Chapter 13: He's a Little Ushijima
Ushijima was like a statue back at their cabin. After what happened back in the shore with Hinata, he didn't know what to react anymore that he let the redhead walked away with the little kid.
Hinata Shoyo has a child.
It doesn't matter that Hinata has a child. His feelings never changed a bit. But everything slowly made sense to him.
"Wakatoshi, say did you have a secret child or something? That's seems like the case?"
He remembered what Tendou asked him the day he met Akihiko. Maybe he is a fool for not realizing it. The kid really looks like him.
The way his heart broke by the kid's tears. The way he loves the kid's smile. The way his heart throbs when he heard Akihiko called him Papa.
Of course I'll like it. He is my son, after all.
Another thing that made Ushijima think he's a fool. Of course he and Hinata will probably have a child after that night. Hinata is in heat that time. And Omegas in heat are most probably to get pregnant when had sex with an Alpha. And just how many times did he came inside Hinata that night?
"Wakatoshi, hey what happened to you?" Tendou asked him for seventh time.
"Are you okay? Is something wrong?" Reon pat his friends shoulder
Ushijima shook his head " No. It's just I saw Hinata not far from here."
Semi, drinking an Orange juice said "Then you should've been more, you know, livelier?"
Shirabu sips his beer despite Semi's objection "Yeah. And you look like you're thinking something that will really shook us."
"I bet it will indeed going to shook us!" Goshiki said while eating his twentieth barbecue.
Ushijima became silent for a few seconds. This is not surprising for his teammates as it was just normal for him. Then he finally talked
"I think Hinata and I has a child together."
Tendou fell from his seat, Semi and Shirabu spat their drinks in shock. Goshiki almost chokes on his barbecue while Reon gave a drink to Goshiki, while himself is too shock to say anything.
"W-wait Wakatoshi. How do you think it's possible? No! Is it true?" Tendou asked, smiling. He looks so intrigued but excited.
Semi looked like a lightbulb appeared on his head. "Don't tell me Wakatoshi..." Shirabu immidiately picked up what Semi is trying to say. Tendou's eyes widen
Goshiki and Reon looked at them, frowning. Clueless on what's happening.
Ushijima nods his head "Yes. The child. Akihiko, I think he is my son with Hinata."
Goshiki looked at him incredulously "What? What? Why I didn't know about this?"
Shirabu hit the Raven's head, earning a yelp "Well, it's not as if we knew either. But Ushijima san, that made sense since you and that kid look exactly the same." Semi nods his head in agreement.
Tendou sat closer to Ushijima "Then, the more reason for you to confess your feelings to Karasuno's number 10! If he accepted your confession, you might just be a complete family!"
"I don't think Wakatoshi thinks that's a good thing, Tendou." Reon suddenly said.
"And why?!" Tendou and Goshiki asked in unison
"Remember what I did three years ago, Tendou? I don't think Hinata will react positive if he found out it was me who he slept with that night" Ushijima said gravely.
Now everyone turned their faces into frown, only Tendou and Ushijima knows what the brunette is talking about.
"Oh, Wakatoshi, you still have to say it to Hinata. Hinata won't appreciate it if he find it from someone else." For rare instance, Tendou becomes serious. And this is one of those times
"But he'll hate me, Tendou. We are just getting closer. I know I have a chance now. I don't want Hinata to hate me." And for the first time, their former captain looks so desparate
Semi pats his shoulder comfortingly "He'll appreciate it if he find whatever it is from you. And you should give that decision to Hinata. If Hinata still chose to forgive you, you still have a chance. But if Hinata ended up getting mad at you..."
"It's either you let him go, or prove to him that you deserve a second chance." Shirabu ended.
And so once again, Ushijima is stuck on deciding between being silent or being honest.

"Hey kiddo. How do you know this Papa Big Arms?" Hinata heard Nishinoya asked his son
"Papa Big Arms saved me when I got lost in the city. He treat me ice cream and he's super nice!" Akihiko answered quite enthusiastic
Hinata only sat in silence. Sugawara and Daichi in his both sides while Kiyoko, Yachi and Ennoshita sat across him.
"Hinata, your son saw you and Ushijima in a, how do we say this, very awkward position." Sugawara said lightly trying to find the right words
Tsukishima snickered, "Yeah, hugging and almost kissing is really awkward especially for a child."
"Tsuki! At least be sensitive. Hinata looks so embarrassed, you see." Yamaguchi stopped his blond boyfriend from saying something further
"He should be. If you want to flirt with someone without being caught, at least be discreet and make sure your son wouldn't find you. Boke!" Kageyama silently reprimaded Hinata.
"Shut up Kageyama!" Hinata lifelessly answered.
Kageyama immidiately picked up his friends mood and become silent. When Hinata become like this, he knows that there's something bugging tge ginger so much for him to be so sad. And that's the last thing Kageyama wanted to make his friend feel.
And Tsukishima is the same too. He might deny it. But Hinata is one of the closest friend he has aside from Yamaguchi. So instead of saying nasty remark, he kept silent.
Sugawara wrapped his arms around Hinata "You can always tell me whats wrong Hinata. You know that, right?"
Nishinoya, picking up what's going to happen, carried Akihiko and walked out of the beach house alongside Asahi. Tanaka joined them giving Kiyoko one last look.
"It's just that, okay I'll admit, I like Ushijima. I really do to the point that maybe I might be falling for him. B-but..." Hinata sniffed "Now that he knows that I have Aki, will he still like me? Will he still accept me now that he knows I have a son? Cause as hard for me to say this, but even though I like Ushijima, I know I'll prioritize my son over him. I'll choose Aki over anyone. But... B-but I will be lying if I said I don't want to have them both." Hinata cried in Sugawara's arms
"Shoyo kun, if Ushijima san likes you too the way you do, he will accept you and Aki" Yachi said comfortingly
"And who wouldn't like Aki to begin with. If Ushijima likes you, he'll probably end up liking Aki too!" Kiyoko added
Tsukishima only shook his head secretly. If his hunches was right, Ushijima surely will end up not only liking Aki, but he will most definitely love the child. Akihiko is his child anyway. And if not...
Hell will break lose if that Ushiwaka hurt Hinata. Kageyama and Tsukishima mentally said in unison.
"But you're right Hinata. Whatever happens, always stay strong and choose Akihiko. You're a good father so I know you'll choose him above anyone else." Daichi said
Sugawara nods "Be positive Hinata. It seems like Ushijima likes Aki too much he let's your son call him Papa Big Arms!" Sugawara teased Hinata
Suddenly that hit on Kageyama. Is it possible? Now that I realize it, Akihiko and Ushijima looks exactly alike. Kageyama instinctively turned his stare on Tsukishima, expecting that the Blond might thought the same as him and to his surprise...
Tsukishima only looked him and nodded, like his telling the raven that they are thinking the same thing, and what he was thinking might be right.
And on that moment, Kageyama thought of confronting Ushijima to find the truth. And if he find out that Ushijima is the one Hinata slept with three years ago...
He don't know if he could let Ushijima go near Hinata or Akihiko. Cause that truth will probably and most definitely will hurt his Boke.
