darkest hours spent
silent-starless,
where the hell is the devil
when you want to deal
flesh of my flesh.
on life support,
clamoring sound feared
phantom silence,dreaded,
thunderous defeat,
death stacked decks
hand has been dealt.
aces an eights-dead mans hand.
full stop
mind etched photographs
forever freeze framed
your final breath.
