and darkness calls your flashing grin
though it does not assist the din
that clashes round the spinning halls
and crashes through the padded walls
the din that's never to be tamed
the noise that doesn't keep you sane
a room of tomato juice and glass
could be the room that you see last
and wand'ring down the corridors
and pondering 'bout the shut-tight doors
why don't they soundproof all the rooms
so we can't hear approaching doom
they see us smile and contemplate
how best to end our happy fate
I do not know how you will die
I do not think that I will cry
but as your death comes closer home
you should know you're not alone
it's only in your head, you see
your head they store inside a jar
away from you, away from me
to keep your sanity at bay
so you see night and never day
and when you die, you die afar.
