The next day, Kara wakes up as has been usual over the last week, and only feels a small amount of anger for Lena once more. As usual, Kara just thinks she has cooled off from being extremely angry at the brunette from the day prior, while she was just letting her rage bubble up at work. Kara still has absolutely no idea that her rage/anger is being massively exasperated by James drugging her. All Kara believes is that she still just doesn't have a handle on her emotions, and she is still very annoyed at Lena. She just hopes that as time passes, her rage will decrease, as living like this, even in the middle of when she thinks it's justified, just isn't nice. Kara doesn't think she is an angry person, or full or repressed rage or anything. Of course Kara has been through so much in her life that it would be understandable if that were the case. Kara could just have a bunch of repressed rage from being the sole survivor of anyone who had lived on Krypton before the planet exploded, with Clark not really counting, as he was only just born before everything happened. Then Kara could also be carrying anger from the fact that not only did her planet explode, but her parents sent her away placing such a heavy burden on her shoulders to care for her baby cousin, even though she was only 13. Then Kara could also have repressed anger because for a while when she got to Earth, she just thought she had failed the one thing her parents had asked of her. For a long time Kara blamed herself for being trapped in the Phantom Zone for 24 years, and not being able to raise Kal-El. It was actually Eliza who finally got her to realise that it wasn't her fault. Kara believed that maybe if she hadn't spent as long a time saying goodbye to her parents, her pod would have left Krypton right alongside Kal's. But Eliza told her that she couldn't have known that, and even if she had known, she should have still spent those final moments with her parents, as otherwise if she didn't even get to say a quick goodbye, it would have just eaten her up inside for the rest of her life. But even though Kara is aware that she could be a person that has a lot of repressed anger and rage because of all those events that have transpired, as well as others, she doesn't feel that is the case. Kara believes that she has a very positive outlook on life, and through the years she has been able to deal with all her issues with the loving support of Eliza and Alex. Kara knows that having Alex and Eliza to support her, and talk with, no matter how insignificant she may have thought the issue may be, was better than any therapy. It may have taken Alex a while to warm up to Kara, but once she did, she was, and still is, Kara's rock. So because of all that, Kara really doesn't understand where her sudden rage and anger, which seems uncontrollable, has come from. All Kara can really put it down to is that she hasn't ever experience romantic love before, only with Lena, and this may just be the feelings that come as a result of the pain caused by it.
After Kara wakes, she does her usual morning routine of getting herself ready and then Alura, and then walking Alura to school before heading off to CatCo. Alura is still upset over everything, and Kara knows that is a reasonable response, as Alura obviously became very attached to Lena, so not seeing her again is really hurting the girl. There are times when Kara considers that maybe she could just let Alura see Lena again, on her own, on brief small visits without her being present. But whenever Kara has those thoughts after she drops Alura off at school, they soon die down as the anger towards Lena builds inside her throughout the day.
Today, as usual, Kara arrives at CatCo and gets on with her day, just trying to focus her mind on her work for now. Kara has found recently that she feels the most at peace at the beginning of the work day, as it is when her mind is the most focused, and she is not as angry. Kara thinks this might be because on most days she gets to CatCo, then about an hour in is called away on some Supergirl activity, which ultimately may just trigger everything for Kara. After all, even though Kara has not seen Lena since the day she tried to come to her apartment, she is still wearing the Supergirl suit that Lena made for her, so it acts as a reminder every day. Then even on mornings when Kara isn't called away on a Supergirl activity, Kara has found that as the day progresses, she just gets worse. Kara just thinks this is because, while she may not have to go and do a Supergirl activity, the stress of expecting it may act just as much as a trigger as the Supergirl activity itself.

This Tuesday morning Sam has just woken, having spent the previous day and night with Lena. The two women just talked long into the night, with Sam doing most of the listening, just letting Lena get everything out of her system. Sam realises that the emotional toll of it all really must have weighed on Lena so much, and just completely exhausted her, as it is currently 10:30AM and Lena is still asleep. Sam is aware this is shocking because she very much knows her friend is an early riser, and not just by setting her alarm early, but just by waking up early automatically as part of her body clock.
Yesterday, after Lena explained everything to Sam, in as much detail as she could, or at least could remember, the two just talked through everything, with Sam just being there for Lena. Sam made it clear to Lena, that while she did make a mistake in regards to her response to Alura referring to her as 'momma', and Kara's anger with her was justified, the extent to which Kara's anger went was not. Even though Sam spent the previous afternoon and night telling that to Lena, she knows that Lena will never agree with it, at least not out loud. Sam knows that it may eventually just be some thought that crosses the back of Lena's mind, that she just thinks about in the background, and that might be as good as Sam can really do. Other than that, Sam just spent the remainder of the evening being there for Lena, just giving her someone who was willing to offer her unconditional comfort, a shoulder to cry on, and just a presence to be around.
As Sam waits for Lena to wake up, she calls Alex to see how she and Ruby were getting on, and by the sounds of it, Ruby is having a blast. Ruby is so excited to tell Sam that she met Supergirl, and even got a photo with her, with Ruby being overjoyed that Supergirl knew her name. Then Ruby also explains how she is having the best time with Alex, as Alex not only bought Ruby some pyjamas for the night, but some new clothes as well for the next few days, which she let Ruby choose for herself. Then after that Ruby explains how she and Alex spent the rest of their day in the park, and then went back to Alex's apartment to watch scary movies, while eating junk food. Sam does breathe a sigh of relief however when Alex informs her that Ruby fell asleep within the first 2 minutes of The Shinning.
"Well, it sounds like you both had a great time yesterday." Sam smiles into the phone.
"Yeah! Alex is the best, mom!" Ruby says, happily.
"How much did Alex pay you to say that?" Sam teases.
"20 bucks." Alex replies.
The three ladies then break out into a laugh.
"Alright you two. Alex, I'm going to come over and pick Ruby up soon, I'm just waiting for Lena to wake up. I hope you don't mind?" Sam asks, knowing she is asking a lot for Alex to continue to look after Ruby further into today.
"Not at all! I actually don't have work today, so you can take as long as you need. I don't really have anything else to do today. I was just gonna do some cleaning, go shopping and then pick Alura up from school later today, and bring her home to Kara's." Alex explains.
"Can I come? I wanna see Alura!" Ruby asks, happily.
"Uhhh..." Alex says, not knowing what to say as she doesn't know how long Sam is going to be.
"Alex, can you take me off speaker so I can talk to you in private?" Sam asks.
"Sure." Alex says.
"Alright Ruby, you be good with Alex. I'll see you later." Sam calls out before Alex takes her off speaker.
"Okay." Ruby replies, knowing her mom probably wants to talk about Lena and Kara stuff that she doesn't want her to overhear.
"Alright, you're off speaker. It's just me now." Alex says.
"Okay, are you sure you don't mind looking after Ruby for a bit longer?" Sam asks.
"No, seriously, I'm happy to have the company." Alex says, sounding happy.
"Okay, well, I talked to Lena yesterday and last night about everything. I was wondering if it would be okay if I could talk to Kara today?" Sam suggests.
"Uhhhh.... Sure.... I'll have to text Kara to ask her about it, but I'm sure she's probably willing to talk later today." Alex replies.
"Good, as I have Lena's perspective, and I'd like Kara's too." Sam says.
"Yeah... okay..." Alex says, still finding this situation a bit awkward, Sam however senses it.
"I know this must be difficult for you Alex. I understand that you are Kara's sister, and you are going to take her side no matter what, as you should. But I'm not here to just yell at Kara or criticise her because Lena's my best friend or anything. I just want an understanding of everything, so maybe I can help sort things out. And by that, I don't mean that I am going to be fix it maker and get them back together or anything like that. But at the very least, I hopefully can help just give them both some closure or something." Sam explains.
Alex is silent for a moment.
"Yeah.... I.... I understand..... I know you just briefly told me that things have been difficult for Lena.... but they have been really difficult for Kara too.... and Alura... Kara has just mostly been trying to put on a brave face and be a good mother in front of Alura. We haven't talked about it directly, but I don't think Kara wants Alura to see how hurt she is by everything, as she may think that will just hurt Alura even more. So, everything is a mess. But..... if you can help Kara and Alura, even a little, no matter what the outcome is, then I'm all for it." Alex replies.
"I'm glad to hear it." Sam grins, "I was hoping that maybe we could go on that date I promised you today, but it doesn't look like that will happen."
"Yeah.... we might have to take a rain check on that for a little bit. I mean... I guess we could go on one... but it might be a bit weird if there are three of us.." Alex says a bit awkwardly, not wanting to offend Sam by saying she wouldn't want to go on a date while Ruby is there.
Sam chuckles.
"I get it. Ruby would be a total third wheel. Although she has been pretty eager for us to go on another date, so I think she just might spend the whole date just urging us on to hold hands, hug or even kiss or something." Sam explains.
Alex chuckles.
"I wouldn't mind that, but I'd rather not have someone cracking the whip for us to do it." Alex replies, a smile can be heard from her voice.
Sam chuckles as well.
"Yeah, I agree." Sam replies.
There is another pause between the two women. Sam then hears the sound of movement upstairs, signalling that Lena has woken up.
"Okay. I think Lena is awake now, so I have to go." Sam says.
"Alright. I'll text Kara right now. But I was thinking, if Kara agrees you could just meet Ruby and I at Kara's at around 5ish and you can talk to Kara then? That way I can at least please Ruby, and Alura, by bringing Ruby to Alura's school when I pick her up today." Alex suggests.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I think then after that Ruby and I will just stay at Lena's for a few days, until our house is furnished." Sam replies.
"Oh... I would offer you to stay with me, but I only have one bed. Ruby insisted that we share last night, even though I offered to sleep on the couch, but I don't think the three of us would fit into one bed." Alex says.
Sam laughs.
"No, it's fine Alex. Plus, I think it might be good for Lena to just have some company for the next few days." Sam says.
"Alright. Well, I'll text you and let you know what Kara says, then I'll speak to you later." Alex says.
"Okay, bye Alex." Sam says.
"Bye Sam." Alex replies and then ends the phone call.
As soon as Alex ends the phone call she turns to the side and sees a very eager Ruby looking happily at her. It is pretty obvious to Alex that even though the girl probably shouldn't have tried to listen to the call, she did.
Alex sighs.
"How much of that did you hear, huh?" Alex questions, with a smirk.
"Uhhhhh......" Ruby says, blushing.
Alex just shakes her head and laughs.
"Alright. Well, I guess you know that you're gonna stay with me for the rest of today, and then at 3PM you and I will go and pick Alura up from school, and then go over to Kara's where we will meet your mom." Alex says.
Ruby smiles happily.
"That sounds like a great idea!" Ruby says, eagerly.
"Good. Now, first things first, you need a shower." Alex says.
Ruby groans.
"I don't want too." Ruby moans.
"Come on, you stink." Alex says with a smirk.
"No, I do not!" Ruby replies.
"Yep, you absolutely reek." Alex teases with a big smile.
"I'm fine though." Ruby says, not wanting to shower still.
Alex then walks over to Ruby and quickly picks her up and begins carrying her to the bathroom. Ruby just yelps in surprise, trying to wriggle from Alex's grip, but it is no use. Alex just carries Ruby into the bathroom with a smile on her face, matching Ruby's.

Back at work, Kara's day has actually been going pretty well today. Kara hasn't had any Supergirl things she's had to attend to, nor has she had any stupid meetings, she has just been able to purely focus on writing her next article. The result of it all has just led to Kara being in a great mood overall, with no anger or rage building inside of her. What Kara obviously doesn't know however is that that the reason she has really been in a good mood is because she hasn't left her desk since her coffee arrived, and this means that James has not been able to dose her today. However, this doesn't mean that James hasn't tried. James tried to get Kara to do some bullshit reporter piece, to do an interview, but Kara straight up refused, pointing to the article she is already working on, and just telling James that one of the other reporters with less work can do it. Then after that James just tried to get Snapper to call Kara in for a meeting, but Snapper was not playing ball at all. This has resulted in James just waiting for Kara to have a Supergirl thing, and so far that has not happened, and she has almost drunk all her coffee.
Just as Kara is about to head off to lunch, where she plans to meet Winn, she gets a text from Alex.
Alex (to Kara): Hey sis.
Alex: Sam would like to talk to you today. Are you up for it?
Kara reads the text a few times and she knows obviously that Sam will want to talk about everything that has happened with Lena. There is of course a part of Kara that wants to say no and just run away from it all, and just avoid all her problems. But then at the same time Kara does recognise that she has not been okay since everything went down with Lena, so maybe talking to Sam will help. Kara is aware that if she was in her usual rage state, that she has usually been in this time of day for the last week and a bit, she would have said flat out no, but today she feels better. Kara just knows that she should talk to Sam, even if it's not for herself, she should do it for Alura. That isn't to say she's doing it to work out a way for Alura to see Lena again, Kara is just willing to do it so she can process her emotions and then go back to being the happy mother Alura deserves.
Kara: Okay... what time?
Alex: I was thinking when you get home?
Alex: I suggested to Sam that she could just meet you at your place, and I'll just bring Ruby with me to pick Alura up from school and wait for you to get home from work.
Kara: Okay. That will work.
Alex: Are you sure?
Alex: You don't have to do this if you are not comfortable, you know that, right?
Kara: I know. But I think it might be a good thing, to talk things through with someone who isn't bias. Or at least not bias towards me.
Alex: Yeah... alright..... I'll see you then.
Kara: Okay, see ya! Xxx
Alex: xxx
Kara then puts her phone away and is just about to go off to lunch, but she then gets a Supergirl alert.
"Supergirl, we need your help. There is an alien terrorising people and throwing cars around the place on 9th street." J'onn says.
"Okay, I'm on my way." Kara nods, even though no one can see her.
As soon as Kara rushes away, James takes this as his opportunity to dose Kara's coffee with the red powder Lillian has provided him with. James comes out of his office and walks over to Kara's desk as usual, with the plastic bag and spoon concealed from anyone else's view. James then takes the lid off of Kara's coffee and that is when he finds, to his own horror, that Kara has already drunk all her coffee today. This results in James just quickly putting the coffee back down and going back into his office, completely flustered and annoyed.
James spends the next 30 minutes just trying to think of a way to give Kara the red powder today. James very much does not want Kara to miss a day of being affected by the substance, as his fear is that if Kara misses a day, then she may go running back to Lena, and then he could dose her the next day and people may realise that something is seriously wrong with Kara, if her moods just change so dramatically. Eventually James comes up with a great idea and calls the intern who usually hands out the coffees into his office.
"Yes Mr Olsen?" The intern asks.
"I was thinking, as everyone has been doing such a great job recently, why don't you go around and ask if anyone would like another coffee or tea, paid for by CatCo. Then I'd say you can go get them and bring them back here for around 2PM?" James says.
"Of course, Mr Olsen, that sounds like a nice idea. I'll get right on that." The intern nods.
"Kara will have her usual by the way." James says, knowing Kara will be happy with a free coffee, or any free food or drink really.
"Okay." The intern nods and leaves.

Over the next hour and a bit James just waits anxiously for 2PM to arrive and for the intern to come back with the coffees. While James has been waiting, Kara has not yet returned from her lunch break/obvious Supergirl duties. This makes James a bit flustered, as usually he is able to dose Kara's coffee as soon as she leaves for a meeting or to do something Supergirl related, so he knows that Kara won't be returning to her desk anytime soon.
Eventually 2PM arrives and the intern hands out all the coffees to people, placing Kara's on her desk. James then quickly acts and gets up from his desk, grabbing the spoon and plastic bag of powder once more. Then as has become routine James leans over Kara's desk, pretending to be looking at something, while actually opening up the lid of Kara's coffee. James then opens the small plastic bag and, in his rush, to try and be quick, instead of putting the spoon in and scooping out a spoonful of the powder, James just tilts the bag up at a right angle and then uses the spoon to try and scoop and spoonful in.
"Mr Olsen, I finished." The intern says, startling James, causing him to jump and pour at least 4 spoonful's worth of the powder into the coffee cup, causing some of the coffee to spill on the desk.
James then quickly turns around, hiding his hands behind his back, still blocking the view of the desk from the intern.
"Right... yes... good... job." James says, awkwardly.
"Of course, Mr Olsen, I am happy to work here." The intern smiles.
"Okay.... you can get back to your regular work now." James says, gaining some of his composure.
"Sure thing." The intern smiles and leaves.
James then takes a moment to make sure the intern walks away a far enough distance before he turns back around to look at Kara's desk and panic.
"Shit... shit.." James mutters in panic.
James does think about just chucking the coffee away seeing as it has four doses in it, but that would mean that Kara misses a dose today, and that could mean she ends up with Lena. Ultimately James just wipes up the spilt coffee with his sleeve and puts the lid back on, deciding that the risk of Lena being in Kara and Alura's life is far greater than any risk these extra spoonfuls could do to Kara. Once James has done this he then quickly walks back into his office, putting the spoon and plastic bag away, and sitting back down, trying to act normal, and get control of his heartbeat.
About 15 minutes later Kara walks back into the office. Luckily for James the coffee intern actually stops Kara and informs her that he got her another coffee and put it on her desk. Kara just smiles at the intern and thanks him. James then watches as Kara sits back down, takes the coffee onto her lap, uses her heat vision to heat it up, and then drinks it. A wide smile appears across James' face.

Alex and Ruby have spent a nice day together thus far now. After Alex forced Ruby to have her shower, the two spent some time watching stuff on TV in Alex's apartment, before then going out for lunch. Alex took Ruby to a fast-food place of the 12-year-olds choice. Alex is aware that she probably should have got Ruby to eat something a bit healthier, but she kind of just wants to continue to get into Ruby's good graces, so being stricter on stuff like that can hopefully come later, if things go well with Sam.
Once Ruby and Alex finished eating their lunch, Ruby then helped Alex just do a few of the boring things Alex needed to get done, before the two then went to the park and spent an hour or so there, running about before they went off to pick Alura up from school.
Presently Alex and Ruby are standing outside Alura's classroom door, waiting for the bell to ring and all the kids to come out of the classroom. Alex and Ruby don't have to wait long, as Alex has the knack for always figuring out how to get to Alura's school within a few minutes of the final bell ringing.
The bell rings and then a few moments later Mrs Landingham opens the classroom door and helps guide the children out of the class, one by one, pointing to their parents and talking to a few of the adults as well. Alura is the 11th person out of her class. Mrs Landingham points out Alex to Alura and Alura smiles seeing her aunt. Alex does notice however that it isn't the same bright smile that she is used to seeing from Alura. Alex just knows that Alura is still hurt and upset from missing Lena, and it kills Alex inside. However, Alura then notices Ruby and that smile that has been missing from Alura's face appears once more.
"RUBY!!" Alura says, excitedly, going running towards the 12-year-old.
Ruby smiles widely, opening up her arms, allowing Alura to take her in for a hug.
"Hi." Ruby smiles, hugging Alura back.
"I can't believe you're here!" Alura says.
"Yeah... Mom and I moved earlier to...." Ruby begins, but is then interrupted by Alex poking Ruby and shaking her head, giving her the signal to not mention Lena. "Uhh.. we just decided to move here early, that is all."
Alex gives Ruby an approving nod.
"Good.... I missed you." Alura says, still hugging Ruby.
"I missed you too." Ruby smiles, giving Alura another squeeze into the hug.
The two girls continue to hug for a good minute, with Alura clearly not wanting to let go. Eventually Alex has to clear her throat to break them up.
"Alright... I think we should go. You can hug more later." Alex says.
The two girls part from the hug and then Alura smiles at Alex and quickly moves over to her, hugging her aunt around her legs.
"I missed you too, aunt Alex." Alura says, cutely.
"You saw me yesterday." Alex chuckles.
"I still missed you." Alura replies.
Alex just smiles down at Alura and strokes the back of her head, caringly. After a few moments Alura pulls away from the hug with a smile.
"Okay, let's go." Alex smiles.
Alura nods her head and the three ladies begin walking, with the two young girls in front of Alex. Alex's heart strings are then pulled at when she witnesses Alura grab hold of Ruby's hand, with Ruby opening up her palm and threading their fingers together, then walking hand in hand with the five-yeard-old. Even Alex can't take the cuteness of it all, with a big smile appearing on her face. It gives Alex some hope that Alura is slowly getting better, and Ruby's presence here is helping with that.

Alex, Alura and Ruby arrive at Kara's apartment just after 3PM, and as soon as they step inside, Alura eagerly requests for Ruby to come join her in her room so they can play together. As the two girls go off, Alex pulls out her phone to text Sam.
Sam for her part has spent most of the day just by Lena's side. Lena has been doing a lot better than the day before, but she is still a shell of the woman Sam knows. Although the positive is that Lena has said that she will get back to work tomorrow. Usually Sam would argue that Lena shouldn't worry about work, as she usually overworks herself to try and stop herself thinking of or feeling anything. But on this occasion Sam takes Lena going to work as a positive step, as after all, last week Lena really went into a tail spin when she abandoned her work completely.
Currently Sam is sitting on Lena's bed with her, with the two women just resting their bodies against each other, watching TV. Sam knows that Lena is using her presence as a sort of comfort. The two women have moved up to Lena's room to watch some TV because the couch is obviously in a real mess, with it still smelling, and certain areas still being stained. Neither of the women wanted to sit there for too long, so they both agreed they would just sit on Lena's bed and watch TV.
As the two continue to watch TV, Sam's phone buzzes, with her getting a text from Alex.
Alex (to Sam): Ruby and I picked Alura up, and we are at Kara's now.
Alex: You can come over whenever you like.
Sam (to Alex): Okay, I'll be over soon. Can you text me the address?
Alex then replies by texting Sam Kara's address.
Sam puts her phone away and looks over and sees Lena staring at her.
"Is everything okay?" Lena asks, a bit timidly.
Sam feels really bad for Lena, and she doesn't like that she is going to have to leave her for a bit. But Sam does know that sooner or later she will have to leave Lena on her own, and then also the sooner she speaks to Kara and gets an idea of everything, the sooner she can try and give Lena some closure.
"Uhhh yeah..... I'm gonna go and pick Ruby up..... I'll then bring her back here.... if that's okay..... cause our house still isn't furnished..." Sam says, awkwardly.
"Oh uhhh.... She's with Alex?" Lena asks, nervously.
"Yes." Sam nods.
"Can I.... can I come with you?" Lena asks and then pauses, "I can just.... stay in the car while you go up to Alex's apartment to get Ruby...."
Now Sam does feel even worse. There is a reason that Sam has purposely been avoiding telling Lena that she is going to see Kara, and pick Ruby up from Kara's.
"Ruby's not at Alex's." Sam says, hoping maybe Lena just drops it.
"Oh... then where is she?" Lena asks.
Sam doesn't reply for a moment, once more hoping Lena gets her answer from the silence.
"Sam?" Lena asks.
Sam sighs.
"She's at Kara's." Sam says.
Lena gets a sad look come across her face upon hearing Kara's name.
"I asked Alex if I could talk to Kara, and Alex suggested that I met her and Kara at Kara's apartment, after Alex picked Alura up from school with Ruby." Sam explains, thinking she might as well be completely honest with Lena now.
"Oh.." Lena says in a sad tone.
"Lena... I promise I won't be long... then Ruby and I will come right back here... and we can all have a movie night together in your room... Then tomorrow you can go to work while I have that disgusting couch replaced, and then Ruby and I will meet up with you for lunch or something." Sam says, trying to lighten the mood.
"I okay.." Lena replies, still solemnly.
Sam sighs and just takes Lena in for a tight hug, kissing her on the top of her head.
"I promise I won't be long." Sam says.
Lena just nods, not replying with words.
Sam then stays with Lena for another hour before finally leaving Lena's apartment, once more with promises that she will be back soon. As soon as Sam does leave however, tears flow down Lena's cheeks again. It hurts Lena's heart that Sam gets to see Kara and Alura and she doesn't.

It is now close to 5PM and Kara is making her way home, and she is pissed. Kara's day really took a turn for the worse as soon as she got back from her Supergirl duties/lunch break. Kara just spent the rest of her day trying to focus on writing her next article, but all she could think of is Lena, and just how incredibly mad she is at her, and just how evil Lena is. Kara even got so mad at one point that she completely destroyed her phone with her strength when she thought about how Lena hurt her daughter.
Kara is currently walking home, instead of flying, because honestly, she just hopes the walk will cool her rage off, as it has never been this bad before. Then at the same time Kara is just trying to get herself together, to prepare herself for her talk with Sam about Lena. The fact is, earlier Kara may not have been eager to talk to Sam when Alex suggested it, but she understood that it could be beneficial. Now however, Kara's just thinks it is the worst idea ever. Kara just thinks how Sam is going to spend her time trying to defend Lena's actions and make her friend out not be to be an evil Luthor like Kara knows she is. In fact, Kara is sure that Lena must have been playing her all this time. In Kara's rage addled mind there is no way that Lena isn't like her family, isn't like Lex and Lillian. Kara is sure that sooner or later she will have to stop Lena as Supergirl, and save her from murdering people. Kara just assumes Lena's plan all along was to use her daughter as a way to distract Kara for when she did eventually enact her evil plan.
Sam arrives at Kara's apartment, just before 5PM, with Alex opening the door to her with a big smile.
"Hi." Alex smiles.
"Hey yourself." Sam grins back.
Alex opens the door wider, inviting Sam into Kara's place.
"Where's Ruby?" Sam asks, as she steps inside.
"She and Alura have been playing in Alura's room since we got back." Alex explains.
"Oh, that's nice. I really hope you didn't mind looking after Ruby again today." Sam says, unsure.
"Of course not. I actually had a great time with Ruby. The highlight however was Alura's reaction when she spotted Ruby. It is the first time that I've seen her bright smile, since everything happened with Lena." Alex says.
"Oh.... I'm glad then." Sam says, with a sad smile.
"Yeah... and you should have seen how cute they both were together as we were walking back here." Alex says, "They both were walking in front of me, holding hands."
"Awww." Sam says, "I wish I could have seen that."
"Yeah." Alex smirks.
Sam then looks in the direction of the hallway, just to check to make sure that neither of the two children are approaching them. Once Sam is happy it is clear she turns to Alex with a grin.
"Well.... now that we are alone for a second..... how would you feel about a kiss?" Sam asks.
Alex doesn't reply with words, instead she quickly closes the distance to Sam and takes her in for a deep kiss, wrapping her arms around Sam's back. The two women continue to kiss for a few moments. The kiss isn't too deep or anything, no tongue is involved. However, that does not mean that the kiss isn't amazing, it is, for both women. Sam and Alex then part from their kiss with smiles on their faces, as they look into each other's eyes.
"Wow." Sam says, smiling.
"Yeah." Alex grins.
The two ladies just take a moment to look at each other, and just share this sort of intimate moment.
"As much as I'd like to.... continue this.... I should probably let Ruby know I'm here." Sam says.
"Yeah." Alex nods and then turns her head in the direction of the hallway. "Ruby!! Your mom is here!"
Sam and Alex only have to wait a few moments before they hear the sound of running coming from down the hallway, with Alura and Ruby both soon appearing.
"Mom!" Ruby says, smiling widely, running towards her mom.
"Hey Rubes." Sam smiles, taking her daughter in for a hug. "Did you have a good time with Alex?"
"Yes!!! I had soooo much fun!! Can Alex look after me whenever you need someone to?" Ruby replies.
Sam chuckles.
"We'll see." Sam grins.
Sam and Ruby then separate from their hug, and Sam then notices Alura standing close by, looking a bit timid. In response Sam crouches down to the ground, making herself Alura's height.
"Hey Alura." Sam smiles.
"Hi." Alura says, shyly.
Sam then opens up her arms and Alura then comes closer and slowly takes her in for a hug.
"How are you honey?" Sam asks.
"O..kay.." Alura replies in a tone that lets Sam know that she isn't entirely okay.
"Well... have you been having fun with Ruby?" Sam asks, trying to lighten the mood.
Alura then backs away from the hug.
"Yes. I'm glad Ruby is here." Alura replies, with a slight smile.
"That's good." Sam replies as she nods her head.

Kara arrives at her apartment about 10 minutes after 5PM, and her rage and anger has not subsided at all. Kara is literally on the edge of just completely exploding. There is a very dark part of Kara, inside of her, that wants to fly and find Lena and take her to a DEO black site, so she can't ever hurt anyone else. But there is another part of Kara, screaming for her not to do that, but that voice has been getting less and less loud as her anger has grown today.
Kara unlocks her apartment door and she then notices Alex, Sam, Ruby and Alura all sitting in her living room talking. The four ladies all turn their head in Kara's direction as soon as they hear the front door open.
"Mommy!" Alura says, happily, getting up from where she was sitting, and running over towards Kara.
Kara feels her first bit of happiness that she has experience since lunch as she picks Alura up and hugs her tight. But that happiness quickly subsides when she notices Sam and Alex having got up and approached her.
"Hello Kara." Sam says with a sort of forced smile.
"Sam." Kara nods, "Ruby."
"Hi." Ruby says.
Kara then places Alura down on the ground again.
"I hope you still don't mind Kara, but I was hoping we could talk now, just to get this over with?" Sam suggests in a caring tone.
The last thing Kara wants to do is talk to Sam about Lena. In fact, Kara just wants to yell at Sam that she has nothing to say about the evil Luthor who Sam cares for so much, but Alura's presence is the only thing holding Kara back.
"Okay." Kara nods.
"Right." Sam nods back.
"Maybe you two should go into Kara's bedroom for some privacy, while I keep Alura and Ruby entertained?" Alex suggests.
"Sure." Kara nods.
Without saying anything to Sam, Kara just begins walking away, in the direction of her bedroom and Sam quickly follows her.
A few moments later the two women enter Kara's room and Sam closes the door behind them, hoping to keep this as private as possible. The last thing Sam wants is for Alura to hear them talking about Lena.
Kara takes a deep breath, holding it in, just trying one last time to control her rage.
"Kara.... Lena has told me what happened..... and... I'd like for you to explain what happened from your point of view. I just want to get a better understanding of everything so hopefully I can help everyone just.......... move forward." Sam says in a light tone.
Kara turns around and lets out her breath, however it doesn't allow Kara to let go of her rage, it ignites it.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO SAY SAM!? YOU WANT ME TO EXPLAIN TO YOU HOW LENA BROKE ALURA'S HEART AND MADE HER CRY, JUST BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BE HER MOTHER!?" Kara screams, "OR DO YOU WANT ME TO TELL YOU HOW I THINK SHE IS THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD, AS ONLY A TRUE LUTHOR COULD DO SOMETHING AS EVIL AS THAT! THERE IS NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT SAM! LENA HURT ME, AND ALURA, SHE IS A MONSTER! A WOLF IN SHEEPS CLOTHING! SHE TRIED TO LULL ME IN ALL THIS TIME, PRETEND SHE IS GOOD AND NICE AND CARES ABOUT ME AND ALURA, BUT THAT ISN'T THE CASE! ALL ALONG IT HAS JUST BEEN ONE BIG PLAN! SHE IS JUST LIKE THE REST OF THEM! SHE DESERVES TO END UP IN A PRSION CELL, JUST LIKE HER BROTHER!"
Sam is literally scared by Kara's rage, causing her to take a step back. As Sam takes a step back however, she notices red lines appearing all around Kara's neck. Kara for her part though doesn't give Sam space, she just closes the space between them, scaring Sam even more. Thankfully for Sam, Alex comes running in, opening the door, having heard Kara scream at Sam.
"Kara don't you talk to....." Alex begins, preparing to yell at her sister for talking to Sam like that, but then Alex notices the red vein like lines on Kara's neck, which look very much like red Kryptonite.
Alex quickly steps in front of Sam while pulling out her phone, dialling J'onn's number.
"WHAT ALEX?!" Kara yells.
Alex ignores Kara, and thankfully J'onn answers.
"Yes, Alex?" J'onn says.
"Red protocol. We are at Kara's apartment." Alex says quickly.
The phone call then quickly ends. A few seconds later J'onn appears as his Green Martian form, having phased into Kara's bedroom, and then shoots Kara with a kryptonite tipped dart gun. Kara is stunned for a second before she soon gets uneasy on her feet and then collapses to the floor, falling unconscious. J'onn then turns to look at Alex and Sam.
"Are you both okay?" J'onn asks.
"Yes, we are both fine. You need to take her to the DEO and put her in a cell, now!" Alex says quickly.
"Right." J'onn nods, picking Kara up in his arms and then flying away with her.
As soon as J'onn is gone, Alex turns around to look at Sam who is clearly frightened.
"Sam? Are you okay?" Alex asks.
Sam is silent for a moment.
"What..... what was that? What..... what just happened?" Sam asks, confused.
"I will tell you, I promise. But for now, I need you to know that wasn't Kara. Kara has been infected with red Kryptonite." Alex says.
"Kryptonite? Kara... Kara's Supergirl?" Sam asks, shocked.
"Yes I..... I will talk to you about this later.... But I really need to go to the DEO now and help cure her.... I promise we will talk later." Alex says, very conflicted. Obviously a part of Alex wants to stay and make sure Sam is okay, and just reassure the scared women, but the other part of Alex knows she needs to go to the DEO to make sure her sister is okay, and to help cure her.
"I... okay..." Sam nods.
Alex then leaves Kara's bedroom, with Sam following behind her, heading into the living room area. As soon as they enter Alex notices Ruby holding Alura in her arms, her hands over Alura's ears.
"Guys... it's okay now...." Alex says, softly.
Ruby turns around to look at Alex and Sam.
"What.... what happened?" Ruby asks.
"Kara.... has been infected by something that makes her very very angry.... Supergirl just came to take her away and make sure she gets cured." Alex lies.
"I.... okay.." Ruby nods, clearly shaken from the shouting.
Alex steps forward and notices Alura has been crying. In response Alex picks Alura up in her arms.
"Alura, it's okay. I'm going to take you to the DEO to see your mommy, okay?" Alex says, softly.
Alura just cries into Alex's shoulder.
"Okay, we need to go now. I promise I'll talk to you about this later Sam." Alex says.
"Okay... go.... go help your sister." Sam says, regaining some of her composure.
Alex nods, not wanting to waste anymore time on goodbyes, and then quickly walks out of Kara's apartment, heading to the DEO.
