Back at the hideout.
Kuroko let out a groan and opened his eyes slowly, he found himself lying down on a sofa.
Kuroko clutched his head and sat up.
"What happened...?"
Kuroko grumbled out loud.
"You're awake"
A voice said, Kuroko looked in the direction of the voice to see Akashi standing by the door with his arms crossed.
Kuroko glared at him and then he remembered everything that happened.
"I should be doing the glaring, you ran away"
Akashi stated with a sigh.
"How did you catch onto my drive?"
Kuroko asked ignoring Akashi's statement.
Akashi smirked.
"Nothing gets past me Tetsuya"
Kuroko glared at him and was about to speak...
"I'm asking the questions here Tetsuya"
Akashi declared and walked in front of Tetsuya.
"Why?"
"Why what?"
"You know what, why'd you run away?"
"I don't think that's your business"
Kuroko looked away not meeting Akashi's eyes.
"It is we're your team, you said so yourself"
Akashi reminded.
Kuroko didn't look at Akashi and didn't say anything.
Akashi sighed then grabbed Kuroko's chin and turned it towards him.
"Eyes on me Tetsuya"
Akashi commanded, Kuroko's eyes widened he tried to look away but Akashi's hold didn't allow it.
"Now wanna tell me why"
Akashi said and stared at Kuroko's eyes with a smirk.
Kuroko only stared at him and didn't say anything.
Akashi sighed and let go of his chin and walked away.
He approached the door.
"You're a handful you know"
"You know if you keep this up...."
He turned to look at Kuroko.
"I'll have to punish you"
Kuroko looked at him stunned and Akashi left.
"What does 'punish' even mean"
Kuroko mumbled to himself.

"So did Tetsu tell you why?"
Aomine asked.
"No, he didn't"
Akashi replied.
"He's a strange one"
Aomine said and crossed his arm's.
"Well he has just joined us so I'm not surprised hes giving us the cold shoulder"
Midorima stated straightening his glasses.
"But we're his friends"
Kise whined.
"Stop ya whining Kise, he's not an idiot like you"
Aomine said and hit him in the head.
Kise cried fake tears.
"MEANIE!"
"Just shut up for once Kise"
Kagami said.
Kise whined more.
"For once I agree with Bakagami"
Aomine added.
"Oi"
They were about to argue but then felt their captain's intense aura and decided not to.
"We should probably go eat now"
Midorima said.
They all nodded and Murasakibara looked excited.
They all headed to where they eat when...
"You're not coming Aka-chin?"
Murasakibara asked.
"Yes, just eat without me I'm not hungry"
Akashi declared and walked off in the opposite direction from then.
"I've seen never Akashicchi like this"
Kise stated and everyone nodded.
"Strange"
Aomine said.
Midorima frowned but said nothing.

A few weeks passed by and Kuroko and Akashi acted normal but Akashi seemed almost sad and frustrated about something.
A routine of getting resources, fighting zombies, training and then relaxing carried on.
Kuroko and Akashi were always a team and Kuroko didn't try to run away again.
No one could help but watch Kuroko and his mysterious self.
For a few odd nights here and there Kuroko would go out undetected and when Akashi asked him about it he ignored him and said it was 'none of his business'.
Kuroko acted distant almost like he didn't want to be close to any of them.

One night.
Akashi was getting impatient with not getting his answers but he had something bigger that he was worried about.
So he went inside Kuroko's room and saw Kuroko awake reading a book.
"Akashi-kun you're still awake?"
Kuroko asked looking up from his book.
"That's my question Tetsuya"
Akashi stated.
Then Akashi suddenly said.
"Stand up"
"Huh"
"Just stand up!"
Akashi yelled this time which surprised Kuroko, he stood up and placed his book on his bed.
Then suddenly Akashi grabbed Kuroko and pinned him by his wrists on the wall.
Kuroko eyes widened.
"Akashi-kun what are you-?"
"Don't speak!"
Akashi commanded.
Kuroko stayed quiet.
"I going to ask this once, I'm getting impatient Tetsuya, where have you been going at night?"
"That's not-"
"Don't you dare answer it's not my business cause it is!"
Akashi yelled.
Kuroko blinked at him.
"Why should you care-!"
"Of course I care!"
Akashi looked at him with pleading eyes.
"When...
when are you going to stop worrying me Tetsuya"
Kuroko was stunned.
"Worrying you...?"
"You have no idea how worried I get when you go out like that"
"What if you get hurt or worse killed!"
Kuroko stared at him shocked.
"This a world of zombies they lurk everywhere and something could happen to you and I wouldn't even know!"
Kuroko looked down at the ground.
"I won't force you to tell me why you go out but I wanna know....
....do you hate me?"
Kuroko looked straight up at him.
"It's not like that I-"
"Then why, why did you run away that time and why do you look so uncomfortable here and with me, why are you so distant?!"
Kuroko looked at him with wide eyes.
"It's just...I'm scared...
to build relationships again"
Akashi looked at him shocked.
"I'm scared to get close to anyone...I'm scared to have you guys hate me...I'm scared to lose you guys"

Then tears began to fall down Kuroko's cheeks.
Akashi stared at him stunned.
Akashi then pulled Kuroko into a hug.
"We won't ever hate you I thought you were smart enough to know that"
Kuroko grabbed Akashi's shoulder tightly.
"Plus we won't go down that easily don't underestimate us"
Akashi smiled and rubbed Kuroko's hair.
"One of my friends said the same thing and died the next day"
Akashi suddenly stopped rubbing his hair.
"It's my worst fear losing what's important to me that's..."
Kuroko said and sobbed.
"But we're here now aren't we"
Akashi suddenly said.
Kuroko looked at Akashi's face.
"And we're not leaving anytime soon, especially not on my watch"
Akashi stated with confidence.
Kuroko looked at him with sadness but he was happy to have someone like Akashi.
"I'm sorry I can't tell you the reason for my going out but...I can tell you I don't hate you Akashi-kun in fact...
I treasure you the most"
Akashi looked at him and a blush came lightly on his cheeks though Kuroko didn't notice.
Akashi hugged him tightly.
"Idiot"
Kuroko pouted and was about to fire back...
"I treasure you too"
Kuroko eyes widen but then they softened and he smiled.
Then suddenly a loud slam came from the door and there stood the rest of the team and Aomine who had slammed opem the door.
Aomine's eyes widened and then they went to anger.
Aomine stormed over to Akashi and grabbed him by the collar.
"Akashi!"
Akashi looked at him surprised.
"Damn it Akashi how dare you make Tetsu cry!"
Kuroko was about to protest but..
"Kurokocchi you okay?"
Kise asked with a worried look.
"Want a snack to make you feel better Kuro-chin?"
Murasakibara asked holding out a snack.
"N-Not that I care, but are you okay?"
Midorima asked hiding his worried look.
"If Akashi hurt you, I'll kill him"
Kagami said with an angry look.
Kuroko stared at them and couldn't believe the sight.
Kuroko chuckled and everyone looked at him surprised.
"Don't worry Akashi-kun didn't do anything"
Aomine sighed and put Akashi down who brushed himself off.
Kuroko wiped his tears.
"Thanks you guys.....for being my friends"
They all smiled at him.
Aomine ruffled his hair.
"No need to thank us we're your friends cause we choose to be"
"Yea, Kurokocchi and we'll always stick around"
"Yea but it would be better if you didn't"
Kagami scoffed at Kise.
"How mean Bakagami we're having a moment!"
Kise yelled.
"What'd you call me!"
Kagami yelled back.
While Kise and Kagami yelled at each other and Aomine joined in while Murasakibara was eating and Midorima was trying to get them to shut up.
Akashi also went over to the group and his presence stopped the fighting.
'It's almost like we're a family'
Kuroko smiled.
'But will this happiness last forever'
Kuroko lowered his head.
'They don't know the true horrors of this world'
Kuroko put up his blank face and talked with the group.
'I wish these moments would last forever just like this'
'But...they won't'
'No matter how much I want them too'
"Tetsuya"
Akashi called stopping Kuroko's train of thought.
"I won't force you to stop going out and I won't pry with what you do...."
"But be careful...I don't know what I'd do if I lost you"
Kuroko looked at him shocked but then smiled.
"Yeah, I'll be careful Akashi-kun"
"You promise Tetsuya?"
"I promise, I also promise when I'm ready I'll tell you all about me"
Akashi nodded and smiled and everyone smiled.
"Just don't force yourself Tetsu"
Aomine said and crossed his arms.
Kuroko nodded and smiled at the group lightly.
"Also Tetsuya I'm going to be giving you a punishment"
Everyone looked at him.
"Eh"
Kuroko said and was now shocked and scared.
"You made us all worry especially me, I think it's only fair"
"You don't need to do that Akashi"
Aomine said.
"It's necessary Daiki but don't worry the punishment won't be too harsh"
Everyone sighed at him.
"Good luck"
Everyone said.
Kuroko sweatdropped.
"I think I should be scared now"
Akashi smiled him a deadly smile.
"Now now Tetsuya no need to be scared now come with me"
Kuroko flinched but put on a deadpan face and followed Akashi out.

In Akashi's room.
"So what's my punishment?"
Kuroko asked he was a bit scared but didn't show it.
Akashi smirked.
"I want you to lie down on your stomach and put your hands above your head on my bed"
Kuroko did as he was told.
Then Akashi suddenly got some ropes and tied Kuroko's hands together tightly and tied the end of the rope to the bed frame.
"W-What are you doing Akashi-kun?"
Akashi just grinned and then got another rope and tied Kuroko's ankles together and tied it to the bed frame.
Now Kuroko was tied to the bed unable to move.
Akashi then brought up his hand and gave a big slap on Kuroko's butt.
Kuroko yelped.
"W-What....kind of punishment is this?!"
Akashi just smirked.
"What wanna do something more"
Kuroko's face instantly heated up.
"No way!"
Akashi brought his hand down for another slap harder this time.
"This is your punishment accept it"
"How...much more....are you going to do this for"
"Until I'm satisfied"
Then Akashi grabbed a cloth and gagged Kuroko.
Kuroko looked at him like what's-this-for.
"This is so the others don't get the wrong idea"
Kuroko's face lit up with a red tint and he looked away.
This punishment continued until Akashi was satisfied and Kuroko had to sleep in Akashi room as he couldn't move.

Morning.
Kuroko was limping slightly as his butt still hurt.
"Akashi-kun's punishments are way too harsh"
Kuroko mumbled.
He saw Aomine who noticed his limping.
"Oi Tetsu, what was Akashi's punishment"
Kuroko was about to speak when...
"I think it's best you don't know Daiki"
Akashi came from behind.
"What do you think we did?"
Akashi asked though he wasn't expecting an answer.
Aomine looked between them then his eyes widen.
"Akashi you devil!"
Aomine yelled.
He then ran off probably to tell the others.
"Why did you tell him that Akashi-kun?"
"Because I wanted to see his reaction"
"Then what was the point of the gag"
Kuroko pout.
Akashi smirked.
"You too fun to tease Tetsuya"
Kuroko pouted and sent a growl to Akashi and walked off.
