Never thought I would have to specify this but I AM NOT SHIPPING TOMMY WITH DREAM.
NOT EVERY RELATIONSHIP WITH A LITTLE AND A CAREGIVER IS ROMANTIC
COOL? COOL.
BTW, this is loosely inspired by the unboxing what dream sent me vid.
Also, tommy and dream live near each other, like twenty minutes away.
I was too tired to capitalize the letters so yea. aesthetic
tommy continued to open the boxes that dream had sent him, he was making dramatic pog faces at the camera that he was using to stream.
he felt truly validated that dream had gotten him all of this stuff, actually feeling cared for while he opened them.
he had now gotten to the box that was labelled, 'open off stream'. he smirked at the box and simply showed it to the viewers it, laughing incredulously.
it was fairly small, but was wrapped in some colourful wrapper, it made his little side happy. tommy had to remind himself that he was streaming and that he couldn't slip.
"this dream fella thinks he can tell me what to do, eh? well, i'll show him how big of a man i am!"
the chat was filling up with some messages that were cheering for tommy and were berating dream, and some were desperately trying to not get tommy to open the box, knowing that sometimes you should read the goddamn label.
when tommy opened the box, he immediately began to almost slip at the sight of all this stuff.
it was the elephant that tommy had specified he wanted when dream and himself were surfing the web for little stuff for tommy, using dream's credit card so it wouldn't show up and his parents wouldn't suspect a thing.
it was just as crinkly and colourful as it was displayed, tommy really wanted to slip.
and on top of that, there were some stray pacifiers in there, he knew that they were there when dream had spotted him chewing on his nails while regressed.
this was clearly meant for when he regressed, dream was the only one who knew, but he was supposed to act as if this was a gag gift and be mad about it.
"eh?! this bitch thinks that i'm some fucking infant?! i am big man tommyinnit! not some small infant!"
the chat was being spammed with 'L' and and laughing emotes.
tommy's little side was heartbroken, why were people making fun of his stuffie?! it was pretty 'n' crinkly and it was better than all those meanies in the chat!
and why was he making fun of something he dearly loved?
he hadn't noticed but he was protectively bringing the elephant closer to his chest, pouting slightly.
he only snapped out of it when he heard a discord notification.
'end the stream for me kiddo, you worked really hard today'
it was from dream.
tommy was now definitely going to drop the second he ended stream.
"well, that's it for now boys! hope ya'll enjoyed this stream and this will be big man. . . out!"
when he said 'out' he quickly ended stream and immediately fell into the familiar headspace, and he fell hard.
he was now freely allowed to admire the elephant, giggling at the crinkling sounds.
it wasn't even a minute later, and he was getting a request from dream on discord to call.
he immediately picked up, besides it was dreamy why got him all this cool stuff. he had to thank him!
"hey kiddo, can you turn on cam for me? i wanna see your pretty elephant and paci!"
dream carefully coaxed the little, showing off his own freckled face to get some trust.
tommy clumsily clicked the button and proudly showed off his elephant, eyes beaming.
"look! look! it crinkles and it's all colourful and it's so pretty! thank you so so so so so so much dreamy!"
tommy continued to babble about the obvious features of the elephant, dream fondly watched as the usually cocky boy was now a marshmallow of wholesomeness.
tommy suddenly gasped, and dream was afraid that he was hurt.
"we could play city in my room and i could be the scary elephant and and--"
tommy suddenly cut himself off and looked around the room, being hit with the realization that dreamy wasn't with him.
he looked back at the camera with light tears in his eyes, making dream's heart crack.
"you're not here. . .i want you to be here!"
tommy whined, throwing the elephant. dream widened his eyes and huffed, he knew that he wasn't actually mad, he could never be mad at little tommy, it was just a way to get tommy's attention.
"kiddo, we need to make a deal."
dream said firmly, using his 'caregiver' voice. tommy immediately turned his head to dream, eager to hear the deal.
"i'll come over. . ."
tommy gasped and nodded his head fiercely, this is what he wanted!
". . . but you have to pick up the elephant and say sorry for throwing them,"
there was the catch, tommy huffed and dramatically groaned. getting up from his seat and wobbling over to the thrown elephant.
he sat back down in his chair, throwing dream a weak glare.
" 'm sorry for throwing you, i won't do it again,"
tommy spoke, completely embarrassed, couldn't dreamy just come over?!
"now give it a warm hug,"
dream teased, prolonging tommy's 'punishment' while placing his keys in the ignition, the engine roaring to life.
tommy hugged the toy tightly, all of his anger being forgotten when he heard the familiar crinkling.
"are you here yet?"
tommy asked, a grin reaching on his face when he saw dream huff fondly.
"no, i just started driving,"
dream stated, tommy laughing at seemingly nothing, probably was just happy and wanted to express it.
"how're you feeling tater tot? i could imagine that streaming was alot,"
tommy immediately began to rant about how people were being mean to his elephant, and how hard it was to pretend not to like any of the stuff sent.
"that's why you read the label!"
dream stated, in a sing song teasing voice.
" 'm was streaming, chat saw the box and asked a'out it!"
tommy defended weakly, pushing his bottom lip out.
dream smiled, and nodded, seemingly turning into some driveway.
and just as he did that, tommy heard the rev of an engine and the sound of a car pulling into his driveway.
he hurriedly opened his curtains and saw dream, with his phone in his hand, waving up at him.
he waved back at him, forgetting that he was in a call with him.
"i'm gonna hang up and go into your house and then we can play together!"
dream excitedly said, making tommy ecstatic as well.
dream hung up and tommy slumped in his chair, pulling his knees to his chest.
"tom tom! you have a friend over!"
he heard his mom call, he cleared his throat before answering.
"tell them to come up!"
tommy didn't tell his parents that he regressed. while he did trust them, he truly did, but he knew how they would react.
his mother would take it as an insult and as a way to say that she did something wrong.
his dad would be ashamed that his 16 year old son was acting like an child, when he already had the opportunity in his life to act like that.
he was so caught up in his head that he didn't notice that dream was in the room.
"hey kiddo, hug time?"
dream offered, kneeling next to tommy in the chair and opening his arms.
hug time was tommy's favourite time, it was when he could let out his emotions. whether they could be happy or sad, he knew that dream would be there.
tommy nodded and took dream's offer, being swooped up and swayed side to side. he sucked on his thumb, which got a tut from dream.
"come on strawberry, i got you some pretty pacis!"
dream opened the the packet of pacis and carefully took out one that was specially made for tommy.
it was the dream blob, but with tommy's iconic red shirt and blonde hair.
"this was made only for my strawberry, the best one ever!"
dream carefully slipped the paci into tommy's mouth, feeling the boy sigh happily into his shoulder.
" 'm special?"
"mhm! the most special ever!"
tommy smiled and eagerly wiggled in dream's arms.
