Al ran up to the car Roy was in with Cecelia on his heels. "Are you going after Hughes' murderer?"

Roy glared at the boy. "You in?"

Al didn't have time before Cecelia stepped around him saying "Couldn't stop us if you tried."

With Al, Cecelia, and Jean all crammed in the back, there was hardly any room to breathe. Cecelia was practically on Jean's lap, with her legs pinched between Al's armor.

Jean laughed, "How you doing kiddo?"

"Definitely been better," she joked back. While following after Barry the Chopper and his body, Al dropped the bombshell on Roy that Homunculi were real and practically unkillable. Roy almost crashed the car when he heard that, but there was no denying what Al had seen. Cecelia felt kind of bad that everyone but her was shocked to find out about these creatures, but it wasn't like she could have expected that anyone would need to know.

The six of them pulled up to the third laboratory and peered around a corner at the front door. First Cecelia looked, then Riza, Roy, Jean, Barry, and finally Al.

"My body ran into there. Probably thinking it can hide from me.

"The third laboratory," Mustang explained. "This ties this directly to the military."

"Roy," Cecelia meekly called still staring at the building. "If these people killed Maes, does that mean somebody in the military is responsible?"

This was the first time Cecelia had spoken to him directly since the Ross incident. He was relieved she didn't hate him. "I don't know anymore Cecelia. But that's all we need for now. We're pulling back."

That was it? One look at a stupid building and they were done? Some plan this was. Barry agreed with her for different reasons. He jogged right past her and into the building, Cecelia had a very opportune moment to stop him, but the girl just watched as he entered the building.

"Well, you all have fun with that."

"Barry get back here!" Jean called pushing Cecelia behind him. "That psycho stormed the building!"

"Yep, it's our lucky day," Roy said, earning a grin from Cecelia. Now that was the man she knew.

Everyone followed behind Roy as he followed Barry. The staff backed off seeing the Colonel looking so angry and any other military personnel were told off by Mustang as well. Getting in was easy, the exits were sealed off, and the five ran down some stairs that seemed fairly out of place.

Alphonse and Jean pushed through broken gates then stopped, once Cecelia's feet hit the floor she realized what the hold up was. There were two corridors to go down and no sign of which way was the right way.

"How the hell are we supposed to find him?" Jean asked through his mask.

We're gonna have to split up." Roy told Alphonse and Riza to go one way and he led Jean and Cecelia down the other. They came upon broken lab after broken lab.

"Doesn't look like anybody has been down here in like forever."

"Guess not," Jean looked around and pointed at a table with his gun. "But what is this stuff?"

"I have no idea," Roy admitted.

Cecelia stepped closer to the table, "Looks like medical equipment, wait-" realization hit her. "The Homunculus named Greed, he said the military made the people who worked for him. They were all chimeras. Fully functional and indistinguishable from other humans"

"You're kidding!" Roy yelled looking over her shoulder at the notes on the table.

        "Wish I was."

"Well now I am just shocked," a deep female voice suddenly said from the depths of the shadows. Roy stepped in front of Cecelia and raised his gun at the person's sudden presence. "It's bad enough that you stood me up on our date, but now you point a gun at me?"

Cecelia had no idea what she was talking about, but Jean's reaction told her enough.

"You've got some nerve, don't you?"

"Solaris?" Jean asked. "What's going on?"

"Stay on guard Havoc," Cecelia hissed from behind the colonel. "Look at her chest. She's got an Ouroboros tattoo."

"Yeah, fisrt time I've seen it." Her chest was fucking huge! No wonder Jean was so into her.

"Quit staring," she giggled. "It's not very polite."

A blush started to go across Cecelia's face, she hadn't been looking at the tattoo either! Also, not that she did this often, but when she compared their sizes, Cecelia was practically flat! Curse being fifteen.

"Well I can see how she tricked you so easily," Roy said with a hint of humor in his voice. "You've always been a sucker for big boobs."

Cecelia had to hold her breath to keep from laughing, "I can't help it!" Jean cried. "I love 'em!"

"Get a hold of yourself," Cecelia mumbled maintaining visual with the woman.

"Did you tell this woman anything?"

"No, I never said a single thing about work sir!"

Roy finally returned to the stiff voice of an officer in danger. "Tell me. Do you know who Maes Hughes is?"

"Oh yes, he was quite the intelligent man, wouldn't you agree?" Lust said with a purr in her tone. "I only wish I had the opportunity to pick out his brain-"

Roy shot her in the knee. He held the same rage that was boiling in Cecelia. "On your knees! I want to know everything."

The woman barely even moved despite the fact an injury like that would cause a lot of pain. Cecelia knew she wasn't done yet.

"Sorry to say," she revealed her knee as red light emitted from the healing tissue and the dress. "But it's gonna take more than what you're capable of to make me get on my kne-"

Cecelia shot her twice in the face. Roy and Jean looked back at her with shocked faces.

"When did you get a gun?" Jean asked. "Who gave you a gun? Roy, did you give her a gun?"

"Course I didn't give her a gun!" he defended. "Cecelia where did you get a gun? Who gave you a gun?"

The girl groaned, she knew this would happen if they saw her with a gun. "President Bradley gave me a gun, I have my license. Now, will you focus!" She shot the healing woman twice more in the chest, but she remained standing.

The woman laughed as she stood straight. "How merciless for a little girl, did you learn that from the hero of Ishval over there?"

Jean seemed to just realize something, "You're a homunculus."

Didn't we just talk about this in the car? Cecelia thought. Where were you, Jean?

"Indeed," the woman cooed. "How very astute of you Jean, but I doubt you've seen this one." Her fingers grew into long needles and she tore into her own chest, pulling her skin apart to reveal just what Cecelia expected. "Take a good look boys, it's a philosopher's stone."

Cecelia was shaking, this thing could peel back her own skin effortlessly? She always knew these monsters were abominations, but this was a whole new level.

"I was created with this stone at my core. It's not just a legend, it's my heart."

Roy spoke the words that were echoing in Cecelia's mind for ages, "You're a monster!"

"That was uncalled for, I do have feelings." Cecelia couldn't hold back her disgust, she had feelings just as the thousands of souls within her had feelings. "Apart from a few things, I was made nearly identical to you. I am human."

"Bullshit!" Cecelia cried, her finger shaking on the trigger.

Roy spoke for her. "I've got a funny feeling the only reason you're telling us this, is cause you don't plan on letting us live."

"Yup," the woman brought her long needle fingers into the air. "It's such a shame."

She slashed Roy's hand and he dropped his gun, but he swiftly put on his glove. Unfortunately, he was too slow. The homunculus slashed into a water pipe and soaked the trio. The best alchemist there was now useless. He really needed waterproof gloves. Roy and Jean turned around Cecelia followed their lead, running right out the door. Roy grabbed her wrist and pushed her beside him against the wall.

"What are we going to do? She'll shred us with her freaky fingers!" Jean panicked, but his commanding officer was calm

"No, she made a big mistake," he grinned. "She flooded the room with water. A simple transmutation and we've got hydrogen gas." Cecelia nodded and clapped her hands as Jean got out his lighter. Right when she transmuted the water, Jean sparked his lighter and-

        BOOM

The room, along with the homunculus went up in flames. The explosion shook the entire lab.

Jean picked up his eviscerated lighter and groaned. "Crap this was a gift from one of my ex-girlfriends." He tried to light his cigarette with the destroyed lighter, but no flame formed. "Hey Colonel, mind giving me a light here?"

Both Cecelia and Roy growled, not only was this not the time but-

        "Right, you're all wet."

"Yeah! Well, those things will kill you, you know that?!" Roy defended. Cecelia had to wonder how Jean kept his cigarettes dry. Roy composed himself. "She's dust, I definitely cremated her."

"How do you know for sure sir?" Jean asked over his shoulder.

"The stench," he explained simply. "I'm pretty familiar with that stink by now."

"You mean from that time you spent in Ishval?"

"Still be careful," Cecelia warned, she had seen first hand how well these creatures regenerated. "She could still be able to fix herself with that stone."

"Yeah, so stay alert," Roy agreed.

"Yes sir," was all Jean could get out before two spikes protruded from the ground and through his body. Jean let out a sickening cry.

"Jean!" Cecelia cried, taking a step to help him. Two more spikes came up just in front of her, she leaned back and the spikes barely missed her eyes but she fell to the ground. Right when she landed another spike went right through her calf and two more pierced her sides.

"Havoc! Cecelia!" Roy cried. The homunculus regenerated as Roy begged Jean and Cecelia to stay alive. The homunculus spoke to Roy but Cecelia couldn't hear over her pounding heart. Unable to think, unable to move. She needed to calm down if she wanted to survive. Roy held a philosopher stone over her eyes. "Cecelia, you need to help me to save Havoc!"

She could only give a gurgled response while shaking her head before the woman's body formed around Roy's hand. Cecelia could only watch as Roy was stabbed through his side. Think, think, think! No calm down, breath, you need to keep breathing. Slowly her cognitive thought returned to her. Weakly she clapped her hands and performed alchemy on herself. Her limited medical experience was enough to close her most prominent injuries. She heaved and gasped as the skin forced itself over other cells. It was incredibly dangerous for one to perform alchemy on oneself when they had limited experience.

By the time she was finished, Roy sat up. He had a major burn on his side.

"What- what the hell, Roy," she barely whispered.

"I'm going after her," he strained his way to his feet. "You need to save Havoc."

Cecelia looked over and saw that Jean was still lying face down. Urgently she forced herself over to him. "Be careful," she begged him as he stumbled out the door, "Please, I can't-"

Roy paused for a single moment, "I'll be back before you know it."

Cecelia couldn't do much for Jean. She didn't know the extent of his injuries, nor did she even know how to fix something as severe as what she was seeing. Closing the wound was her first priority, Jean couldn't bleed out. He had lost so much blood. Once his wounds were closed she debated what to do for a moment. He had lost so much blood. Too much. She could still think straight so maybe around twenty percent of her blood was lost, but he probably lost half of his. She was O-. Could she? She had never done a blood transplant before, but it had to be just like returning her blood to her own hand right? Right?

She had to try it. Carefully she made an incision on her vein and then did the same to him. He wasn't internally bleeding anymore, she fixed that. She slowly led the blood into his vein. She counted as her blood loss went from twenty to thirty. She had to stop now, any more and she'd die.

Just in time too, medics came rushing in to see her hunched over Havoc, crying. The next thing she remembered was being placed on a gurney.
