Y/N POV
I happily walked out the door of my house and jogged down the stairs while holding a book, having my h/c hair loose and wearing a warm light F/C dress that bounced as I was going down. Once I was down I make sure to put my book inside my basket so it wouldn't fall, and started to walk down the path to l'manburg, it felt calm, feeling the wind flowing through my hair, seeing the birds fly past me.
It felt nice as I continue to walk down the path to l'manburg it felt like a good time to sing as so i began
"Little town, it's a quiet village every day like the one before" I began to sing as I made my way to the village "little town filled with little people, waking up to say" I continued as I walked over the bridge, arriving at the village. "Bonjour" Someone said "Bonjour" "Bonjour" "Bonjour" "Bonjour" everyone began greeting me as I continued to sing while walking "There comes Fundy with his tray like always, the same old bread and rolls to sell" I sang as I watched Fundy sell his bread "Every morning just the same, since the morning that we came" I say bowing a hello to a man passing by selling his barrel filled with pumpkins in which I continued to sing "to this poor provincial town-" I was about to continue as I watch Fundy passing by me with a grin on his face "Good morning Y/N" he said with a grin on his face "Morning Fundy!" I replied "Where are you off to?" He asked "I'm off the to the bookshop" I say as I pull out the book out of my basket showing him "I just finished the most wonderful story about a beanstalk and an ogre" I continued as he cut me off "That nice Y/N... NIKI THE BAGUETTES HURRY UP PLEASE!!" He yelled through an open window to get her attention as I was about to say something but I just smh smiling while I began to walk away.
As I walked by two elder women who had a weird look on there face in which I ignored I heard them in the background as Im walking "Look there she goes, the girl is strange no question, dazed and distracted, can't u tell?" they say as I walk pass them fixing my hair ignoring them while I continue to walk through the village I heard them all say "Never part of any crowd, cause her heads up on some cloud, no denying she a funny girl, Y/N!" They say as I hope on the back of a wagon still listening "Bonjour" the driver said to the woman which replied "Good day!" "How is your family?" the driver says to the people he passes by which they each replied back. "Bonjour" the lady said to the sells men at his shop "good day!" "How is your wife!" The lady said as the sells men got bonked on the head by his wife. Which as they continued talking I sang "There must be more than this provincial life!" I say as I hopped off the wagon which arrived at the library.
I walked inside getting greeted by Phil "aww Y/N!" "Good morning Phil" I say as I walk inside the library "I've come to return the book I had borrowed" I say in which Phil look at me in shock saying "You finished already?" "Yup" I replied "I couldn't put it down" I smiled at him while going towards the bookshelf beginning to search for another book "Do you have anything new?" I asked still searching through the bookshelf" "Not since yesterday" Phil said laughing slightly, "That's alright, I'll borrow.. this one" I say grabbing the book off the shelf giving it to him, as he begins to examine it "That one!, but you've read it twice already" he says starting to laugh "Well it's my favorite book I can't help it!" I say as I go down the ladder that connects to the shelf "its based of far off places, daring sword fights, magic spells, a prince in disguise!" I say thinking about the book "Well if you like it that much than you can have it" Phil says giving me the book "really?" I reply "Yes really you can have it, it's yours" "but Phil!" I say as I slowly walked to the door "no buts just take it, i insist" he says as I made my way out the door "Well thank you Phil, thank you very much!" I say as I begin to read the book
Not minding the few people outside the library they said "look there she goes, that girl is so peculiar! I wonder if she feeling well!" "With a dreamy far-off look!" "And her nose stuck in a book!" "What a puzzle to the rest of us, Y/N!" They say as I sat at a fountain in the middle of l'manburg still reading the book. "Oh! Isn't this amazing" I say as I should the book to a sheep that came by "it's my favorite part because you'll see! Here's where she meets Prince Charming, But she won't discover that it's him 'till chapter three!' I say and scrolled the sheep which had taken a bite of a page in the book, soon enough the sheep all ran one way away from the shepherd which the man ran after them.
As I got up from sitting on the fountain I began to make my way back home passing more people in which a lady said "Now it's no wonder that her name means 'beauty' Her looks have got no parallel!" "But behind that fair facade, I'm afraid she's rather odd. Very different from the rest of us" "she's nothing like the rest of us, yes different from the rest of us it's obviously Y/N!" They sang as I continue reading my book.
WILBUR'S POV
As I'm leaning on the wall, I aim at the sky shooting a duck down making it fall straight down, as I watch Tommy running at the falling duck holding a bag out ready to caught it, but as he rose his bag up high the bird landed right at his side causing Tubbo to giggle right beside me. Tommy grabbed the duck by its neck placing it in the bag running back to me and Tubbo "Wow you didn't miss a shot Wilbur, your the greatest hunter in the whole world" Tommy said "yea good shot boss man I can't say the same for Tommy catching skill tho" Tubbo said laughing "ha ha very funny Tubbo" Tommy said while running back.
I proudly blew on the tip of the gun saying "I know I am" I say as I began to walk through the village with Tommy and Tubbo following. "No beast alive can stand a chance against you" Tubbo said as he went next to Tommy. "And no girl for that matter" Tommy said causing the two boys to giggle again. As I turn back at the boys I grabbed their shoulders looking at the with a chuckle "it's true.. and as of girls, I have my eyes set on that one" I said with a huge grin while pointing my finger at Y/N seeing her standing beautifully reading her book "BBH'S DAUGHTER!" Tommy yelled out, Tubbo looked slightly shocked "What's wrong Tubbo?" I asked facing him "Didn't she have a brother that just suddenly disappear out of the blue? Like no one knows what happened to him." Tubbo said looking alittle uncomfortable, I looked at Y/N then back at Tubbo "It is kinda odd but who knows I don't really know what happened to him but let's no focus on that shall we" I say as we looked back at Y/N "oh and to answer your question Tommy, yes it's BBH's daughter, she is the lucky girl I'm going to marry, the most beautiful girl in the world which makes her the best" I said while ruffling my hands on Tubbo and Tommy's hair. I then pull them closer saying "don't you think I deserve the best?" "Of course u do" Tommy said in which I began to sing "You bet right from the moment when I met her, saw her I said she's gorgeous and I feel.." I sang as I looked at myself at a nearby mirror "here in town there's only she, who is beautiful as me, so I'm making plans to woo and marry Y/N" I say as I look around me looking for Tommy and Tubbo who were going towards Y/N who had started walking away
No one POV:
As Wilbur goes after Tommy and Tubbo a group of girls see Wilbur walking by passing the boys trying to get to Y/N who struggle abit loosing her in the crowd, in which the group of girls began to sing "Look there he goes, isn't he dreamy, Monsieur Wilbur, oh he's so cute, be still my heart, I'm hardly breathing" the girls say while dramatically putting one hand on their chest and the other hand covering their face "He's such a tall, brown hair, strong and handsome brute" the girls say as they dramatically 'faint' onto the ground.
As that was happening Wilbur went through the crowd where Y/N went through going after her leaving the two boys behind. As Tommy and Tubbo couldn't keep up with Wilbur they decided to just wait until there was a clearing for them to get to Wilbur without getting lost through the crowd. As that happened Y/N who kept reading not looking at her surroundings and wouldn't let go of the book for one second, suddenly as if on cue Y/N spins while singing "there must more than this provincial life!" As Wilbur continued as he got closer to her "just watch as I'm gonna make her my wife!" Everyone suddenly crowded behind Y/N causing to block the path for Wilbur to reach her, they all then said "Look there she goes a girl who's strange but special, a most peculiar mademoiselle, It's a pity and a sin, she doesn't quite fit in!" They sang as Wilbur looked around to see what he can do to make his way towards Y/N, then he saw an opened door to someone house, in which he went inside and went out the window above being at the roof he made his way towards Y/N as the crowd continued "but she really is a funny girl, a beauty but a funny girl, she really is a funny girl! Y/N!" They sang as soon Y/N heard her name at the end she turned to face the crowd only to see that everyone was doing there usually stuff in which Y/N shrugged off and continued to walk to her house.
As she read her book walking home suddenly stopped by Wilbur "Hello Y/N" Wilbur greeted as he takes her book away from her hands flipping through the pages "Wilbur, may I have my book, please?" Y/N says getting annoyed with Wilbur's sudden action and he pulled away from her as she tried to reach for the book from Wilbur who spoke "How can you read this? There's literally no pictures inside!" Wilbur says as he continues to flip through the book. "Well some people use their imagination u know!" Y/N says while shaking her head "You know Y/N, it's about time you got your head out of those books and pay attention to more important things... like me!" Wilbur says as he throw the book into the mud pointing at himself while standing in front of it blocking Y/N from getting the book, causing Y/N to look up at him and frowned.
As Y/N began to reach for the book Wilbur continued "The whole towns talking about it" he began as Y/N got the book out of the mud and began to clean it with a cloth "it's not right for a woman to read, soon she starts getting ideas and thinking" he said while Y/N cut him off "Wilbur, you are positively prime evil" "why thank you, Y/N.. so what do you say me and you talk a walk over to the storage room and take a look at my trophies" he says as he takes Y/N book once again while pulling her with him walking away, the group of girls from earlier saw them and said "what's wrong with her, she's crazy" "he's gorgeous" one of the girls say without caring about what Y/N said to Wilbur "please Wilbur I can't, I have to get home to help my father, I'm sorry Wilbur goodbye" she says as she begins to walk home. As Wilbur turned around to go home he was face to face with Tommy and Tubbo who stood there laughing then Tommy spoke saying "That crazy man, he needs all the help he can get!" Causing the three to laugh even more when suddenly an angry Y/N heard and turned to face then talking back "Don't talk about my father that way!" Y/N spoke facing Tommy which then Wilbur stopped and agreeing with Y/N facing Tommy and said "Yeah! Don't talk to her father that way!" Causing Tubbo to chuckle trying to hide his laughter. "My fathers not crazy" Y/N said while putting her book inside her basket "he's a genius!" She said as an explosion went off causing them to look at the direction of the explosion which was inside her house causing Y/N to run home, "well I wouldn't really say genius" Tommy said as him and the boys just stood there continued to laugh, as Wilbur watched Y/N run to her house
Y/N POV:
As I made my way to my house I called out for my father hoping he was alright and not hurt "Father!" I called out as I walked through the smoke in the house looking for my father coughing as I made my way through the smoke, then I saw my father getting up dusting himself off mumbling to himself "are you alright father" I say as I saw him standing up looking at the machine "I'm about to give up on this junk" he says as he kicks the machine, I giggle at him saying "you always say that" he then replied "I mean it this time, I'll never get this machine to work!" He said while starring at the machine with annoyance. "Yes you will, and you'll even win first prize at the fair tomorrow, and become the world's famous inventor, and besides Skeppy will be there to support you he always has and always will" I say as I try to make my father feel better and try to motivate him to try once more "you really believe that I'll win?" My father questioned as I answered "I always have believed in you winning and will be supporting you all the way, and you know it!" "Well what are we waiting for, I'll have this thing fixed in no time! Can you hand me that thingy" he said pointing at the tool box, as I made my way there getting him what he asked for not really sure what it was so I randomly got him a screwdriver and handed it to him as he continued to speak "I'm sorry muffin I'm getting quite old to know what the things are called again, anyways did you have a good time in town today?" He asked "What are you talking about father you look so young to even be old already! But I got a new book..... dad do you think I'm odd?" I questioned
I kept wondering if what the people from l'manburg said was true "My daughter... odd? Huh? Where would you get an idea like that?" He says looking up at me as he continues to fix the machine "oh Idk, I'm just not sure that I fit in here" I say feeling a bit sad "there's no one I can really talk to" I continued "what about that Wilbur guy he's handsome" my father began "oh he's handsome alright and rude, and conceited, and oh dad he's not for me" I say as I sit down leaning forward laying on an arm "well don't you worry Y/N because with this invention, it will be the beginning and the start a new life for us... and I think that's done it" my father says as he got up while walking towards me facing the machine "let's give it a try" he says while pulling the lever which a horn sound when off which meant it's turned on and slowly the machine began to chopped the wood with no mistake "it works!" I say as we watch the machine work it's magic chopping the wood pieces in half and being placed in a pile "IT DOES!!" He yelled happily " you did it! You really did it dad!" I say as I went to my father hugging him, proud of his finished accomplishment
The next day went by quickly it was bearly noon when my father began to pack everything while I finished making him a small lunch, well lunches since Skeppy was going to be here any moment, as a few minutes went by Skeppy arrived not long after saying hello once he saw us. I happily walk to him giving him a hug and handed him his lunch which was neatly wrapped in a bag "this is for you just in case you get hungry on the way there" "why thank you Y/N, Bad why can't I have a daughter like yours she is so kind and sweet she even wrapped me LUNCH!" He said sweetie with a smile on his face looking at his lunch then at me "well to bad she is my daughter and u can't change that!" My father told his best friend while still packing, which caused Skeppy to frown at him "OH YES I CAN!" Skeppy yelled as if he were a child "NO YOU CANT" "YES I CAN" "NO YOU CANT" "YES" "NO" "YES" "NO" as they kept yelling back and forth towards each other
As they continued to argue I went to make sure my father had everything he needed and also included his lunch for later if he ever got hungry later in the day and everything was ready I looked back at the two who acted like a married couple I chuckle at their nonsense "If you guys continue to act this way I'ma begin to think you guys are a thing" I said while laughing at the two, my father than stopped and turn to face me which made me golpe standing straight up facing him, he than walked up to me and just as I thought I was about to get yelled at but instead he bent down and hugged me in which I returned the hug he them whispered "if it makes you feel better, skeppy can also be your dad, he can be your friend or buddy when I'm not home okay?" He says as we pull away. I smiled and nod my head at his before replying "of course father ima miss you!" I say as he looks at the where his horse was at which Skeppy took the horse and place his next to the wagon while also putting his bag and stuff he'll need during the journey "ima miss you to kiddo" he says as he kissed my forehead and went to double check everything as I already checked the first time I made my way to skeppy, as I made my way to him he smiled and pulled me in for a hug and of course I happily accepted, once we pulled apart I then say "so my dad says it's ok to have you as a dad as well since he trusts you and knows you care about me just as equally as him" I said smiling to which he looked at my father and yelled "YESSS YOU SEE I ALWAYS WIN!" He says as he hugs me once more out of happiness, in which I just giggled from seeing his reaction
Once we saw that everything was packed and nothing was missing i gave them a farewell hug as they pulled apart and got on the wagon and I waved him and Skeppy a farewell as they made there way to the wagon and got on ready to start there journey to the fair "Good luck Father!" I yelled as they rode off "Thank you Y/N take care while we're gone, we will be home sooner than you know it!" My father yelled back as he went off to the road "Goodbye" I yelled and waved at which they both turned and waved back having that smile not leaving their face soon enough they were farther away where I can bearly see them, so I decided to go back inside and see what I can do for the rest of the day.
