I turned my phone on and saw it was three minutes until my shift was over so I start cleaning up my office
I was planning to clock out right when my shift is done since I wanted to go to my dads house early so I can help him set up for the small party he's having
I got my things and made my way down the elevator, when I got to the first floor I waited a minute before clocking out
"Clocking out right on time?" I heard A deep voice say
I turn my head to see Warren Jones watching me as he stood next to me
I look around to see everyone doing there job and minding their business
"u-mm yea" I quietly say
"What got you in a hurry?" He asks
"I have to go help out my dad with something" I say quickly, he doesn't say anything he just nods
"Well see you next week" he says before walking away
For a second I though I was going to get in trouble for trying to leave a couple minutes early
I let out an exhale of relief before leaving the building and getting in my car
I get my key out of my purse and insert it in the car, I turned the key but my car didn't turn on, I tried again but nothing happened
"Shit!" I hit the steering wheel
I want to call my dad so he can come and help but today is his birthday, that last things he needs to do is come help me on his special day
I groan before exiting my car, I'm just going to ask someone in the building for help
I walk back into the building and to the front desk
"Hey Angie" I say
"Hey Bella, what are you doing here? Isn't your shift over" the lady behind the front desk says
"Yeah but my car broke down and I need help" I said "your the only one here that I get along with" I smiled at her "can you help me?"
"Sorry I would if I could, I don't have a car, I get here in Uber and I also know nothing about cars" she says
"okay Thanks though" I gave her a small smile even though I was panicking on the inside
"But you know who is really good with cars" she said stopping me before I walked away
"Who?" I ask
"Warren" she raised her eyebrows
"I can't ask him though" I say
"Why not? It looks like you guys are getting along well" she shrugs her shoulders
"He's my boss I can't ask him for favors like these" I say
Angie widens her eyes looking behind me before turning back to the computer and continuing back to work
I furrowed my eyebrows and turning around
to look at what she was looking
"Favors like what" Warren said as soon as our eyes meet
"U-uh My—car broke down and I need help getting it to work again" I said shyly
"Oh why didn't you just say so, I'm pretty good with cars, I wouldn't mind helping you" he said
"Your a life savor" I give him a small smile
He smiles back at be before asking "is your car parked in the parking lot?"
"Yeah" I nod
"Do you know whats wrong with your car?" He asks
"Not really but I know it doesn't turn on" I say
"Your car battery probably needs to be charged, I have some cables in the trunk of my car so I can just transfer some charge from my car to yours" he said and I nod not understanding nothing he just said
"Angie I'm going to need Oliver and Alex outside" he tells the lady behind the desk
She nods before picking up the phone and speaking a few words
"They'll be outside waiting for you Mr. Jones" Angie says
"Thank you" he tells her "come on" he turns his head to tell me
I followed him outside and two big and tall men quickly surrounded us
I furrowed my eyebrows and look up to both of the men
"Their my bodyguards" Warren assures me
I just nod and continue too follow him
I really couldn't see anything since Warren and his two bodyguards were way taller than me causing them to block any view from me
"Shit" I heard Warren curse
I got on my tippy toes trying to see what Warren was seeing but I had no luck, I quickly gave up and just decided to ask
"What happened" I said
"Paparazzi" Warren answers
before I knew it my eyes were blind by the bright flashing lights and my ears were aching from all the screaming
"Warren!" Girls screamed
"Any new project soon?" I saw a microphone be pushed against Warrens lips but the body guards quickly pushed it back to the paparazzi
"Look over here!!"
"Warren!!"
"Who's that?"
"Who is he with!!?"
"Is she your girlfriend?" I head someone scream
Oh god
"She's my new assistant" Warren answered
"Is it true you two hooked up in order to get the job?" The paparazzi turned to me "How does it feel working for Warren" a mic was pressed against my lips
"No questions please" Warren moved the mic away from me "don't get lost" he tells me before gently grabbing my hand and pulling me through the crowd
Finally when we entered the parking lot the noises went down and the flashing lights stopped
"Go make sure the paparazzi leave" Warren tells both of his bodyguards
I watched as the tall men left
"You okay?" Warren asks
"Yeah" I nod
"So which one is your car?"
"That one" I point to my car
"The white hybrid Toyota prius review?" He asks and I shrug my shoulders
He chuckles "I'll be right back I'm going to bring my car so we can connect the cables" he said and I nod
I'm not really good with knowing my cars but when Warren came back with his car I could easily tell it was expensive
Well of course he has an expensive car, he has his own company
I watching him as he got out his car and opened the front trunk of both mine and his car, he connected a red and black cable to both cars
"Okay and now we wait" he said as he brushes his hands together
It was quite for a second before I spoke up "thanks for helping me out" I said
"Anything that helps you warm up to me" he answered
"Warm up?" I ask
"Yeah, your acting like I'll fire you in seconds, like I'm some scary boss" he chuckled "i don't blame you, that's how all my workers see me"
"I am scared of getting fired" I say honestly "this job is a pretty big deal to me"
"Your not getting fired anytime soon, your more than good at the job" he smiles at me "all you need to work on is treating me like everyone else"
Knowing how rich and famous Warren is I bet he isn't treated normal which is what he probably wants, to be normal
"I promise I'm a humble man" he says
"Ill fix my attitude towards you, your human just like me after all" I give him a smile "friends?" I ask
"Friends" he smiles back at me "okay I think your car should be charged, check it out" he said as he took the cables out
I nod and quickly got into my car, I insert the key and my car turned on
"Thank you!" I said once again
"See you next week" he waves "don't forget to pick up your paycheck" he reminds me as I drove away
I know this update had nothing to do with Mattia but Warren and Isabellas relationship/friendship is going to be matter later
Also I promise the next update will be more interesting
