"WHAT!?!?!?!" Yells Katelyn as Ashter stands there, closing his eyes at the wave of anger as Travis is seen awkwardly eating a slice of cake.
"K-K-Katelyn... I can explain..." Travis says as Katelyn fumes with anger as she then yells,
"You can explain what!?! That you're coincidentally eating a slice of cake after we just got back from exercising!?!" Katelyn yells out loud as Ashter knows this is a lost cause... Whenever Katelyn gets mad she's MAD. Anyways, Travis follows Katelyn in pursuit to explain himself with all honesty, but Katelyn wasn't having any of it as the two follow her, but Katelyn ends up yelling,
"I'm staying in my room, DON'T BOTHER ME!" Katelyn yells as she slaps the door, making Travis twitch as Ashter sighs, reminding Ashter who's daughter this is almost immediately as Travis groans in frustration and guilt about the situation, before saying,
"I don't get it! It was just one piece! One. Piece!" Travis says as Ashter cocks up an eyebrow before Travis notices as Ashter then says,
"You mean two?" Ashter says, remembering that Garroth remembers talking about it.
"Well... I mean... You did break your diet rule..." Ashter says slowly as to not say anything more rash than whatever he's going to say, as Travis groans in this guilt he's feeling as Ashter can feel it just radiating from his mind. Travis then walks away as Ashter yells,
"Hey! Travis, where are you going?" Ashter says as he doesn't even respond besides just leaving the floor, leaving Ashter there as he breaths in, then out, as he heads to Katelyn's room, knocking on the door, as she yells,
"Go away, Ashter!" Katelyn yells as Ashter tries to talk, but it's always ended with another yell,
"I'm not in the mood!" Katelyn yells as Ashter sighs, before ultimately heading trying around to walk away, but heard a,
"Hey, Ash!" Says Aphmau as she hugs the man as Ashter was caught by surprise, saying,
"Oh, hey Aph, I thought you and-" Ashter says as Aaron is behind the two, answering Ashter's question,
"She... Wanted to ask you for a floatie" Aaron says as Aphmau nervously chuckles, looking up a bit to Ashter, before saying,
"Can't you create a floatie for me...?" Aphmau says as Ashter sighs, knowing he can't create solid objects with Magic, as he says,
"I can't create any solid objects with my Magic since it's a difficult process for me to perform," Ashter says as Aphmau groans in sarcastic pain and frustration, yelling,
"But then I wouldn't be able to swim!!!" Aphmau whines as Ashter and Aaron both stare at one another... A bit ticked off Aphmau forgot she started to learn how to swim with the two a while ago. But then Ashter notices his stressed facial expression, before asking,
"Hey... Ash, is everything alright...? You looked stressed..." Aphmau says as Ashter looks away to the door, signaling Aphmau to say something, but Aaron stops her, saying,
"This is normal for a relationship, Aph... Just give them some space." Aaron says as Ashter quickly and immediately says,
"T-Travis didn't go along with his diet-! Y-Yeah... That... Hahaha...!" Ashter says to the surprise of Aphmau and Aaron as Ashter weakly laughs, but soon walks down to the living room, very unsure of what to do... But that soon was pushed aside when his gaze tightened when Gene was standing there, as Asher froze in place, hearing muffled screams and punches and... A silent scream. Ashter glares at who he knows is Gene and despite being in a small picnic with Sylvana, Aphmau, Aaron, Nicole, Katelyn, Eric, and Gene... Ashter NEVER got along or even talked while Gene was around, only glaring daggers and gaining scared faces just by him looking at Ashter... Ashter couldn't help by getting even more scared just by Gene's eyes alone... He felt... Scared. Afraid. And despite Gene telling Ashter, he's changed, even Asher couldn't feel any emotion radiating from him... Ashter could only see... Him next to him.
"HAHAHAHAHA!!!" Laughs a Werewolf around Ashter's age as the one who laughs picks Ashter up by his now longer hair, as he stares at it, grinning menacingly...
"You know... I ALWAYS hated that hair of yours... Lake... Why not I just..." Says the Werewolf as they wield a pocketknife as Ashter's eyes could only flicker from red and silver, but becomes exhausted as he couldn't even yell, but only listen, but as soon as he heard the blade, he panics.
"L-Let go of me-!" Ashter says as the Werewolf yell,
"CUT IT FOR YOU!" Yells the Werewolf as the blade cuts through Ashter's hair, cutting it back to the bottom of his neck as Ashter is thrown to the ground... Injured... Terrified. He promised to never cut his hair earlier and... This Werewolf did it while he was down...
"Y-You... You..." Ashter says as the Werewolf grins at Ashter, as his eyes flood back to their red color as Ashter's facial expression twists into anger itself, his eyes fuming with rage from before and emotions beyond itself... As slits form in his two eyes... His tail and the tips of his ears flood with red as Ashter yells,
"EIN!" Ashter yells as the Werewolf backs off, instantly terrified at the eyes... He has only seen them in one other person... But he didn't realize...
That Ashter had them.
Ashter snaps out of his state as Aphmau comes in, shaking Ashter,
"Ashter! Ash! C'mon, snap out of it!" Aphmau says as Ashter immediately shakes his head as it turns to Aphmau... (Also Spoilers so if you don't want that skip to the next paragraph) (As you can see. Due to Aphmau not being the Alpha, she wasn't targeted much by a Werewolf known as Ein. And since Ashter was the Alpha... The second series of Phoenix Drop High will be focused on Ashter breaking through his Junior year as Alpha along with many other challenges. Aphmau just doesn't know the pain he's going through and it'll be explored sooner or later.)
Ashter immediately calms down as he supports his forehead with his hand, nervously saying,
"S-Sorry... I just... Got hit by a yacht..." Ashter says as Aphmau didn't understand... But Aaron can piece only a few things together but even he doesn't get the bigger picture.
"Oh, Aphmau, Aaron... And Ashter." Gene says as Aphmau looks at Gene, before saying with a bold voice,
"Gene." Aphmau says as Aaron couldn't help but feel an intense air around Ashter just by even hearing the words "Gene".
"Aph... I think we should take Ashter with us." Aaron suggests much to Aphmau surprise, nodding.
"Yeah... I think we should, hey Ash?" Aphmau says as Dante cuts her off, saying,
"Wait! Take Ashter I where!?! But he hasn't seen Gene since High School, he has to catch up!" Dante says as Ashter's mouth turns into him gritting his teeth, being stopping, his mouth turning to normal.
"It's fine, Aph... Really." Ashter says as Gene nervously chuckles, before saying,
"Sorry little bro, but I think Ashter has the right to not be able to see me," Gene says in an understanding voice, surprising Aaron, Aphmau, and Dante. Ashter just glares daggers into Gene, saying,
"I still don't trust you. Believe it." Ashter can only say as soon, the three were at the beach as Ashter sits down with Aaron as they both see Aphmau happily splashing water around as Aaron had to say something, as he then asks,
"Hey, Ashter?" Aaron asks politely as Asher turns to him, asking,
"Yeah...?" Ashter asks as Aaron looks down at the sand, kicking a bit, as he then breathes in and out, knowing some emotions will be exposed if Ashter answers his question.
"Ashter..." Aaron says, looking back at his friend, as he then asks,
"What happened in High School while I wasn't there?" Aaron says, as Ashter shrugs, not knowing what to say...
But it did take a bit of encouragement for Ashter to then... Tell some of the stories... That happened in Phoenix Drop.
"Well... I was the Alpha of the school... I was appreciated, accepted, and gave a name for myself... But that's when another Werewolf named Ein came in and... Started making friends with me and Aph." Ashter says as Aaron tilts his head, confused at the name, 'Ein'.
"Ein...? Who's... That...?" Aaron says as Ashter silently thinks about what to say... He's never had to tell anyone who he is... Besides Katelyn in High School but even she doesn't know Ashter as much as she does now... Even when she saw him many times, Ashter just went through a lot of physical changes he's almost unidentical to his High School self.
"I... Well... Ein... Ein was a nice guy, calm, polite, and humble... He gained a lot of popularity from the other Werewolves and even got close to Aph..." Ashter says as Aaron's eyes immediately widened before Ashter reassured him,
"Don't worry, Aaron... We were only friends." Ashter says as Aaron becomes reassured... Seems like Ashter was telling him the truth all along...
"But... Then I became closer to Ein as a friend... He knew where I walked, where I go, and... My Magic..." Ashter says as a swirl of fire twist around his finger, which confuses Aaron a lot,
"What does your Magic have to do with this... Ein guy?" Aaron asks as Ashter sees Potions... Blood... Tears... As he tears up himself a bit before wiping it away, before silently saying,
"Ein and Gene... Teamed against me..." Ashter says which makes Aaron growl under his breath, as he pieces together more pieces of this puzzle... It was nearly complete as suddenly, Aphmau calls out to Aaron, which the two look to see her swimming!
"Aaron! Look! Look! I did it!" Aphmau says as Aaron immediately smiled, getting up to say,
"Great job, babe! Now c'mon, let's go get you something to eat!" Aaron says as Aphmau's eyes grew stars in it as she immediately swims to shore, yelling,
"Okay! Coming!" Aphmau says as her feet were all sandy as Aaron blushes upon seeing her flipping her hair back as it was getting into her face, Ashter notices this as he nudges Aaron's leg, which snaps him out of his trance.
"Hey, Aaron. You there?" Ashter says, picking himself up, as Aaron immediately panicked, but got his composure back as he then says,
"O-Oh! Yeah, um..." Aaron says, getting an excuse to take the situation away from him,
"Hey, wanna get some lunch with me and Aph?" Aaron says as Ashter happily accepts this... Leaving off, to go get some grub...
