Benvolio moved slowly so as to not provoke the pain in his lower half. When Benvolio made it to the dinning room he found that his mother and father were both sitting next to each other and not on opposite ends of the table.
"Good morning, Mother, Farther." Benvolio nodded his head in acknowledgement as he took a seat opposite them as break feast arrived consisting of variety of foods. Benvolio waited for his parents to start before him. Silence filled the room as the clinking of cutlery resounded around the room. When break feast was finished his mother was the first to speak:
"Benvolio, you're Father and i need to tell you... Something very important." Benvolio's mother looked at the table as if the patterns on the table were the most fascinating thing. Benvolio waited patiently for her to continue. Only to be woken from his slight daydream by his farther clearing his throat.
"It's..errr. about your... um." Benvolio's father coughed into his fist which Benvolio noted he only did when nervous. Now his Mother took off from the place they left - tears in her eyes as she exclaimed:
"We were desperate, we didn't want our only child to die or not be able to have any children. We're so sorry, so so sorry. We condemned our own son out of our own selfishness!" Benvolio's mother placed her head in her hands and started sobbing silently. Benvolio's breathing sped up as he became nervous.
"The Doctor had to implant a womb into you, physically and mentally you are male, but also inside physically female... we were going to tell you when we made an arranged marriage, but we... heard you last night. Who was it?" Benvolio's farther looked ta Benvolio sternly as Benvolio gulped feeling guilty. Benvolio looked down and mumbled:
"Ro-Romeo..." Silence filled the air as the name sunk in. Benvolio flinched as he heard the clear sound of chairs scrapping back.
"You must leave - tonight and take Romeo with you. If the both of you are caught you will be sentenced to death." Benvolio's father grabbed Benvolio's shoulders and shook him slightly to emphasis his point. Benvolio nodded with fear in his eyes as he was rushed upstairs to pack and a messenger was sent to find Romeo to tell him as well and where to meet.
