Before leaving Central City, Laurel decided that there was one thing she needed to do, whether she wanted to or not. She needed to have a talk with her mom, since it sounds like she was even worse in this reality than she was in the old one and the only reason she thought that is because at least in the old reality when she'd left, her father had still had Laurel with him to help him. This time however, she'd left him to grieve for both of his daughters on his own and she couldn't forgive that. Hell, the only reason she hadn't been pissed at Sara for running off with the Legends after she died in the old reality, since she knew that her mother likely wouldn't be there to offer support is because she knew that her father had Donna Smoak to comfort him, not to mention the Queens. That reminded her, she needed to talk to Felicity about potentially setting their parents up again in this reality, just to see if they were still compatible.

Anyways, since Oliver was talking to Barry and Cisco about the input she and Thea had given for their suits, since neither of them had ever had a Cisco made a suit for and they were kind of jealous, since they all knew that he did the best work. Though the guy who made Kara's Supergirl suit was also good, they didn't have his number. In fact, unlike everyone else on her team besides maybe Roy, Laurel had never even met Supergirl and she was still waiting for Oliver to introduce her.

Anyways, while Oliver and John were occupied with that, Laurel decided that she couldn't keep putting off having this conversation with her mom, since it was honestly overdue, since not only had she walked out on her dad when he needed his wife the most, but she hadn't even bothered to come back to Star City this time around when both of her daughters returned from the dead.

So, with that in mind, Laurel took a deep breath as she stood outside her mother's apartment before knocking on the door.

After a few minutes of waiting, the door opened to reveal her mother and namesake, Dinah Lance, was waiting for her.

"Laurel." Dinah said with a grin as she hugged her daughter.

"Hi mom." Laurel said, trying to keep her emotions in check.

"I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to come and see you or your sister yet, though she did visit me a little while back. I've just been so busy here for work." Dinah said.

"Yeah, for work. Being a professor is so much more important than seeing the daughters you thought were dead for 5 years. Nice to know where your priorities are mom." Laurel said angrily.

"No Laurel, it's not like that." Dinah said.

"Really, then what was it like huh? And also, how could you just abandon dad like that. He'd lost both of his daughters just like you did and yet, you ran. You promised that you'd be there for him in good times and in bad ones. Did you actually mean it when you said those vows?" Laurel said.

"Of course I did." Dinah said, a bit surprised at how upset Laurel was about this.

"Really, because you have a funny way of showing it. I mean you couldn't even be bothered to come to take some time off from work to see your daughters that came back from the dead. I'm sure the university would've understood your desire for time off. But you decided that your work was more important. Dad has a lot of faults, but he always puts his family first. Something that I'm glad I got from him." Laurel said, glaring at her mother intensely, since no matter how she thought about it, there really was no way to justify her mother's actions. In either reality honestly.

"Laurel please." Dinah said.

"I only came here so I could get your reasoning behind abandoning your family when it needed you the most, but honestly, there isn't any reason for it. At least no good reason for it. Honestly, you should go back to using your maiden name, since honestly, you're not a Lance anymore." Laurel said, despite still hearing her mother try to excuse her actions, but honestly, all they did was make Laurel angrier and honestly, she could feel herself needing to get outside before she did something she regretted, though she wasn't sure if that was her assassin side talking or not. All she knew was that something was building up inside her and she needed to get away before it was released, since while she may be angry at her mom, she didn't want to kill her. Not enough to actually do it anyways.

"I need to go." Laurel said, since despite her best efforts, whatever it was that was inside her, it was building and she couldn't stop it, no matter how hard she tried. She needed to get outside before she hurt her mother or anyone else for that matter.

"Laurel, please." Dinah said, but it was no use as her daughter rushed away from her, though Dinah didn't know what the real reason was, she just assumed that her daughter was disgusted by her actions and after Laurel had confronted her about them, Dinah had to admit, she couldn't exactly blame her oldest daughter. She decided that the best thing to do would be to wait for Laurel to calm down a bit and then she'd go to Star City and at least have a talk with Quentin, since she knew she owed him that, since Laurel was right, there was no excuse for her abandoning Quentin when he'd needed her the most.

As Laurel rushed outside the building, she felt her head begin to pound as she felt flashes of memories enter her head, like she had when the Monitor had restored her memories, but this was different. She didn't recognize any of what she was apparently remembering from either reality. That was something she'd have to figure out later.

Anyways, she barely managed to make it into an abandoned alleyway when whatever was building inside of her finally became too much and she could stop herself from screaming and to her shock, she released a burst of sonic energy from her mouth that did some serious damage to the alley and and actually sent her flying back a few feet.

"What the hell was that?" Laurel asked herself as she suddenly felt strange, like a stranger in her own skin. She knew she needed to tell Oliver about this now, along with Team Flash, since if anyone could figure out what was going on with her, it would be them since they were the metahuman experts.

"So, you're sure Thawne won't get suspicious?" Oliver asked Barry as they and Cisco stood in Cisco's workshop.

"Benefits of having the upperhand on Thawne is that now we're able to blind his surveillance system. For once we're ahead of him. Right now Caitlin has him checking out a lead on Firestorm, so he shouldn't bother us." Barry said and Oliver nodded.

"I'm honestly surprised you haven't attacked him yet." Oliver said.

"This is one fight I can't speed through. It's hard, but I know that I have to do this the long way, or else I could end up losing my shot." Barry said.

"Plus you want to enjoy the case of role reversal where we're playing Thawne instead of the other way around." Cisco said.

"True." Barry said.

"Anyways, I think that these plans should satisfy your bunker needs very easily and I've got a majority of your suits done." Cisco said.

"Great. Star City needs the Green Arrow now more than ever since everyday we get closer to the Undertaking and I want to put Malcolm in the ground before he has a chance to do anything. Plus, just like how Thawne killed your mom, Malcolm got my dad killed. I need to pay him back for that." Oliver said and Barry nodded.

"Yeah well, I think that my suit might need a little adjusting." Laurel said as she joined them.

"Laurel, what happened to you?" Oliver asked as he rushed to his girlfriend's side.

"I just discovered I was a meta, though I don't know how since I was with you in Russia when the accelerator blew." Laurel said.

"Okay, we'll need Caitlin to run some tests on you to see if we can determine the cause." Cisco said.

"What kind of powers do you have?" Oliver asked, though he had an idea and based off the look on Barry and Cisco's faces, they had the same one.

"Let me guess. Sonic cry?" Cisco asked.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" Laurel asked.

"Because every one of your doppelgangers from other earths that we encountered in the old multiverse had that power." Barry said.

"Look, I wish we had time to stay here for the tests, but I think it would be better if you had Caitlin send her notes on the testing to Felicity, since not only do we need to be heading back to Star City, but I don't want to risk tipping Thawne off to you being onto him, since I'm sure that the moment he sees me at least, he'll know he's made and speed off." Oliver said and Barry nodded.

"That's probably the best course of action right now. I hope you understand Laurel." Barry said apologetically to her, but Laurel brushed him off.

"Don't worry about it, I need to get back to Star City for the Bar Exam, since while I finished law school before the Gambit went down, my license has likely been revoked or expired, so I need to retake the exam and get my legal license back before I can get a job as a lawyer." Laurel said.

"You passed the mental exam? No offense?" Cisco asked.

"None taken, I understand your skepticism. But one of the perks of having my memories from the old world is that I was able to pass the mental and psychological exams with ease, since I never went through anything that traumatic before." Laurel explained and Cisco nodded since that made sense. At least in their line of work it did.

"Great, let's get going." Oliver said.

"I'll be by next week with your suits and also to help Felicity with upgrading your new bunker." Cisco said and Oliver and Laurel nodded as they headed out, ready to grab John from wherever he was and go home.
