Matilda's POV
I dust the sand off my body as I glare at Tehilla. A calm impassive expression on her face as usual. Jace suddenly sends a lightning bolt which she dodges skillfully. I begin creating water daggers when I hear an ear piercing loud scream. And I don't know how but I knew that voice. And that's when it hit me, Asher!!!!!
I run as fast as I can following the sound to a fearful sight. Asher lay on the ground, her black hair scurried all around her and her eyes were closed. Drake knelt down beside her holding her hand, the red piece lying there. I run towards her and I check her pulse. It was steady but it was obvious she was not okay.
Jayden and Jace soon stood beside us, a look of worry on their faces. I looked at my friend as she lay there helpless. I turn towards Drake who hasn't lifted his head, or said a word.
"What happened?" I ask
"I am going to kill him" A voice says
I call it a voice because I am sure I have never heard that voice before. But I look up to see it's Drake but he was obviously not himself. He was very very angry and bitter, it was clear all over his face. His body was emanating power and his hair slowly started changing. His voice different.
"I will avenge you Princess" He says kissing Asher's hand
What!!!! My jaw drops. Asher had never mentioned this kind of connection with Drake. Like never. But my thoughts freeze as the ground begins to shake and Drake's hair turns completely green and so does his eyes. Oh no!!! Not again. Drake had reached his Ultra Level and he was hunting down one person, Max. He stood up and a piece of the Earth shoots out throwing him to the sky.
But it was weird how he could still control himself until he said those words to Asher. I remember what Ray said about Drake, he could make earthquakes that could rip a kingdom into two. This wasn't going to end well for Max, wherever he is or wherever he was hiding. Drake is going to find him and when he does, it's gonna be ugly.
"What the hell is going on?" Jayden yells
"Drake's Ultra Level Of Power" I say slowly
"What!!! But it has to be triggered by a very very strong emotion" Jayden says
"Apparently seeing Asher like that was enough emotional turmoil for him" Jace says
"But..." Jayden starts
"You should ask your friends what's going on between them, because normally this may cause anger but not up to that" Jace says
"Let's forget about that for now. We have an enraged Drake on the loose and an unconscious Asher" I say
"I can teleport Asher and the piece to the castle and meet up with you guys" Jace suggests
"Good idea...." I say before I get interrupted
"No. I don't trust you, I will take Asher and the piece back" Jayden says
"Jay!!" I say
"Not the time to argue Mat" He says
I roll my eyes at him, I have told him that nickname was lame but he still uses it. He disappears and we decide to wait for him. After a few minutes of silence filled with thoughts, Jayden appears.
"Ok she is safe and the piece is with them but trust me we have a lot of questions to answer when we get back" He says.
"Ok lets go" I say
There was a constant long crack in the the ground that we followed. You could see underneath the Earth, Ultra Levels can be very helpful but dangerous as well. We finally stopped to a drastic scene. Max was used as a punching bag, flinged and punched to different directions.
He was The Power God but at this point, I honestly couldn't see any power. Drake was angry, clashing rocks upon rocks on him, and I am not talking about medium sized rocks. Large rocks!!! I am definitely sure I can't carry any of those.
"Wow!!! Is that how I was?" Jayden asks
"Somehow. But you didn't direct all your anger to one person, because Layla shielded herself. Unfortunately, Max has no where to go" I say
"So what do we do?" Jace asks
"I don't know" I say defeated
"What do you mean you don't know? How did you stop me?" Jayden fires
"We used the opposite of your power to weaken you but there is no opposite to Drake's power. And Asher was here to help" I say
"Well we have to find a solution because the ground is splitting up. We don't need another kingdom hating us" Jayden says
"I have an idea" Jace says
"What?" I ask
"Our teachers once told us that when any of us have reached our Ultra Level, we should take a sedement seed." Jace says
"Why?" Jayden asks
"Because it weakens the individual and brings the person to a deep sleep" Jace says
"Of course. It can stop Drake but where do we get one from?" I ask
"What? We are already going with this. He can be lying and just trying to poison Drake" Jayden says
"Jayden you are too insecure. But okay I get your point, I will ask Ray right now. Stay here, I and Jace will go get it" I say
"No!!! I will go with you. I don't trust him" Jayden says
"Jayden we need someone here to protect the people from Drake in case things get out of hand, Please!!! And Jace is now part of our team, and remember trust is key" I say
"Fine but don't hesitate to teleport here if he tries anything funny" He says reluctantly
"I promise. Protect the people, inform them to stay in their homes and go around in case anyone is in any form of danger" I say
"Ai ai Captain" He says grinning
I roll my eyes and he does his fingers in a V manner. He points it at his eyes and at Jace's before running off. We teleport back to The Heavens Dome not wasting any time. I see Ray and Sasha with worried looks talking.
"Ray please we need your help" I say
"What happened? Why is Asher looking so weak? What happened!!!" He starts
"Ray please just answer this question. We don't have time, what is a sedement seed and where can we get it" I ask
"A sedement seed is a rare plant that causes temporary loss of power and weakening. It's effects only last for two hours and can be found in the Crystal Sea of The Water Kingdom. Why do you need this information? And again what happened?" Ray says
"Thank you so much. We have to go" I say hurriedly
"Wait Matilda talk to me. Jayden just dropped Asher and told us to take care of her and ran off. Now you? What the hell is going on?" Ray says
"I am sorry Ray. I will explain as soon as we get back" I say
I and Jace quickly teleport to The Water Kingdom. The beautiful nature of the place swirling all around me.
"You haven't said anything since. Is everything alright?" I say
"It's going to be hard to earn you guys trust huh" He says out of nowhere
"No. It's not like that" I say
"I know I have always been the bad guy but I am here to help. I don't have any ill intentions" He says helplessly
"I am sorry but we have to be vigilant. You were never our friend from the start" I say
He turns his head away and I didn't say anything until we found the sea. I use my powers to grab the blue shiny seed which was very little. I create a small bubble and turn to Jace.
"Now what do we do?" I ask
"We have to get Drake to swallow this" He says
"That is not going to be easy" I say
"I know but we have to" He says
We teleport back to The Wind Kingdom. The ground had started dividing into two. I could see Jayden running around trying to get everyone to safety. He notices our presence and run towards us.
"Do you have it?" He asks
"Yes but we have to get Drake to swallow it" I say
"Now that's gonna be a problem" He says
"But we have to" I say
"Give it to me" Jace says
"What?" I ask
"I can get him to swallow it, just hand it over" He repeats
"That's our only hope, there's no way we are giving it to you so....." Jayden starts
I shot him a glare and handed the seed to Jace. He uses his powers to fly upwards and began sending lightning bolt around Drake. Soon everywhere gets smoky and I can't see what's happening. Soon, we see Jace crashing down. He lands on the floor and wipes the blood trickling from his mouth.
"He swallowed it" He says
"What? How? Where is he?" I ask
"He's coming" He says
Soon I see Drake crashing down too and Jayden runs to catch him. I look at Jace as his hair was scattered, his muscles moving and a blank look on his face. What did he do? He was so fast. He looks at me and I nod at him.
"Thank you" I say
At least he had earned my trust.
Hey guys, I know some of you thought it will be Drake's POV but remember in your Ultra Level, you won't be aware of what you are doing. So he won't really have thoughts except for Kill Max!! Kill Max!!! So who thinks something is going on between Drake and Asher, for Drake to reach his Ultra Level because of her. For me, I think it's sweet.
