Music blasted and the beach was full of adults dancing and kids running around
"Me and Ari are gonna get a quick drink, don't leave this beach, and answer when I call ok ?" My name asked and we nodded before watching them walk off
"Girl I love your nails." I heard and I turned around to see a pretty aSs girl who looked about my age
"Thank you pretty." I told her and she smiled
"Where yall from ?" She asked
"From Florida, you from here !" I asked and a group of people had ran beside her laughing
"They opened it back up for tonight." One of them told her before looking at me
"Im not, in from Louisiana, but I've been living here since a kid." She said and I nodded
"Y'all look like cool people though, I'm Ryen, this is Donte, Chris, Elijah... Faith, And True." She introduced
We introduced ourselves before we had talked a little a more and I found out that all except for Ryen and Donte were from Puerto Rico. Donte was from New York, and you could definitely hear it in his voice. Donte and Ryen were together, the rest were all just friends and they had been a friend group for a few years now.
"What made y'all come down here though ? Puerto Rico don't look no different then Florida." He said and he laughed
"Only similarity is the beach, and it's not fun anymore when it's full of messy people and tourists."
Anna said and we all laughed
Jr and Jd had came over all wet and they were now shirtless and out of breath Smiling
"Who them ?" Jr asked before making eye contact with Faith.
Anna introduced them all again and him Nd he waved before he looked faith up and down
I mean she was pretty, but boy.
"She gay man." Chris chuckled and jr lightly laughed
"I wasn't on that, my bad ." He lied
"First of all I'm bi Chris, and you good." She laughed

"Well, they're gonna wanna be around each other for a while, yall should come hang with us tonight at this place called "The spot" she said and I furrowed my eyebrows
"I don't know.. my daddy probably isn't gonna let us run around with a bunch of people we don't know." I chuckled and she nodded

Everybody was actually cool as hell, it was like we had been around each other already and I loved that.
"Damn, yall talking bout us, YALL sound lit as fuck." Ryen laughed and I shook my head

"Now us? I remember when Ryen tried to sneak to sneak out of her two story house ? The plan was to catch her.." Donte said
"We did not catch her.." True said and we busted out laughing
"What y'all mean ? How is she walking ?" Anna asked
Chris got up to demonstrate how her body was and he did a L movement and she smacked her teeth
"I like fractured something I don't know, I was up and moving like two days later I didn't care" she said and I shook my head
"Girl you sound like Liyah." I said and Liyah smacked her teeth before laughing l
We all were talking a cubing to music for about another hour until my ma and Ari had came over
"Hold on where y'all been ?" Liyah asked
"We just got a drink, and chilled at the bar, they're back with the rentals though so let's go," she said and we got up
"It was nice meeting y'all though, don't forget to text us if y'all figure it out." Ryen said and we nodded before they rapped us up

"Where are you ?" I asked

After a few minutes he was walking back with faith and she waved at us before we left.
"What was y'all doing ?" My ma asked
"Nothing, we was chilling."

Once we got to the beach house I raised my eyebrows
"I'm finna beat they ass" my ma mumbled before going around the house and we busted out laughing
In the parking lot sat a red Mustang , and a white one, they were both hard as hell and I know he dropped a bag on them for no reason
"Damnnn unc, they coming like this ?" Jr asked before we walked in the house
"Don't spend anymore unnecessary money, you spent the price to rent a car when you could've bought it for a little more at home . Think" my ma said
"I'll make it back." He said while putting his focus on his blunt
"And where the hell did y'all get weed ?" Ari asked
"No matter how beautiful the city is, every city got a hood." Brian said and my daddy laughed
My my rolled her eyes before sighing
"Thank you, and I know you'll make it back, just don't spend unnecessarily." My ma said he he nodded

I turned around for Shawn but he said as over with Jr and Jd.
"You should ask." Anna told Liyah and she raised her eyebrows
"No you ask" she whispered before looking at me and I mugged her
"Jr can do it, I'm sure he'd go, and he'll let us go if he goes." I said and Liyah nodded in agreement
Kay-
We had all got into the two separate cars and was getting ready to go to T.G.I. Friday's. Everybody was hungry as hell and I was ready to go back to the house and sleep. We got a whole week to do shit so I definitely wanted to relax today.
Once we made it everybody got out and we shortly got seated to a table
I rested my head on kasha's shoulder and he wrapped his arm around me
"You tired ?" He asked and I nodded
"I got something later, so you probably can get you a quick nap in when we get back but then you gotta be ready by 7:00." He said and I raised my eyebrows
"Ouu, what we doing later ?" Liyah asked

We ordered drinks before everybody went into their separate conversations
"Can I take care of you for once ?" I asked
"You do, as long as you keep holding shit down like you do, I'm well taken care of."
"I mean I wanna plan a night, do something special for you for once " I sad and he raised his eyebrows
"I already got you something." I said and he chuckled
"See and that's what I don't want you doing" he said
"No I had been bought this, like when i had found out about this ring type shit." I said and he nodded

Ari was talking to Liyah and kash cleared his throat
"Shut the fuck up Arianna." Kash said randomly and she mugged him

We all ordered food and kash had looked at Shawn Who was talking to Ary

"Freshman year, we met from when I was running track but I stopped and then we started speaking foreal through Marcus and Liyah." He explained and he raised his eyebrows

"Mhm, j tho n he got some sense." Brian said and Ary mugged him
"Brian." She mumbled and Shawn lightly chuckled
"It's straight, I understand, I'm exactly like this when it comes to my sister." He said and I nodded
"Janiya right ?" I asked and he nodded
"Didn't you mess with her a while back jr?" I asked and he started coughing Before covering his mouth

"Damn I gotta pee."jr said. Wrote getting up and Leaving and kash raised his eyebrows

"Anyways, we met a few people our age at the beach today and they invited us to a small kickback tonight, Jr and Jd's going so we won't really be alone." Ary said changing the subject and Liyah looked at her
"Definitely don't want y'all running around here alone." He said
"We won't be alone, they'll be there and we can even turn our locations on so y'all can pick us up whenever." Ary said and I squinted my eyes
"They can, we'll be gone, and Ari and Brian had plans too, doesn't make sense to leave them bored." I said and he sighed
"Go where y'all say y'all going and I want the locations." He said and they all nodded
"We're serious." I added and they smiled

"I don't know, I see you more of a cheerleader type of girl."

I looked down at the phone before sighing and looking back up

"How life been treating you ? And how Ary been?"
"Life's been ok, just been a few family issues which is always hard cause they really all I got. Ary's been doing better." I answered

"Then come back Marcus , everybody's worried about you" I encouraged

The door opener to Anna who was all dressed

Everyone else dapped us up before Chris had spoke
"Y'all asses not on lock ?" Chris asked and we laughed
"They asses, we grown." Jr said before pointing to him, Jd, and Shawn

We started following them to the back and everybody was turnt, it was one section of everybody dancing and twerking on each other and the other section was really just a vibe
"So how far apart are y'all ?" True asked
"31 minutes and like 5 seconds." I answered and she raised her eyebrows
"Damn ? Y'all must've been some fat babies on god." Donte said And we started laughing
"Noo, our ma is just tiny, and it was her first time." Ary said and he nodded
"What I wanna know is what y'all two was doing earlier ? Faith ain't cussed us out all day," Elijah said and they busted out laughing before faith smacked her teeth
"Fuck y'all, that shit ain't funny." She said before crossing her arms and Jr smiled before licking over his lips.
"That's our business right ?" He asked and she smiled before looking down
Me, Ary, and Anna looked at each other before fake gagging and he smacked me in the back of my head causing me to look at him

Something Megan had came on and me and Ryen made eye.m contact
"This yo shit too?" She asked and I nodded before getting ready to follow her over to where everybody was dancing Amanda Jr snatched me up causing me to sigh

"Shiiit, I don't care, cause I know Ary better not even think about it." He said and she rolled her eyes
"Y'all blowing it." Anna said and Jr shrugged before moving his attention to his phone
"You wanna go with me to get some food?" Faith asked Hr and he looked up
"Yea bro, you wanna come too? Hit the blunt or some shit?" Donte asked and Jd followed Him so quickly

I sighed In relief once he left and I started hyping Ryen up once she started twerking on me.

After about ten minutes she turned around before smiling at me and I rolled my eyes causing her to frown

She smiled before placing her hand on my stomach and she slid it down to my print causing me to smack my teeth

After a minute we pulled up to the empty parking lot and once we came close to the helicopter she looked at me.

This was a spacious one, so we wasn't really pushed together at all.
She grabbed my hand once we started going up and I pulled it up before admiring her ring.
Honestly, apart of me knows that my time is coming, I know that my karma is gonna eventually catch up with me and it breaks a niggas heart to see Kay the way she would be.
Even on bad terms when she would hear bad news, she would go crazy, but I honestly believe her love for me is as strong as her love for the kids and she would do everything she could to continue to be a amazing ass mother to them.
Sometimes I really do wish I would've gotten out this shit sooner. I don't want my kids to live through life as grief, nor do I want my family.
But this love I got for Kayonna ? It really is some shit I just can't explain, it's different, and I wouldn't do half the shit that I do for another bitch. She held it down through thick and thin, she put me over her own damn brother out of love and that's how I know it's genuine. She ain't ever looked at me for what I got, cause even when I didn't have shit, when I was living with my moms, and when I was working for her brother she still held shit down, she didn't care.
She kept me on track throughout high school, she really kept me on track and she was the real reason I graduated.

"We could do like royal blue and silver theme, and we could have our reception in like a big waste to thingy." She said and I looked at her confused

We were now over the ocean and the lights from the boats and shit just gave off a vibe

"First car though? We got they asses they first dog for Christmas and that mut is either in the basement or at Brian's, they don't even take care of it." I said and she laughed
"That's different, they'll take care of a car especially if it gets them from point A to point B." She said and I nodded

"Out of all the times I've had to fuck up you think I would do that shit now?" He asked and I rolled my eyes
"Niggas now just be stupid for no reason so shit you could've." I said before getting ready to walk away but I felt him grab the back of my shorts and he pulled me into him before wrapping his hand around my neck from behind
"I'm not niggas, so don't compare me to them, it should never be no issue on what I'm doing because you should know that I don't even play like that Ary. " he said before slightly moving my head up to look at him

I eventually started kissing back and I felt him run his hands down my back. His lips slowly went down to my neck as he backed me up and my back lightly pressed up against the wall.
I immediately rested my head back as I felt his free hand travel down my stomach and before he was getting ready to slide his hand into my shorts I looked at him
" you gon do that shit right here ?" I cchuckled and he lightly laughed before continuing to kiss on my neck And I closed my eyes again as I felt him stick his hand down my shorts
I heard someone clear their throats and I immediately opened my eyes to see jr causing me to move out of Shawn's grip and he started rubbing over his forehead
"Yea we gon have to watch y'all nasty asses for sure, bring you" ass." Jr waved and I smacked my teeth
"You being annoying" I mumbled before pulling Shawn away with me
"Nah you just being grown, you made a promise so make sure you keep up with that shit."
"Give me a minute." I told Shawn before pulling jr back
"I don't know what type of freak dun got into this family, but not every little thing leads to sex, that's all the fuck y'all think about. Not once since I've been riding around with Shawn has y'all asked if the nigga even had a drivers license." I said and he smacked his teeth

"What happened ?" Jd asked
"Nothing.." I said before shaking my head and going back to the crowd

"You straight ?" He asked and I nodded

Ari and Brian had picked us up and by the time we had got home ma and daddy still wasn't back yet.
"Where are they ?" Liyah asked
"Grown folk business." Brian said and I smacked my teeth
Everybody went upstairs drained and me and Shawn had both took showers.
By the time I had came out he was getting into his bed and I climbed into his arms before resting my head onto his chest
"What's wrong ?" He asked and I shook my head Causing him to look at me
"You look like somethings bothering you, what's on yo mind ?"
Really I just felt bad, I felt like he was gonna be so mad at me once he found out about the Janiya and Jr situation, but it just wasn't my place to say anything to him, she don't even deserve to be put on blast like that at all.
"Nothing." I mumbled and I felt him caress up and down my back

I felt his kiss my jaw line, and he continued kissing down before stopping
"Let's go out on the beach for a lil minute ?" He asked and I nodded before grabbing a small blanket and sliding on some slides.
No one was up, and my ma and daddy were still gone, so we just went straight out the back door
As we walked a little there was a small silence
"Do you plan on playing football throughout college ?" I asked and he nodded
"I plan on it, I just don't feel like it'll pay off." He said
"Why wouldn't it ?"
"College football isn't high school football , that shit is serious and it takes dedication, I don't even know what college I want to even go to yet.." he said and I nodded
"You can do it though, you constantly put in work, it'll pay off I swear." I told him
"But what about you ? Have you decided on where you plan on going ?" He asked and I shook my head
That's another thing to think about.. what if we go to different colleges ? When we get ready to make our decisions I kind of feel like he'll start to look at us as more of a in the moment type thing.
"What if our colleges are far?" I asked and he looked at me
"We'll figure it out, we got time."
"Yeah, but not really.. we graduate next year." I said and he shrugged
"We can still work it out, we'll both be busy through college anyways with our sport, school, it'll work out." He said before wrapping his arm around me

We both made eye contact for a few seconds before he smiled and began pecking my lips and I smiled before wrapping my hands around his neck And pulling him down closer to me
His lips touched my neck and he began moving them further down and I tilted my head up
"You always do this when you can't." I told him
"I wouldn't be doing it if I couldn't." He said and I chuckled
"Just nasty." I told him and he smacked his teeth before looking up And licking over his lips
He was so damn handsome. His smooth chocolate skin was so damn attractive to me and the way he carried his self ? Made me never wanna lower my standards for another nigga again. Honestly, I really do trust Shawn, and yes by trust I even mean with my body.
