Six months later
It was four months into their junior year and Langston's senior year. Everyone was at the city hall for the big winter formal. Bucky looked around the room as he hid in the dark shadows. He had cut himself off from puck bunnies since Maggie slapped him.
As he was hiding he finally spotted Maggie as she and Langston came down the stairs.
"No.." he whispered
As he stayed in his spot the rest of the night a memory was jogged as he watched them dance. The memory of having to watch her dance with Cory at the sixth grade dance the memory of watching them make out after the dance. That memory popped into his head Langston and Maggie kissed on the dance floor.
He looked down as a tear began to fall he wiped it away. "I gotta get out of here.." he whispered as he snuck out the back. When he got home he locked himself in his room he rested his forehead against the door as he began to cry and punch the door.
He slid down the door and cried as he pulled his knees up to his chest. He saw the time on his watch. He saw that the dance would be over in two hours he quickly changed and packed a bag. He headed back to Buffalo for the rest of the weekend where he continued to stay locked in his room.
The following Monday Bucky and Maggie had Creative Writing III and American History together. He didn't show up for both because he was still in Buffalo. Nobody knew where he went he wouldn't answer his phone.
