The entire house was decorated with white curtains but beautiful white flowers.Colors everywhere.
Each type of color was present in the plates and kept accordingly.Since Bondita denied being a badi bahu of Rcs,Manorama was asked to take care of the Arrangements. But alas, Manorama didn't know anything regarding it.So Kaka after giving handful of taunts to Manorama,he gave the responsibility to Naina.Naina took the job happily but Som wasn't happy.
Well because he hadn't seen her since morning to which he was grumpy.
Everyone though for a day,had decided to forget the past days and enjoy the moment.
But apart from all this ,two souls were there who were inside their rooms and hadn't come out.
Anirudh and Bondita!
In study.
Anirudh was looking at the photoframe with a smile but tears in his eyes.
Anirudh- Chanchala...Dol Jatra ki dher saari badhayiyaan. Yaad hai ,humari peheli dol jatra kaisi thi.
Flashback. (I will change a little in the flashback since in my ff bondita isn't 11 year old)
Anirudh was sitting in the study,using the typewriter.
Suddenly he heard anklets sounds and guessed it was Bondita.
Anirudh without looking up said - Bondita, abhi yahan mat aao. Mein kaam kar rha hoon.Baad mein aake pareshaan karna.
Bondita - Arre aap apna kaam karo, mein konsa aapke sar ke upar tandav kar rhi hoon. Mujhe waisee bhi chupna hai.
Anirudh, looking up only to find that Bondita was looking for a place to hide.
Anirudh- chupna? Kyun? Aur kisse?
Bondita- aapke bhaiyon se.
Anirudh- ab kya kiya unn dono ne?
Bondita- arre mere peeche rang Lagane ko pade hai.
Anirudh- Haan toh rang....
From outside- boudi ,chupne se kuch nhi hoga. Samne aao.
Bondita- oo maa go.
She ran and hid herself behind Anirudh's chair.
Anirudh- kya kar rhi ho Bondita.
Bondita saw his hand on the arm rest.
She took his hand and kept it on her head.
Bondita- aapko meri kasam,aap apne bhaiyon ko nhi batayenge ki mein yahan chuppi hui hoon. Please.
Anirudh inwardly laughed at her innocence. He couldn't help but let a smile linger on his face.
Anirudh- aur agar meine tumhari baat nhi maani toh?
Bondita, narrowed his eyes and said - toh..toh mein aapke liye coffee nhi banaungi.
Anirudh first narrowed his eyes. He knew he liked Bondita's hand made Coffee and if he doesn't help her she really might not make a coffee for him. But then smiled thinking that no matter what, bondita would always do it because he had a weapon "please".
Anirudh- aacha theek hai. Karta hoon madat.
Bondita- ehsaan kar rhe hai kya ?
[Mimicking him]"karta hoon madat"
Anirudh- agar madat nhi chahiye, toh theek hai. Mein bol deta hoon tumhare devaron ko.
He pretended to call them- so..
Bondita- aahh. Theek theek hai. Janab maaf Karen. Jo karna hai karo par apke bhaiyon se mujhe bachalo.
One thing which both of them didn't notice is that they had held each other's hand tightly.
Anirudh, smiling- arre tum toh bohot jaldi maan gyi. Maana pa...
Som and batuk entering the study- Dadaa!! Dol jaatra ki deer saari shubhkamnayen.
Batuk was about to apply the color when Anirudh stopped him showing his palm.
Anirudh- batuk ,abhi nhi. Abhi yahan kaam kar rha hoon. Thodi der baad...
Flashback ends.
Anirudh's thoughts were interrupted due to a knock on the door.
He wiped his tears and keeping the photoframe on the table,he went and opened the door to find Som and Batuk standing.
Anirudh- kya hua?
Som - kya hua Matlab? Mr Roy Chowdhary, dol hai. Khelenge nhi?
Batuk - yaa kisi ka intezaar hai?
Anirudh looked at batuk abruptly.
Som - kya keh rhe ho batuk? Mr.Roy Chowdhary kiska intezzar karenge?
Batuk - bondita ka ,aur kiska?
Before Anirudh could say anything, som uttered- kya Batuk tum bhi. Mr Roy Chowdhary kyun Bondita ka intezaar karenge? Bondita ab thodi na unki patni hai.
Batuk- ohh Haan sorry sorry. Khair ek patni ko khafa kiya , Matlab pheli patni ko ab kya dusri patni ko bhi khafa karna hai kya aapko?
Som- exactly.Chalo MrRoyChowdhary.
Anirudh wasn't able to say anything and the brothers dragged him along with them.
As soon as Anirudh came amongst the family members,all eyes landed on him but soon everyone got back to their work.
Manorama's father and mother came towards him and uttered- dol ki dher saari shubhkamnayen Jamai babu.
Anirudh frowned hearing jamai babu from Manorama's mother."Only Bondita's mother has the right to call him like that.Why is she calling him?" All these thoughts were going on his mind when Manorama's father kept a hand on Anirudh's shoulder.
Manorama's father - Jamao Babu aap..
Anirudh- uncle aap jamai babu na kehe ke Anirudh kahenge toh zyada acha lagega.
Manorama's parents exchanged glances and uttered - Par..
Anirudh- koi kuch nhi kahega. Aap bula sakte hai mujhe.
Manorama's parents gave a smile.
Anirudh was about to go to other side when he saw Bondita with Madhav.
Again a frown landed on his face.
He saw that they were talking and giggling on Something simultaneously.
His eyes widened a bit when he saw that Madhav had kept his elbow as a support on Bondita's shoulder and surprisingly bondita didn't have any problem with it.
Unknown to him,his fingers curled to fist.
Som and batuk were watching all this from far. A little smily smirk was playing on their faces.
Som - batuk,Pata hai na kya karna hai?
Batuk - Haan dada Pata hai.
Som - shuru ho jao phir.
Batuk - Haan chalo aap bhi.
Som - hmm.
They were about to move away when someone held Som's wrist from behind.
Som looked behind and saw Naina.
Som - Naina?
Naina - hmmm.
Som - kya hua ?
Naina - kya hua? Kya huaaa.... kuch nhi.
Kuch nhi hua.
Som - naina, tum aise kyun bartaav kar rhi ho?
Naina - mein kaisa Bartaaav kar rhi hoon? Kaise kar rhi hoon? Insaan jaisi?
She stumbled on a stone and fell on Som's arms.
Naina and Som had a eyelock.
Both were staring and smiling at eachother. Naina smeared some colors on Soms cheeks and kept her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
Batuk was looking at them.
Naina whispering to Som - aapko Pata hai.
Som - kya ?
Naina - apki aakhein naa bohot nasheli hai.
Som blushed and looked at Naina.
Batuk came and shouted at Som - aare pagal aadmi , aapki aakhein nasheli ho ya naa ho par aapki biwi abhi nashe mein zaroor hai.
Som came back to his senses and uttered- oo. He made Naina stand.
Batuk- aare boka maanush,oo kya kar rhe ho.inhe andar leke chalo.
Som - tu sab sambhal lega?
Batuk - aree apka bhai sab sambhaal lega. Bharosa rakho.
Som,muttering- wahi toh nhi hai.
Batuk narrowed his eyes but soon widened and uttered - ohh teri.
Som - kya ?
Batuk - kyaa nhi jaaa.
Som - kahan?
Batuk - arre aapki pyaari ardhangini apko chod bhaag gyi. Pakdo usse.
Som - kya.
Looking towards the direction where Naina was standing but he didn't find her.
Som - hey kanha jii. Naina rukkoo.
And he ran behind her.
Batuk - ek pati patni devadas bane hai aur dusre nashee mein. Saara kaam mujhe hi karna padta hai.
Chalo batuk shuru ho jao.
Here Anirudh was angrily looking at Madhav and Bondita. They were talking and laughing. They were so engrossed that they did notice that 2 angry eyes were looking at him intently.
Even Anirudh didn't know why was he feeling insecure seeing them together. Ever since he got to know about there friendship he was insecure. Well,because when Anirudh and Bondita were friends,they slowly opened up to eachother but seeing Madhav and Bondita it felt as if they knew eachother since long.
Batuk came there with two glasses of Thandai.
Batuk - dada.
Anirudh-hmm.
Batuk- kya dekh rhe ho?
Anirudh - kuch nhi. Bolo kya kaam hai?
Batuk - kya dada , aap humesha yeh kyun sochte ho ki mein aapke paas sirf kaam ko lekar aata hoon?
Anirudh- acha, toh aur kis liye aaye ho?
Batuk- woh,yeh thandai dene.
Anirudh- batuk, isme bhaang..
Batuk- nhi dada. Koyi bhaag nhi milayi hai. Shotti.
Anirudh gave a look to him and took the glass.
Batuk - arre piyo na.
Anirudh- pi loonga.
Batuk - nhi abhi piyo.
Anirudh- kaha na pi loonga.
Batuk didn't listen to him and made drink the whole bhaang.
Anirudh, wiping his face- kya hai batuk?aise kon peelata hai.
Batuk - aapka bhai. Chalo dusra glass bhi peelo.
And yet again made him drink the thandai.
By now Anirudh had started loose his senses.
Giving a look to Anirudh, batuk again went to the thandai counter and brought a glass of Thandai for Bondita.
Madhav excused himself as he wanted to go to the washroom.
Bondita was standing all alone.
Batuk came and gave her the glass.
Bondita-yeh kya hai?
Batuk - thandai.
Bondita- batuk mein..
Batuk making her drink the whole glass said- aaj sab jayaz hai. Peelo. And ran away.
Bondita after drinking, stumbled on the stone.
She was about to fall,when Anirudh held her.
[The conversation ahead will be in the drunken state]
Anirudh- tum..tum humesha girti kyun ho?
Bondita- aap..aap kon?
Anirudh- mein..mein.... mein kon hoon?
Bondita, giggling- apko hi nhi Pata aap kon hai?
Anirudh- Nahi yaad hai na. Mein hoon...kon hoon mein? He left bondita and started to think.
Bondita started to walk,though she stumbled.
Anirudh- yaad aayaa...mein hoon.. mein phirse bhool gya. Chanchalaa kahan
Gyi..
He walked on the same way where Bondita was walking.
But while walking he stumbled on a stone, and was about to fall but Madhav came and held him.
Madhav- Anirudh..Anirudh sambhal ke. Dhyaan kahan hai tumhara?
Anirudh- Mera dhyaan..mera dhyaan..
Yeh dhyaan kya hota hai?
Madhav- tumne pee rakhi hai?
Anirudh- kya?
Madhav- are you drunk?
Anirudh- Drunk? Mein nhi peeta..
Madhav- dikh rha hai.
Anirudh- ek sec tum toh vahi..Vanmanush ho na.
Madhav- kyaaa?
Anirudh- tum vahi vanmaanush ho ,jo meri patni ke aas paas ghumta rehta hai.
Madhav- kya?
Anirudh, stumbling - dekho,warn kar rha hoon. Door raho meri patni se..
Madhav- pehele khud ko sanbhalo.
Anirudh- Haan Pata hai. Don't teach me.
Madhav- I think I have to. I am sorry.
Saying this he pushed Anirudh on the water tub.
Anirudh came out of the water ,half drenched and wiping his face. He was in half of his sense.
Anirudh - what the hell?yeh kya kiya tumne?
Madhav- nahi karta toh hosh mein nhi aate.
Anirudh- kyaa?
Madhav- Mr Roy Chowdhary, aap nashe mein the.
Anirudh- what ,mein kab..
Recalled how batuk made him drink the thandai.
Anirudh- batukkk..
Madhav- umm, tumne Bondita ko kahin dekha hai?
Anirudh- tumhe kyun jaana hai ki woh kahan hai? Kaam nhi hai tumhare paas?
Madhav- nhi hai par Bondita ke liye chod sakta hoon.
Anirudh- kyun kya lagti hai woh tumhari.
Madhav- dost.
Anirudh- toh dosti ke dayere mein raho na.
Madhav- Arrre par..
Anirudh- okay now let me clear you Mr.Doctor. meri patni se door raho. Samjhe?
Madhav- konsi waali? Peheli waali ya dusri waali?
Anirudh coming close to him and looking at his eyes - meri patni Bondita se door raho. Aas paas bhi dikhe toh chodunga nhi.
Madhav retreated with a smile .
Anirudh- has kya rhe ho? Joke maara meine?
Madhav- agar itna pyaar karte ho toh dusra vivaah kiya kyun?
Anirudh- pyaar? Mein koi pyaar vyaar nhi karta. Bas uski chinta hai , isliye. And mark my words. Would you?
Madhav- sure why not?
Anirudh gave a look to him and started to search for Bondita.
Madhav with smile looked at tensed Anirudh. He saw at a direction where batuk was standing. He showed thumbs-up.
Here Som was tired searching for Naina. She was constantly running here and there ,while som behind him.
When he lost track of her, he laid down on the ground.
Anirudh was walking ,looking here and there ,as he remembered that even bondita was drunk.
He stepped on something which he couldn't identify.
Aahhh- person.
Anirudh- aaahh. Ayee. Kon chilaya? Kon hai!
Arre neeche dekho,mere haath pe aapne rakshas jaise paer rakha hai,aapne.
Anirudh- Som..
Som - arre som som baad mein karna apne paer hatao.
Anirudh- ohh sorry sorry.
Som - aah mere haath.
Anirudh- par.tum neeche kya Kar rhe ho?
Som - thak gya .
Anirudh- kisse?
Som - Aapki behen se!
Anirudh- Naina.
Som- Pata nhi kahan?
Anirudh was about to say Something when his eyes went towards the thandai stall.
Anirudh- Som..
Som - kyaa.
Anirudh- saamne dekho
Som - hay bhagwaan.
Anirudh- chalo.
Both the girls were drinking thandai and laughing.
Naina- bonduu....tujhe Pata hai,tere dada na pagal hai.
Bondita- mere dada..mere dada kab paida huye?
Naina - tujhe nhi Pata.
Bondita nodded in no.
Naina - ek baat bolun,mujhe bhi nhi Pata.
And they laughed.
Bondita- Pata hai mere ek dada hai.
Pata hai kon hai?
Naina nodded in no.
Bondita- mujhe bhi nhi Pata kon hai.
Both laughed again.
Naina - meri shaadi hui hai.
Bondita- haww. Kyun?
Naina- Pata nhi. Bas ho gyi.
Bondita- ohh acha. Kyun.
Naina- teri shaadi nhi hui?
Bondita- meri shaadi....meri shaadi kab hui?
Naina- mujhe nhi Pata. Apne pati se puch.
Bondita- Mera pati..Mera pati ghum gya.
Naina- hawww.
The boys coming in front of them.
Som - kya kar rhe ho tum dono yahan?
Naina - tum kon?
Som - naina...
Naina-haww. Apko Mera naam kaise Pata.
Som was about to say when Bondita interrupted- Jasooossss.
Naina- kon jasoooosss
Bondita pointing towards the area where all the people were dancing.
Anirudh saw a person covered in mask. He concluded that it was Manorama.
He sighed and said - koi Jasoos nhi hai wahan.
Bondita coming towards Anirudh and looking at his eyes. His face turned red seeing the closeness.
Bondita- Aapki aakhein..
Anirudh- kyaa.
Bondita - aapki aakhein
Anirudh- kya ?
Bondita- aapki aakhein hai yaa button.
Som bursted into laughing while Naina was looking at som with her big brown eyes.
Naina coming towards Som - ayee... shono.
Som - Haan bolo.
Naina - kamre mein le chalo.
Som - toh jao na.
Naina- mein kaisa jaun.
Som - kyun?
Naina - mere paer ghumshudaa ho gye hai.
Som stared at her in disbelief.
Som - kitne thandai pee hai tum dono ne.
Naina counting her fingers- 1 2 3 4 .. 10 11..
Som - oo rail gadi. Beech ke number khaa gyi kya ?
Naina - number ko khaa sakte hain?
Som hit his forehead and picked up Naina in his arms and headed towards the house.
Anirudh- Bondita tum hosh mein nhi ho. Chalo ghar.
Bondita,whining- nahi.
Anirudh- Bondita.
Bondita- kya hai?
Anirudh- chalo.
Bondita - kaise ?
Anirudh- chalke.
Bondita- Mera paer...mera paer soh gya.
Anirudh- toh usse uthao.
Bondita- nhi uth rha.
Anirudh- hay bhagwaan, ab kaise leke jaun isse.
Bondita- godiiiii.
Anirudh widened his eyes.But soon thought practically and sighed. He picked her up and headed towards the haveli.
Kaka and Binoy saw this and smiled.
In the haveli.
Anirudh entered the haveli,with a wriggling bondita.
Bondita- choddooo.
Anirudh- shhhh.
Chup chap raho.
Bondita silently looked at him with fingers on her lips.
She kept her head on his chest.This made Anirudh stop in his tracks.He looked at her and found her asleep.
He sighed in relief.
On his way ,bonditas leg hit the plate on which the colors were kept.
This sound echoed in whole haveli making Bondita awake.
She rubbing her eyes , asked- kahan hai?
Anirudh by then had reached Bondita's room. He made her lie on the bed and covered her with blanket.
He stared at her face and recalled the flashback.
Flashback.
Anirudh- batuk ,abhi nhi. Abhi yahan kaam kar rha hoon. Thodi der baad mein aana.
Batuk - par dada..
Anirudh- batuk.
Batuk - okay. Par boudi kahan hai?
Anirudh- tumhari boudii..
Som saw Anirudh's hand entangled with Bonditas who was hiding. He smiled and said - batuk. Dada ko kaise Pata hoga. Chal Bahar jaake dekhne hai .
Anirudh- Haa.. Haan woh Bahar gyi thi shayad .
Batuk - okay dada. Chalo somu dada.
Batuk and Som went away. Som closed the doors.
Anirudh- Bahar aa jao.
Bondita- thank you.
She was about to move away when she felt Anirudh held her hand.
Bondita- kya hua?
Anirudh- saamne baitho.
Bondita- kyun?
Anirudh- baitho bondita.
Bondita sat infront of him, in a confused state.
Anirudh- rangon se itna dar kyun?
Bondita- arre woh , mere gaon mein na dol khel rhe the na toh mere bachde pe na rang gir gaya tha aur woh bohot dar gya tha. Aur usse dekh ke mein bhi dar gyi thi.
Anirudh- Bondita.. kya hoga tumhara.
Rangon se darne ki koi zarooorat nhi hai. Rang toh bohot khubsoorat hote hai.
Berang zindagi ko bhi rang deti hai. Aur jo zindagi ko khushiyon se bhar de ,usse kabhi darna chahiye kya bhala?
Bondita nodded in no.
Anirudh- Good. Acha abhi apne aakhein band karo.
Bondita- kyun.
Anirudh- kitne sawaal puchti ho. Karo na.
Bondita sighed and closed her eyes.
Suddenly she felt his hands on her cheeks.
When she opened her eyes ,she saw Anirudh standing there smiling. Bondita touched her cheeks and saw that her cheeks are colored in red.
She smiled and seeing her smiling, Anirudh smiled.
Anirudh- toh, ab ?
Bondita- kya?
Anirudh- dar khatam hua?
Bondita nodded in no.
Anirudh sighed and turned away to think another solution when he felt her palm on his cheeks. She whispered in his ears - Dol ki dher saari shubhkamnayen. And ran away before Anirudh could catch her .
Anirudh smiled widely and taking a handful of colors, ran behind her.
Her payal sounds echoed in whole haveli while he was running behind her , colors in his hands.
Finally when he held her wrist, he threw colors on her and now it was his time to run.
She ran behind him.
The family was outside.
Whole haveli was echoing with their laughter and payal sounds.
Bondita pretended to fall.
Anirudh not feeling her behind him turned to see but was shocked see her on the floor.
He went towards her and sat beside her.- kya hua bondita? Theek ho na ? Zyada lagi toh nahi? Bolo na chup kyun ho.
Bondita smeared color on him and laughed.
Bondita- arre mere bhole bhandari. Kitne naadaan hai aap.
Anirudh understood it was a prank and couldn't help but laugh with her.
Anirudh- bondita..
Bondita laughed and Anirudh also laughed.
Bondita- aaj se mein vaada karti hoon ki sabse pehele rang mein apko lagaungi. Har dol mein.
Anirudh- nhi ,bondita mein lagaunga.
Bondita- Agle saal dekhenge.
Anirudh- haa par usse pehele aaj ka dekhlen?
Bondita- matalb.
Anirudh- Matlab yeh ki.. he threw colors on her and ran away.
Bondita- Pati babu mein aapko chodungi nhi.
Anirudh- chodne ke liye pakadna padta hai. Pehele pakad ke toh dikhao.
And once again the haveli witnessed there Anokhi Holi.
Flashback ends.
Anirudh looking at the sleeping Bondita said - tumne kaha tha ki tum sabse pehele rang lagaogi. Tumhara haq mein kisi ko de sakta hoon kya bhala?
He went outside and brought the plate on which color was there.
He took her hand ,put the palm on the color and kept on his cheeks. As soon as her hand came in contact with his cheeks,tears came out of his eyes.
He opened his eyes and wiped the tears.
He took a handful of colors and applied on her cheeks.
Bondita stirred in her sleep and turned away her face.
Anirudh- meine dekha aaj kaise tumne Madhav roka tumhe rang lagane se. Sirf madhav hi kyun. Har kisi ko roka tumne.
He looked at her face for a while and then leaned, kissed her forehead and left the room .
