeremiah said while squeezing my hand. "Yes, I'm fine what time is it?" I said as I looked around absorbing the room.
"4pm, you've been asleep for 2 days." Jeremiah said which shocked me. I mean I love sleep but I didn't realise I could sleep for that long!
"I'm sorry" I said to Jeremiah, making his facial expression turn confused. "What do you mean?" He replied
"I'm sorry for sneaking out to the night club with Hailey. I'm sorry for flirting with Jacob and I'm sorry for being horrible." I said in one long sentence.
"All that matters now is that your ok. Whatever happened before doesn't matter. To be honest I should be saying sorry, for hurting you all those times and for not protecting you, I should have been the one to take that bullet not you."
This was the first time Jeremiah had fully opened up to me and shown his emotion.
"And that's why your free. Your free to do what you want. If you want to stay, you can stay. And if you want to leave you can leave." Jeremiah said which shocked me.
I wanted to be free but I didn't want the other life I lived, yes I had friends and a good job but I was truly living a lie. They were friends for clubbing. Ivy wanted me to get drunk every night which I didn't.
"I want to stay" I said anxiously which made Jeremiah's head lift as I assume he thought I was going to say that I wanted to leave.
"What?" He said with happiness in his voice. "I have nothing in my old life. Here I have friends and a place i can be myself." I said making eye contact with Jeremiah who I just realised was in the same clothes he was two days ago which I assume meant he had stayed here since I arrived.
Suddenly Jeremiah got up out of his chair and his lips crashed onto mine. I was surprised by this, but I felt a sensation of butterflies as I let it carry on.
We kissed for awhile. However Jeremiah accidentally elbowed my wound which brought him back to reality. As he pulled away I instantly knew he felt guilty. "I'm really sorry Maeve, I'm happy your staying but I want you to know, your going to be highly protected, with body guards everywhere you go when you leave the house." I didn't mind as long as I was with Hailey, Grayson and Jeremiah.
"That's okay" I said whispering as Jeremiah came closer to to my lips and caressing them once again but this only last for a few short seconds before a slam of the door made us jolt and turn to see Hailey like usual happy as ever with a few tears walk/run over to me.
"Omg your okay! I was so worried!" Hailey said pulling me into a tight hug. "Careful remember she's hurt" Jeremiah said calmly as he sat back his seat. "It's okay" I said clearing Hailey's tears.
"Now I couldn't ask you for obvious reasons what you wanted to where when you got discharged from the hospital but I had a feeling you wouldn't want to leave in the dress you went to the night club in". And she was dam right! I would not be seen wearing that ever again!
"Yes! We need a word about that dress later" Jeremiah said while me and Hailey chuckled. "So I just brought you some leggings, a plain white T-shirt and your favourite zip up hoodie with Ugg's" Hailey said which made me thankful as I thought she would have brought another revealing outfit. "Thanks Hailey" I said embracing her in a hug.
Grayson walked in smiling like usual which made me turn my attention to him. "Grayson!" I said walking over to him giving him a hug. I felt as these guys were my family, like at last I felt happy.
"Maeve. How you feeling?" Grayson said returning the hug. "Sore but alive" I said releasing from the hug. "And hungry"I added making everyone laugh. "Like usual" Hailey said making everyone laugh. I noticed that Hailey's bump was slowly getting bigger which made me smile.
"So when should we go clubbing next?" I said as a joke but I think everyone missed that as the two boys said no in sync while Hailey shouted yes making me laugh.
"I was joking" I said sitting back on the bed. "No more clubbing for Hailey or you for awhile mainly because Hailey can't anymore" Grayson said pointing to Hailey's stomach. "And we're not having a replay of the other night"Grayson added as I turned to see Jeremiah's head lowered. "Anyway when can I leave" I said trying to change the subject.
"This evening you'll be coming home" Jeremiah said. Home. I could get used to it.
8pm the same evening
The doctors and Jeremiah just settled the last paper work while me, Grayson and Hailey grabbed everything from the hospital room I was in.
I walked out in my clothes that Hailey had brought and I had brushed my hair so I felt cleanish however I still wanted to shower but the nurse said I shouldn't shower till later.
She also informed me that the pills they had been giving to me were going to stop when I left as my body needed to heal, but this meant it would be more sore and painful so for some things I would need help with.
"Alright are you ready?" Jeremiah said appearing from the corner. "Yes ready to get home." I said liking the sound of the sentence I just formed.

After a slow ride home, as Jeremiah wanted the driver to be 'extra careful not to rip the stitches' every since the nurse said to be careful I mean I can't even go to pee without being told to be careful not to rip my stitches. I mean that's just confusing.
Anyway we walked through the house doors and saw many staring which made me turn a little embarrassed as I was sort of limping over as Jeremiah was running around from every direction to make sure I don't fall which was now just making me laugh.
I felt for some reason exhausted even though I had just slept for days. Literally. However I wanted to shower which I could finally do as we were home.
"I'm going to take a shower and sleep I'll see you guys tomorrow" I said slowly walking towards the stairs. "Okay I'm coming now and it'll have to be a bath" Jeremiah said which instantly made me turn.
"What?" I said confused "The nurse said to me someone will have to help you bath for the next few days as them days will be more painful than others" Jeremiah said as everyone and I mean everyone was staring.
"Well then it'll be Hailey" I said turning to Hailey. "Oh I'm a little tired tonight Jeremiah will be fine." Hailey said slyly winking at me which i couldn't really say she had to help as I mean she's pregnant.
"Okay. I'll just do it myself" I said carrying on up stairs. I turned a corner into the hallway leading to my bedroom until a hand grabbed my wrist.
"First of all I am bathing you and second your sleeping in my room" Jeremiah said making me blush as I lowered my head.
"No, I'll be fine really just let me bath now" I said. "Nope come on." Jeremiah said dragging me which at this point I just gave in as I was tired and wanted to sleep.
We walked through Jeremiah's bedroom and into his bathroom as my nerves hit as I realised what I was going to do.
"Don't be nervous" Jeremiah said calmly as he unzipped my hoodie. I looked down still feeling nervous.
"I can change myself you know" I said remembering the words from the one night wear he changed me into his black shirt.
"But I just do it so much better" Jeremiah said smirking at me while lifting my T-shirt to show the massive bandage placed on the right hand side of my stomach. I looked up to see once again the face of guilt on Jeremiah's face as I pulled his chin so he was facing me.
"It's not your fault, how many times do I have to tell you" I said to him. "You wouldn't have got shot if I didn't-" Jeremiah started "No me getting shot was going to happen whether you were there or not" I said cutting him off.
By now I was stood in my underwear but I wasn't going to take anymore off for obvious reasons. The bath was put in the corner of the bathroom it was massive compared to my other one. For all I know you could have fitted five of me in there.
I slowly lowered myself in the bath tub as Jeremiah walked into the bathroom as he had just changed into swimming bottoms.
He sat behind me, caressing my back with water as the heat rose to my cheeks making me blush.
"Your beautiful" Jeremiah said placing a kiss on my shoulder leading to my neck. I turned to face him as he kissed along my jawline.
"Why are you doing this?" I said. I know breaking the mood but really I wanted to know.
Jeremiah looked up to me "because I care about you. You changed me in ways I can't explain." He said closing the distance between us.
My eyes traveled to his lips as I lowered kissing his neck making him moan in pleasure.
"I like you" "like a lot" Jeremiah said making me turn to face him. "I do to" I replied before our lips crashed onto each other. We kissed fighting for control until I wrapped my legs around his waist and pushing my fingers through his hair.
"We can't" He said making me pull away. "Your hurt" Jeremiah added making me assume that he just didn't want to. Like his could read my face he grabbed my chin "trust me I want to but you need to get washed and like I said your hurt" Jeremiah said turning me around on his lap and washing me.
"Be my girlfriend" he said calmly while still washing me. I turned to face him once again keeping eye contact. "Sure" I said pecking him on the lips before turning back round.
After we had finished I got out the bath while Jeremiah stood up wrapping me around in a towel. "Thanks" I said while he grabbed his going to get changed.
I changed into a silk night gown that Hailey had got me one day, and headed into Jeremiah's bedroom.
I walked in to see Jeremiah shirtless exposing his abs while his hands were tucked behind his head. I climbed in next to him as I cuddled into him.
"You know you have to leave me some sort of sanity" he said making me turn to him confused "what do you mean?" "I mean it's very hard to stay to stay controlled when your wearing that" Jeremiah said into my ear as I laid back into his chest while chuckling.
"Goodnight" I said closing my eyes. "Goodnight mi amore" Jeremiah replied.
