Luckily weekend came quickly so I didn't have to focus on anyone, but myself and to relax because Rodrigo had a job in the city so he wasn't here either.
I was making tea in the kitchen on Saturday when someone knocked on my door and it was Diego.
- What do you want? - I hissed.
- I just want to talk - he replied - Please...
At this moment I didn't know what to say and I was hesitating when he added:
- I want to make things up... I can't lose your friendship... Please...
- You were the one messing things up, you know that... - I groaned, looking down as I started to get angry again.
- Please, Clarita... I need you... Atleast listen me over once and if you don't like what I'm saying then you can send me away...
He then took my hand and squeezed it gently...
- Just give me a chance to speak up... Please...
The way he was begging me I just couldn't say no to him anymore as I wanted to make things up too. I just hope Rodri won't get mad at me for this.
- Okay, come in - I sighed as I let him come in - I'm making some tea to myself. Want some too?
- Uhm... Sure - he nodded, a bit hesitantly.
While I went back to the kitchen he soon followed me as well.
- I'm an awful person, I know... - he started - But I really do love you more than anything...
- Diego... - I turned to him and was about to say something, but he cut me off.
- I didn't finish!
- Sorry...
- All I wanted to say is that... I want to stay friends with you... And if you accept me as awful as I am right now... - he said, looking down and now probably waiting for my answer.
- I want us to be friends too, Diego... But I don't know if it's going to work out, or not... - I sighed - I don't know... If we can keep our distance from each other...
- Clari... Please, atleast try - he begged - I promise I won't do anything that I shouldn't have to.
He then smiled at me.
- I need you... My life is nothing without you being my friend... Please...
At this moment he looked at me with puppy eyes that he knows I can't resist to.
- Okay, fine - I gave in - Let's give it a try then.
He smiled happily then came closer to me and hugged me tightly.
- Thank you... Thank you... - he whispered.
- Easy! - I laughed - It's okay... Really...
- I'm so stupid, but I won't mess things up again, or do anything "bad" I promise! Well... Until you want me to do it, of course - he said cheekily.
- You... - I laughed and blushed deeply while we were still hugging.
I could not keep my distance from him, or stay mad at him for too long anyway.
