•okay so luke meeting you parents for the first time
•he would be so nervous
•like very very very nervous to meet your parents
•he wants to make a good impression but he is scared he won't be able to
•luke makes sure to dress up nice and he even does his hair - which earns some teasing from you
•you try to reassure him that your parents will love him as long he is himself
•you all are having dinner at your house later
•so when the time comes to get out of the car and go inside, luke is practically sweating buckets at this point
•you keep telling him that he'll be fine and it'll be okay, but he is having none of that
•your mom immediately brings him into a hug and you can see his tense shoulders slouch a bit
•your mom makes small talk with you both as you both take off your shoes and walk into the living room
•sitting on the couch is your dad, watch some old hockey game that was recorded on dvr
•he gets up from his spot once he see you and walks over to luke and gives your boyfriend a firm handshake
•you can see your boyfriends jaw clench, so you grab his unoccupied hand and hold it, hoping to calm him down
•when the actual dinner finally rolls around, luke isn't even nervous anymore
•he is laughing and joking with your parents and you're surprised when you look over at your mom, only for her to give you a wink and point at luke in return
•the night ends peacefully, both of your parents end up absolutely loving luke
•you tease him about being so worried in the first place but you're just glad he cared enough to be nervous in the first place
