A streak of sunshine enters my life;
through the chink between the curtains,
that guard the windows from my sight.
Immersed in darkness,
like many a soul-
I crave that brightness
that comes in through the hole.
The light illuminates the dust,
my life is all about-
But I'd rather not concentrate on that,
and soak myself in the warmth,
In and out.
And believe me, 'tis true.
life will always be hard-
and challenges, endless too,
But that single streak of sunshine-
is what will make you last.
