Rayvn was very beautiful; in fact, she was the most beautiful woman in all of Willowshire. She had everything she could possibly want; all the money in the world, all the latest trends in fashion, suitors asking for just a bit of her time left and right. But all that really mattered was her beauty. Rayvn had pristine pale skin, free of any blemishes, deep violet eyes with which every man fell in love with and every girl would kill for and she had the most beautiful snow white hair, always soft and silky to the touch that cascaded down her shoulders and front perfectly.
Rayvn was not happy with everything she had though. She was not happy with her little Audi Coupe, her top of the line iPhone 6, having all of her favorite, very expensive, sushi at her beck and call, nor all her suitors calling on her. No, she was not happy with any of this all because of one other woman in Willowshire; Jane. Jane was also very beautiful, enough so to be a threat to Rayvn's status. She had long, soft ebony hair, mesmerizing emerald green eyes that caused many to become transfixed and then she had beautiful, perfectly sun-kissed skin. Jane also had many suitors just as Rayvn did.
One day in the heart of Willowshire, Rayvn was walking around with one of her many suitors. This suitor in particular was one of her favorites. He was very handsome, funny, polite, and he could keep up with Rayvn and all her antics and not be intimidated by her personality. Rayvn enjoyed his company and never denied him of having some of her time. Currently, they were taking a stroll through the park, laughing at a story her suitor was telling. All was going well until Rayvn had spotted Jane sitting on a park bench talking with a young man with crimson red hair and captivating golden eyes. Rayvn couldn't help but feel angry at seeing this. She didn't like the fact that Rayvn had any suitors at all.
Rayvn hadn't realized she had stopped walking and was frowning in Jane's direction until her own suitor called her name.
"Rayvn? What's wrong?"
She started, "Hmm? Oh, nothing. I was just wondering who that man over there is."
It was partially the truth. Rayvn had never seen that man with the strange eyes and red hair. She was genuinely curious.
"Come on," she said, grabbing her suitor's arm and starting towards the bench where Jane and the strange man were at, "I want to meet that man."
Her suitor just sighed, "Alright, Rayvn."
Once she reached them, she stopped and gave the most polite smile she could and extended her hand towards the young man.
"Hello, I'm Rayvn Kirkland. And you are?" she inquired.
The man regarded her coolly, golden eyes flashing. A couple beats of silence later, he smirked at her.
"Ah, yes. Rayvn Kirkland. The most beautiful woman in Willowshire. At least on the outside that is."
Rayvn's smile slipped from her face and her hand fell back to her side as she scowled at the man.
"What do you mean by that?" she demanded.
The man just chuckled and stood swiftly, moving towards Rayvn, gripping her arm tightly.
"You'll find out soon enough," the man whispered to Rayvn, "in the meantime, why don't you come with me so we can discuss our... upcoming contract?"
Without awaiting her reply, the man began to walk away with Rayvn in tow. He is stopped though by Rayvn's suitor who had roughly grabbed the man's arm.
"Hey! You can't just take her! T-That's kidnapping!" he shouted.
The man regarded the suitor with a disdainful sneer.
"Excuse me, worthless human," he scoffed, "I am Beelzebub, the Antichrist. The leader above all demons. The God of Death. I can do as I please."
With that, Beelzebub picked up the suitor by his throat and threw him into a tree. He then turned to Jane, who had been silent and watching the ordeal with wide eyes. He inclined his head towards her and smiled devilishly.
"Sorry Miss Jane Carriedo," he remarked, "but I must decline your offer for I have found a better one with Miss Rayvn Kirkland here."
Beelzebub then teleported Rayvn and himself to what looked to be an abandoned amusement park. He kept his grip on Rayvn as they made their way through the amusement park. Rayvn tried to ask Beelzebub questions, but she was only met with silence. They finally came to a stop at a broken down carousel, where they boarded and sat on one of the benches.
Beelzebub smirked at Rayvn.
"Well, Miss Rayvn Kirkland. How would you like to strike a deal with me?" he asked.
Rayvn raised an eyebrow at him.
"And what could you possibly offer me that I could benefit from?" she inquired.
He laughed at this.
"I'm glad you asked, Rayvn dear," he drawled, "I could offer you eternal beauty."
Rayvn perked up at this, but she knew she couldn't accept Beelzebub's offer immediately. She eyed him warily.
"What's the catch?" she sniffed indignantly.
Beelzebub once again laughed at this, but much more loudly than before with much more delight.
"Oh, Rayvn dear! You're such a clever girl!" he exclaimed. "But yes, there is a catch."
He firmly gripped her chin, bringing her in closer to him.
"The catch," he started, "is that once you accept my offer, you only have three months after that to do whatever it is you want to do with what I have given to you. Once those three months are up, I will be coming to collect what is owed to me."
Rayvn had just one last question for Beelzebub, even though, it was clear as day what the answer would be. She had to make sure.
"And what is it that will be owed to you, Beelzebub?" she asked bravely.
Beelzebub smiled darkly and leaned in close to whisper in her ear.
"Why, it is your soul, Rayvn dear," he whispered lowly, then leaning away, "And a word of advice. If you do accept my offer and you try anything to get out of our contract, I will send my demons who will drag you to Hell and you will suffer a fate worse than Death. I can assure you of that."
Rayvn heavily considered the pros and cons of making this contract with Beelzebub. After a few moments, she looked at Beelzebub and extended her hand to him.
"Alright," she said, "I want to make a contract with you."
Beelzebub grinned wolfishly at this and gladly took her hand.
"Very good, Rayvn dear," he exclaimed. "Now hold still, this might burn a little."
He then tightened his grip on her hand and Rayvn felt an intense burning sensation on the palm of her hand. She had to fight the urge to jerk her hand away. A couple seconds later, Beelzebub released her hand and on her palm was a small, glowing red pentagram.
"There," Beelzebub stated, "the symbol of our contract. I have it as well."
He showed his hand to Rayvn and had the same symbol on the palm of his hand. Beelzebub then stood and pulled Rayvn up with him, stepping off the carousel.
"The contract will officially begin at exactly midnight and you will then have three months before I come to retrieve you," Beelzebub told Rayvn.
He then teleported them again, but in front of Rayvn's house this time. Beelzebub walked her to her front door and leaned in close to her face, making it seem like he was kissing her cheek, but it was really just so he could remind her of the terms of the contract and what would happen if she tried to deceive him. He leaned away a couple seconds later, smiling devilishly at her. Rayvn had to force herself to not shudder at the glint of malice in Beelzebub's eyes.
"I've had a spectacular night with you, Rayvn dear," Beelzebub conceded, "I'm very much looking forward to the end of these three months."
Rayvn forced a smile.
"So am I, Beelzebub," Rayvn said, "I can't wait to see you again."
Beelzebub smirked before walking down the walkway. Once he reached the end, he turned back to Rayvn and winked.
"See you later, Miss Rayvn Kirkland!" he exclaimed, walking off once more, disappearing into the night.
Rayvn couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief once Beelzebub was gone. Even though Beelzebub had warned her not to try and get out of the contract, Rayvn just knew she had to find a way to get out of it. She already had an idea of what she could do to prevent Beelzebub and his demons from coming near her while she looked for a loophole in the contract.
Within the first couple weeks, Rayvn worked on her spiritual protection techniques. She continuously practiced the White Light protection technique. She gathered large amounts of herbs for protection and purification of both her home and herself. She used Sage, Sandalwood, Myrrh, Frankincense and the most important of all, sea salt, to purify her house. She went and bought certain crystals and gemstones that carried protective properties. She wore them within her necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings. Rayvn was positive that her spiritual protection techniques would work.
The three months passed by fairly quickly and Rayvn had all but forgotten Beelzebub and their contract. The eternal beauty she had been granted had certainly worked in her advantage. She got tons of offers from movie producers wanting her to play in their films, and offers from modeling agents wanting her to model so-and-so's brand. Rayvn absolutely adored the increased amount of attention she got. Oh, and let's not forget the highly increased amount of money coming in now. Out of everything gained from her eternal beauty, the money was definitely Rayvn's favorite. She went and bought anything and everything her heart desired. But very soon, unbeknownst to Rayvn, she would be taken from everything and all her possessions would disappear along with her.
It had been a couple days after the third month and nothing had happened. Rayvn hadn't seen Beelzebub or any of his demons anywhere. This pleased Rayvn immensely. It seemed to her that she had managed to deceive the great Beelzebub. So to celebrate, she decided to go to the new club with her friends that night. She finally wouldn't have to worry about using her spiritual protection techniques.
Rayvn went out that night without any spiritual protection at all. It would be one of the worst decisions she could make, next to trying to deceive the Antichrist of course. So she went out and had fun with her friends. At the end of the night, Rayvn and her friends had to walk home unless they wanted to risk getting into a wreck or getting a DWI. Rayvn's house was the last one on the walk home, so she would have to walk one block on her own. She wasn't worried though. Nothing bad ever happened in Willowshire, England.
After her last friend had made it safely indoors, Rayvn started the one block walk to her house. It was pitch black out, the only light source being the scattered street lamps. She was slightly put off at how dark and silent it was, so she picked up her pace a little. Rayvn was a few houses down from hers when she heard what sounded like footsteps behind her. Her breath hitched and her heart beat a little faster as she increased her pace once more. However, the footsteps behind her increased in speed as well.
Rayvn risked a glance behind her, only to see those flashing golden eyes, watching her carefully with that glint of malice in them again.. Her eyes widened in fear as she turned around and took off at a sprint. She heard the familiar, unsettling laughter of Beelzebub from behind her.
"You can run, Rayvn dear," Beelzebub taunted, "But you can hide no longer! You're not protected anymore!"
Rayvn just kept running, desperately trying to make it to her house. She felt so stupid. She should've known a couple days late meant nothing. She should've kept on with her spiritual protection techniques. There was no way she could get out of this. But she had to try.
Rayvn had almost reached her house when Beelzebub stepped out in front of her, a devilish smirk on his face. She hurriedly stopped and whirled back around, ready to run off in the opposite direction. But she stopped when she saw that some strange creatures surrounded her. They were large and tall with curled horns on their head, large razor-sharp claws on their hands, goat-like feet and eyes black as coal. Rayvn panted heavily, knowing she had no chance of survival this night. The creatures stalked towards her as she was forced to back up towards Beelzebub. She heard Beelzebub laugh again.
"Oh, Rayvn dear," he laughed, "What did I tell you about trying to deceive me? It just doesn't work. You should've just come along peacefully. Butt now, I'm afraid you're at the mercy of my demons. For all eternity."
Rayvn had been distracted by Beelzebub speaking that she didn't see the demons approaching her until one of them grabbed her. She screamed as a sudden pain enveloped her like liquid fire. The other demons grabbed her as well, causing the pain to increase even more. Beelzebub started to laugh as she screamed in pain.
As midnight passed, the screams of Rayvn Kirkland faded into the night along with Beelzebub's laughter. When morning came, all that was left of Rayvn was ashes with the ground around the ashes burnt black. A week later, everything Rayvn owned disappeared. It mostly all disappeared by cause of fire because all that was left of her possessions had turned to cinders and ashes. Everyone knew what had happened though. Rayvn had made a deal with the Antichrist and tried to deceive him, which is the worst thing anyone could ever do. But no one thought too much on the whole ordeal. Life just went on in the little town of Willowshire, England.
