WHEN CARTER WAS TEN, HE drowned. To say that everyone was well and truly freaked out when he suddenly lurched up from the almost closed body bag would be an understatement, because he swore he saw two women and a man faint from pure terror. No one knew what had happened, not even Carter, so they called it a miracle, a way of God reminding them of his omnipotence. But Carter didn't believe in God nor miracles, so the mystery constantly rattled and bounced around inside his head like a pinball machine and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't win the prize and figure it all out.
Years later, when his brother returns from his time at war, he takes custody of Carter and together, they move to Beacon Hills, a place they both felt drawn to like moths to a flickering flame. With Jordan's experience, it didn't take him long to get a job as a Deputy at the local Sheriff's department that were incredibly grateful for the new hire considering how many of the officers had been killed over the past year. Carter was anxious at first when he moved into the town that was known for its serial killers and peculiar deaths, but his brother was there to reassure him that he would be all right, that if anything would happen, he would be there to protect him.
So, as Jordan started his job at the Sheriff's department, Carter began school and was relieved to find out he wasn't the only new kid which led him to meeting the one and only Kira Yukimura, a sweet and lovable girl with a heart of pure gold. His friendship with the history teacher's daughter resulted in him introducing himself to a unique group of teenagers who seemed to be connected to everything unexplainable in Beacon Hills and when they suddenly have a coyote problem on their hands, they somehow managed to drag Carter along to help.
With Carter's eyes suddenly opened to the supernatural, he must do the best he can to help the coyote whilst trying to figure out what he is along the way. Never would he have expected that Beacon Hills' problems were a result of the supernatural, nor would he have expected growing feelings for the were-coyote he saved. If this was all really happening, then he definitely was in deep waters.

powers: Like any other shape-shifter, Carter has claws, fangs, enhanced senses, speed, strength and stamina as well as healing. However, his eyes glow a bright green when he's using his abilities instead of blue or gold. What separates him from the werewolves is his ability to manipulate water (hydrokinesis) as well as his connection to death. His death powers are similar to a Banshee's in the respect that he can feel the death around him, but he can't predict death.

ACT ONE
teen wolf season 3b
• Carter is friends with Kira Yukimura because she's the only other new kid at school and when she hears Scott's pack talking about Bardo, she drags Carter along. The werewolves immediately notice that Carter is supernatural - they can smell it, but they realise Carter is clueless and then try to help him. When Scott roars, Carter's eyes glow for the first time, which scares the utter living daylights out of him. With Deaton's help, they later figure out what Carter is, because Deaton is amazing. Carter helps to fight their nogitsune problem and because Kelpies are tricksters, Carter has a connection to it. He feels when the nogitsune is regaining control of Stiles in Eichen House and sneaks in to find Malia trying to break him out of the isolation room. The trio then looks into the records at Eichen and after Void Stiles escapes, Carter rejoins the fight.
ACT TWO
teen wolf season 4
• Malia is NOT with Stiles but is good friends with both him and Carter who are trying to help her adapt to living as a human. Everyone apart from Malia and Carter know about her real father, not because they don't trust Carter, but because they know he'll immediately tell Malia. Later, due to his connection to death, he ends up at the crime scene with Lydia and Parrish where they discover Sean's family are Wendigos. Carter should be high on the dead pool 15-25, you can decide how much. After Meredith's visit, they discover the second key and Carter has a panic attack after seeing his brother's name, Malia helps to calm him down and this is roughly the time they start to get together, you can decide when. Jordan freaks out, not because he's on the list, but because his little brother is. When Malia opens the vault with her claws, he realises that she's a Hale and when Malia discovers the truth, she doesn't blame Carter, because they never told him. When Jordan comes back into the station covered in soot, Carter's the one that manages to calm him down before taking him to Derek's loft where he's told about the supernatural.
ACT THREE
teen wolf season 5a
• By now, Malia and Carter are officially together and they are very protective of each other. They will be some cute fluffy scenes for them as their relationship develops. Carter is literally the definition of supportive boyfriend and he's so sweet. After reading the Valack's book, he hallucinates and remembers what really happened the day he drowned. When they find out Jordan's the one taking the bodies, Carter doesn't believe it, but as soon as he saw the charred name tag, he knew it to be true. He doesn't trust Theo because like Stiles, he just gets a bad vibe from him. As soon as Jordan knows what he's done, Carter's there for him like any brother would be.
ACT FOUR
teen wolf season 5b
• Carter - along with Braeden - are the only ones Malia let's help her with tracking down the Desert Wolf and even though he feels guilty about it, he respects Malia's wishes and doesn't tell the pack a thing. The rest of the act is up to you.
ACT FIVE
teen wolf season 6a
• Due to Carter's connection to death, he feels as if something of missing but cannot figure out what. Both him and Lydia are confident that Stiles exists but the pack are not so sure. Malia and Carter's relationship is going well and he's incredibly proud of how much she has progressed. When Jordan's under Mr Douglas' control, he tries to break through to him and almost succeeds. Stiles and Carter are both Malia's anchors because Stiles was the first person she really connected with before she met Carter, so that's why Stiles' disappearance still affects her.
ACT SIX
teen wolf season 6b
• Carter and Malia's plans to go on a trip to France is ruined when a new hunter and an Anuk-ite come into town. Instead of Scott, Carter is the one trapped in the room as the oxygen is sucked out, what they discuss in that emotional moment will be up to you. Obviously there has to be more fluffy Carter and Malia moments because they are adorable together. In the end, they are still together and welcome the new adventure.
• Maybe a sweet epilogue could be written about their lives a few years after the final episode.
