3rd Pov
It was a day before Y/n and her cousin Stella were out in the yard playing Quidditch when Y/n's dad Remus Lupin called for them to eat dinner.
"Y/n, Stella get in it's getting too late!" he said before turning back and going inside the house.
"Race you," Y/n said
"Oh you're on," Stella said hoping off her broom and the two girls ran into the cottage.
"Ha, I win!" Y/n exclaimed
"Yeah yeah whatever you little git," Stella said rolling her eyes. The girls walked over to the dining table where Remus was reading a book.
"What's for dinner?" Stella asked. At that moment Stella's mom Elizabeth came rushing into the house, she was an Auror at the Ministry of Magic so they didn't get to see her a lot
"Remus did you hear Sirius Black escaped?" she asked worriedly.
"Typical Pad," Remus said not even looking up from his book and the others stared at him in shock.
"You aren't shocked that he escaped?" Y/n asked
"Well, I didn't hope he would escape but it's Sirius Orion Black we are talking about, doing those things is his............personality," Remus said putting his book down.
"Wait- so Sirius Black as in my Uncle Sirius Black escaped?" Stella asked
"It is your uncle who escaped honey," Elizabeth said.
"How many Sirius Blacks do we know?" Y/n asked
"Sorry my brain just takes time to process big things like this," Stella said and Y/n rolled her eyes.
"But you both shouldn't worry you will be at Hogwarts, the safest place there is," Remus said
"That psychotic manic escaped Azkaban and it's the most guarded place ever," Y/n said
"Exactly who says he wouldn't break into Hogwarts," Stella added.
"As long as you both are with Dumbledore you are safe," Elizabeth said and Remus nodded.
"Do you think he will come after Y/n or her boy-I mean Harry?" Stella asked smirking. She knew that Y/n had a crush on Harry and her being an amazing and understanding cousin she decided to tease Y/n about it every time she got.
"I overheard some people talking at the Ministry," Elizabeth said "And it seems like Sirius is after Harry but we don't know if he is after Y/n or not,"
"Why would he be after me?" Y/n asked.
"Because of your powers Y/n, no one in the wizarding world has them, and Sirius would want to get your powers because maybe help him with bringing Voldemort to his full strength," Elizabeth said but Remus didn't look convinced that Sirius would do something like that, he was his husband after all.
"All I want is one normal year," Y/n mumbled under her breath
"What?" Remus asked
"Nothing," Y/n replied quickly "Well I should go to bed since school starts tomorrow," she said and left the kitchen.
"I should go too," Stella said she turned around to go when Remus stopped her
"Stella," he said and she turned around "Yes, Moony?"
"Please make sure Y/n stays safe I know she has a thing for doing dangerous things and I just-"
"Moony, she will be fine I mean honestly if she does go hunting for Black," Stella said "Which she won't but if she does she can probably hurt him if not kill him just by using her mind,"
"Stella we know she is powerful, but make sure she stays safe," Elizabeth said.
"I will," Stella said and went to bed.
~Time skip~
"Aunt Liz, where is dad we need to be at Kings Cross Station in 5 minutes," Y/n asks
"He left a bit early, "Elizabeth said
"Why?" Y/n asked
"You don't know he is going to be teaching at Hogwarts this year and he needed to get something from Diagonally Alley he said after getting that he would go straight to the Platform and that we shouldn't wait for him," she explained.
"Wait he is teaching at Hogwarts?" Y/n asked
"Yes I thought you knew," Elizabeth said "Anyways we need to get going or we will be late," she added
"Right I will go get Stella," Y/n said and left to get Stella.
"Ella come on we're leaving," Y/n said when she got to her room
"I am coming stop nagging me!" Stella said rolling her eyes.
"I don't nag!" Y/n exclaimed hitting her on the head
"Ow..that wasn't necessary," Stella said rubbing the back of her head.
"Seriously come on," Y/n said and Stella chuckled
"What?" Y/n asked
"You said 'seriously'........get it 'seriously' and 'Sirius-ly'" Stella said making Y/n break into a smile
"Oh Merlin," she said smiling "Come on," she added and the two girls left the room and went to the kitchen where Elizabeth was waiting for them.
"We are going to be getting there by floo so go ahead go," Elizabeth said
"Stella you first,". Stella nodded, got a bit of floo powder and went in the fireplace said 'Kings Cross Station', and disappeared. "Y/n you next," Y/n went to the fireplace getting a bit of floo powder, and said 'Kings Cross Station' and disappeared.
Y/n got to Kings Cross Station and started to look for Platforms 9 and 10 where Stella was waiting for her. She found it and went next to Stella "It takes you so long," she said rolling her eyes
"Whatever let's just go in," Y/n said
"You go I will say goodbye to mum and then come," Stella said
"Ok do you want me to save you a compartment or-?"
"No, I am going to be sitting with Daphne, Blaise, and Theo anyways," Stella said. Y/n said goodbye and went through the barrier.
She got through to see the scarlet red train and kids running around saying goodbye to their parents. Y/n got on the train and started to look for her friends Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Harry Potter. She was looking for them when she heard a couple of very familiar voices "Y/n!" she turned around to see two tall redheaded boys standing behind her smiling broadly Fred and George Weasley or as she liked to call them 'the marauders 2.0,' and she wasn't wrong they had the marauders map and created all kind of chaos and got in all sorts of trouble, Y/n helped them too but she just never got caught.
"Gred, Forge so good to see you both again," she said "so what have you both been doing over summer apart from visiting Egypt I saw you guys on the Daily Prophet," she asked.
"Well we have been thinking of a joke shop but we are going to wait until next year to actually start making the product," George said
"That's amazing," Y/n said "Well nice chat boys but I need to go find Hermione and the two idiots," she said walking away.
"Of course go ahead we won't keep you from seeing your boyfriend," Fred said
"Harry not my boyfriend," Y/n said rolling her eyes.
"Yes, love but we didn't say Harry did we?" George said and Y/n eyes widened, she didn't know what to say I mean they were right they say, Harry.
"Uh-I-I'll be on my way now," Y/n said and moving past the twins.
Y/n reached the compartment just before Harry was closing the door "Hey if you don't want me to be here you can just tell me don't shut the door in my face," she said looking at him. He looked very different since the last time she saw him, he had grown taller so now he was about a foot taller than her, his hair was messier but he still had the same emerald green eyes.
"I didn't mean to shut the door in your face," Harry said rubbing the back of his neck "I just had to talk about something and wanted to make sure nobody else heard me," he added.
"So.....you don't want to mean to listen to your conversation? Wow, I am offended Harlord," Y/n said pretending to be hurt.
"No-no I just-I.......oh just get in," he said rolling his eyes and Y/n hit him on the back of the head as she walked in.
"Blimey Y/n," he said rubbing his head and she was smiling innocently as if nothing happened which made butterflies erupt in his stomach. Whenever she smiled or laughed or sat in class with her y/h/c hair in a messy bun that was held in place by her wand, it was a thing that she always did and never explained why. She looked so good he just couldn't stop staring at her.
"Take a picture Potter, it lasts longer," Y/n said winking making Harry blush a deep shade of pink. He went and sat down next to Y/n, Ron and Hermione shared a knowing look and then Ron asked.
"What did you want to tell us, Harry?" Harry told them everything that he had heard Mr. and Mrs. Weasley talking about. Ron looked thunderstruck, Hermione put her hands over her mouth, and Y/n's eyes widened. "I think now would be a good time to say that Siriusblackisaftermetoo," she said the last part quickly.
"Why?" Ron asked "Well because of my powers," Y/n said, "But how did he even get out?" she asked.
"No one knows," Ron said uncomfortably "No one has done it before, and he was a top security prisoner too,"
"But they will catch him won't they?" Hermione said "I mean they've got all the muggles looking out for him too,"
Before anyone could answer the train stopped. "Are we already there, good because I was really hungry," Ron said
"We can't nearly be there yet," Hermione said "It's too early,"
"Then why have we stopped?" Ron asked and the lights went out "Maybe the train broke down?" Harry suggested.
"I am going to go see if Stella is ok," Y/n said and got up she couldn't see anything because everything was so dark. She opened the door and bumped into someone.
"Ah," They both yelled
"Who's this?" Y/n asked
"Y/n?" it was a girls voice that she knew pretty well
"Ginny, what are you doing here?" Y/n asked "I was looking for Ron," Ginny said
"Come in sit," Y/n said. "Who is it?" Hermione asked "It's Ginny she was looking for Ron so I told her to sit down here," Y/n answered.
Ginny went to sit down "Not here I am here," Harry said.
"Ouch Ginny you stepped on my foot," Ron whined.
"Shhhhhhh" a voice came. The man who was sitting there had woken up
"Keep quiet," he said
"Dad?" Y/n asked
"Hello Y/n," Remus said, even though it was dark Y/n could sense that he was smiling.
"When did you get in?" she asked but before he could say anything everything got cold and they could feel someone coming to their compartment.
"Dementors" Y/n and Hermione mumbled under their breath and a slimy hand came through the compartment door and opened it.
"What's a de-" before Harry could finish his sentence he felt as all of his happiest memories were slowly fading away. The time where Y/n "accidentally" poured pumpkin juice all over his head and they laughed all night in the common rooms. And when he and Y/n thought they got in trouble but instead landed quidditch positions. All of that fading away...
"Harry, Harry wake up," Y/n said lightly slapping his face. Harry woke up and realized that he was on the floor
"What was that thing?" He asked.
"That was a dementor," Y/n and Remus said in unison."They are guards of Azkaban and were here to look for Sirius Black," Remus finished.
"What happened to me?" Harry asked.
"Well...." Hermione began
"You sorta went rigid mate we thought you were having a fit or something," Ron said
"Did you guys hear someone screaming?" Harry asked
"Harry no one was screaming," Hermione said. They all stayed quiet until they heard something break making them all flinch.
"Eat," Remus said handing Harry a piece of chocolate. "I am going to have a word with the driver," and he got up to leave.
"I need to talk to you," Y/n said getting up "You'll feel better soon," she said patting Harry on the back which made his stomach do a flip.
Remus and Y/n walked out of the compartment "So when were you going to tell me that you were going to be teaching at Hogwarts?" Y/n asked.
Remus chuckled and said "Well I was kind of waiting till the beginning of the year feast but I didn't know that you and your friends sat in the same compartment as me and my friends when we were younger,"
"You guys used to sit in that compartment too?"
"Ever since our first year,"
Y/n didn't say anything she just smiled. "You talk to the driver, I'll go check on Hermione and the idiots," Y/n said and walked back to the compartment.
When she opened the compartment door, Harry gave her the biggest hug ever and whispered "Thank you," in her ears. Y/n was shocked at first but then she hugged him back too and asked "For what?"
"For sending the dementors away," Harry said
"I bet 10 galleons that he just wanted a hug so he used this as an excuse," Ron whispered to Hermione and she nodded.
"What did you guys tell him?" Y/n asked pulling away from the hug.
"Oh you know how you just magically made a husky-looking white light appear that made the dementors go away," He said looking at their two friends who were sitting there smirking.
"You know mate I have to admit your girlfriend's pretty cool" Ron's grin grew larger. Harry went a scarlet shade of red. Y/n blushed too but not as much Harry.
"Anywayyyyyyyys, so did you know your dad was going to be teaching here?" Hermione asked trying to change the subject. But harry and Y/n were too busy looking at each other.
"Hm yea" Y/n said breaking eye contact with harry.
For the rest of the trip, they ate and talked about random things, sometimes when Y/n was talking Harry would stare at her like she was the only one there and other times Y/n would stare at Harry.
