"Drop the weapon!" Coulson shouted as everyone still had their guns pointed at May
"Coulson-"
Coulson cut May off saying, "Drop the damn weapon and kick it over to Kat. May Now!"
May sighed as she put the gun on the floor and kicked it over to Kat who picked it up.
Coulson walked over to the stairs, "Now back the hell up. Over there." Coulson walked down the stairs as May walked over to Lola, "Talk tell us where you rerouted the plane."
"I didn't set this new course. I swear." May said
"Don't lie to me!" Coulson shouted
From inside the lab Fitz shouted, "The plane just turned around for Gods sakes!"
"How is this happening then?" Jess asked as she and Kat moved forwards
"HQ can override automated control of the avionics. Take us anywhere they want. Let me check the instrument panel and I'll be able to-"
Fitz cut May off, "No way!"
"You're not going anywhere till you explain what-"
May cut Coulson off shouting, "It's not me!"
"Why did you have an encrypted hardline?" Coulson asked
"And tried to shoot me when we found it!" Fitz added
May shook her head, "Let's take a breath-"
"Let's not!" Coulson shouted
Coulson moved forwards with the gun but May gave in saying, "It was a dedicated channel to Director Fury. That's the truth."
"Director Fury? I haven't been able to get him on the line for weeks." Coulson said
"You were reporting to him?" Jess asked
May shook her head, "That's all I can tell you."
Fitz sighed, "Oh just come out with it!"
"That's all you can tell us?" Skye said
"I'm under orders. Fury will tell you." May said
Fitz pointed to the glass, "What, was this an order? To shoot me in the bloody head?"
"Hold on. We're not headed to Fury anymore." Coulson said
May shook her head and said, "I don't know where we're headed. And I can't get Fury on the line because Fitz cut the line."
"Skye told me to." Fitz shouted back
"Someone was talking to the Clairvoyant the real Clairvoyant." Skye said
May looked over to Fitz and said, "You were in the walls Fitz. You wanna explain why you were tampering with the plane's sat cables?"
"Sure, because that's relevant don't try and turn this around on me!" Fitz shouted
Coulson turned around to look at Fitz, "Fitz..."
"I was trying to speak to Simmons at the hub." Fitz said
"And you needed an encrypted line? What's so secret that-"
Fitz cut Coulson off shouting, "You tell me! Simmons and I know you two have been whispering, keeping things from us about the drug that saved your life. Simmons is just trying to figure out how the whole thing works!"
"Fitz...who is she talking to?" May asked
Coulson walked over to the door and said, "Fitz open the door."
Fitz shook his head, "No way. Not until we sort this out. I'm not opening anything."
"We can't get anything sorted until you open the damn door." Coulson said, "Skye get your laptop hooked up to our systems. See if you can pull any SHIELD communications. I wanna know where this plane is headed and why."
Skye nodded as she moved over to the door and Fitz let her in opening the door, "Now tell me who is Simmons talking to cause if it's someone we don't trust she's in danger."
Skye was at the desk with her laptop when she said, "Sir there's noise."
"What do you mean noise?" Kat asked as she walked over to Skye
"I mean literally noise across every SHIELD communication channel some sort of blanket signal," Skye said
"Encoded data maybe?" Fitz suggested
Skye nodded, "I think so."
"You wanna fill us in?" Coulson asked as he was till holding his gun at May, "We root you out. A mole. Suddenly our plane shuts down, our communications jammed."
May shook her head, "I don't know what's happening I wish I did. You have to believe me."
"No I don't." Coulson said
Over the radio a voice sounded
"Do you read 616?"
Fitz looked confused as he said, "Where's that coming from?"
"Enemy aircraft on my tail! Over."
"Garrett?" Kat asked
"Kat, I'm under attack drones. Repeat SHIELD drones are on my ass. We're not getting along. Do you copy?"
"Copy." Kat said, "Garrett what's happening we're not in control of our plane."
"Hell if I know tell me you got guns on that thing. I'm coming to you!"
Coulson paused for a second before he nodded to Jess who shot May with an ICER, "Fitz can you manually wire the guns to weapons control?" Coulson asked
Fitz nodded, "If I have cables long enough yes."
"Skye decode the signal we need to get ahead of this. I don't want anymore surprises today. Jess, Kat get to the guns I've got May" Coulson ordered and everyone went to their jobs

Fitz was in the gun control room pressing buttons, "Controls are live."
Kat smiled, "I love this thing." She sat down at the weapons control, "Garrett what's your 20?"
"I'll be on top of you in seconds at your 10 o'clock. Guns hot?"
"Warming up." Kat said as she turned the weapons on
Fitz pointed to the screen , "He needs to pull up. Hey, hey Garrett pull up!"
"He knows what he's doing." Jess said as she pushed Fitz back
On the screen as soon as Garrett pulled up Kat fired and destroyed one of the jets
"That was Joanie. Any thought on Chachi? Now it knows you're here?"
Jess leaned down and said, "Want to roll over play dead?"
"Okay, but Kat make it quick I'm running on fumes. I'll pull up even with your six. Better not miss."
Kat nodded, "Copy that."
"Ready when you are kid."
"Play dead what does that mean?" Fitz asked
Kat was looking at the screen and said, "It means I can't miss." As soon as she stopped talking Garrett span his plane and Kat fired destroying the last two planes, "And that is how you do it."

Kat , Jess and Fitz walked into the briefing room where Skye and Coulson were standing at the table, "It's a simple message repeated semantic encoding. I needed to find the mnemonic key it should take me a minute more to decipher."
Garrett walked into the room saying, "Can I ask the obvious question? What the hell?"
Coulson shrugged and said, "We don't know. We don't even know where our plane is headed."
"I saw your trajectory. You're being tractor-beamed straight to the hub. Those drones were launched out of there for sure." Garrett said
"Victoria Hand." Coulson said quietly
Jess shook her head, "No. no way."
"Can't be what now?" Garrett asked
"The Clairvoyant." Kat said
Garrett's eyes widened as he said, "I thought Ward capped that guy."
Coulson shook his head and said, "I don't believe the man Ward killed was the Clairvoyant. I think he was an unwilling decoy meant to end our investigation."
"That's a lot of trouble to go through for a red herring don't you think?" Garrett asked
Kat pulled Coulson to the side whilst Jess explained everything else to Garrett, "You okay?" Coulson asked Kat shook her head, "What's wrong?"
"Feeling in my gut. Like something big and bad is going to happen I have theories but I don't want them to be true." Kat said
"Guys.." Skye trailed off
They all turned to the screen and the message decoded, "Out of the Shadows into the light. What does that mean?" Coulson asked
Kat sat or rather fell into the chair behind her and said, "It means I was right and something has been growing under our damn noses the whole time."
The messaged then changed into a five letter word which decoded one letter at a time, "Well I'll be" Garrett said
"Hydra? I thought Hydra was defeated after World War two?" Fit asked
Kat shook her head, "It wasn't. I helped bring it down years ago."
"Kat you know them better than anyone, talk." Coulson said
"What does that mean?" Skye asked
Kat stood up, "Hydra was founded on the belief that humanity couldn't be trusted with it's own freedom. What they didn't realise is that if you try to take away the freedom people resist. The war proved that. SHIELD was founded in the destruction of Hydra , I was an Agent of Hydra from the minute I was born... I was in high in Hydra way to high and the new organisation grew I was always told a beautiful parasite inside every group ever I didn't realise that it was SHIELD too. For years Hydra has been feeding crisis, declaring wars. But when history didn't cooperate, history was changed. Phil got me out and we blew them all to hell or so we thought."
"So you used to be Hydra ?" Fitz asked
Kat nodded, "Surprise that's why my file is classified. Wasn't by choice included lots of torture, lots of killing, lots of lying and Phil finding an injured 14 year old on the street."
"And they're back now?" Skye asked
"Hydra always comes back...Cut off the head two more will take it's place." Kat said
Jess sighed, "But it was sent from a SHIELD source. It's got to be some sort of activation signal to Hydra members within SHIELD."
Kat looked up from her phone and said, "No one's answering. Steve, Natasha no one."
"Hand has to be one of them." Coulson said
Fitz put his hands up and said, "Okay, stop stop. What does that mean inside SHIELD?"
Kat chuckled, "It's simple, targeting Level 8 and Level 7 agents, taking power. It goes pretty damn deep."
"So how do we know you're not with your old people?" Fitz asked, "You said it yourself you used to be way too high in Hydra how do we know that you're not again?"
Kat turned around and pulled her shirt up and Fitz and Skye gasped when they saw the amount of scars on her back, "That's why. I never had a choice my parents gave me to Hydra, I never knew what life was like outside of it, my job. I'm not going back to that."
"You know what this means?" Coulson asked
Garrett nodded, "Yeah we're screwed."
"We can't change course." Coulson said, "And we have no idea what's waiting for us at the Hub."
Kat nodded, "Yeah we do. Hydra."
"I say we blow a hole in the side of this puppy and parachute out live to fight another day." Garrett said
Jess shook her head, "We can't."
"It's a cherry ride I'll give you that but let's not just hand over the keys." Garrett said
Fitz looked up and said, "Simmons is at the Hub we have to save her."
"Oh crap yeah Trip's there too. I don't mind saying I don't like the odds on this one we should let the locked up half of your specialist out of their cage. We can use every weapon we can get." Garrett said
"We have to save her." Skye said
Coulson nodded and said, "So we'll fly in there, face the music even if it is the HYDRA theme song."
Kat walked off and Coulson followed her she turned around and said, "You're kidding me right? Look I know Tripp and Jemma are at the Hub but this is Hydra Phil Hydra. You and I both know what they are capable of. I can't go back to those people to the person I was when I was with them. Do you remember what I was like?"
Coulson nodded, "Murdery is the word that springs to mind even at a young age you weren't fazed by killing someone."
"I'm still not and that's the point. If they get me I'm not walking out Phil. I'll die before I go back in Hydra." Kat said
