Though many crazy things occurred today, going home knowing that my mom would buy subway because she'd come home late was the best thing to look forward to. I opened the front door and went straight to the refrigerator to store the ice cream then went to sit on the couch. It felt like my energy was draining from my body as I sat down. I was on the verge of falling asleep when I heard a notification from my phone.

A couple minutes after I got another notification. I did get added to the group chat but even before entering, messages were already coming into my phone from random numbers. They were all texting me privately and Panda even apologized to me. The group chat was even more chaotic, there were tons of memes and gifs and they were arguing over if Panda was actually named 'panda' because he kinda looked like one.
Though most of them weren't active the chat was still blowing up like crazy. I even joined in on their discussion about Panda then we somehow ended up talking about which teacher was the best; of course we all agreed on Gojo. My life felt a bit complete now being able to have friends who actually liked talking to me.
I left my phone down for a while to wash my face because I was still feeling a little tired but didn't want to sleep yet because I was all too excited about eating subway, mostly because I was hungry. When I came back I got a message from another random number but this time I didn't know who it was.

I turnt off my phone and went upstairs to take a bath. Mom was taking longer than expected so I couldn't wait anymore. I wore my pajamas and went back downstairs once again. I rummaged through my backpack to find the photograph just to examine it once more. More people were gone and there were still x's on people's faces. I went on my phone to message Toge to ask him if he saw the same thing but stopped when I realized he hadn't read my last message.
Was I being too mean? Pffftt mean my ass he's worse when he's in the mood so he should suck up the truth. He did give me that ice cream though.
I don't know what he's thinking, one moment he's annoyed at me then the next he's literally so different-
I can't tell what's going on inside his mind ....
I was brought back to reality when I heard banging on the door.
"Y/n? Open up." She said impatiently.
"Coming!" I exclaimed as I rushed to the door to open it. She had her hands full with bags and indeed there was a subway one. I quickly took it from her along with other bags to assist her as she walked in. I placed them on the counter then hurried back to close the door.
"Why are you in a rush? Is everything okay?" -Mom
"Well you know...It's food so of course I'm hungry and yeah everything's fine." I lied. I was scared about getting attacked by a demon and now I was scared of going through closed doors. What if I ended up getting trapped into a dream and actually kill myself this time? I can't control when it happens or how to break free of it so it's all just confusing and worrying.
Both me and my mom sat down and peacefully ate the sandwiches as we chatted about random things and her work. She seemed really fond of her boss and said he treated her well which was nice but weird seeing how she only began to work there like 4 days ago. She spoke of him as if she knew him longer than a month.
I was getting even more tired now and couldn't help it. I had to leave my mom to go to bed so that I could ease my stress but then again sleeping could also lead to dreaming about the past. I was too tired to even think properly and just plunged onto my bed, taking in all the coolness as I slowly drift asleep.

"Good day miss Tohru" I saw a well dressed male peering over a window as he spoke to me. I was in one of the same rooms I was in the first time I had a dream like this. The man was looking at me from outside, standing near a garden filled with beautiful flowers and butterflies. I was sitting on the floor with what looked like a scroll in my hand. He's familiar with me? Who even is he....
"You must be wondering who I am" he said formally with a polite smile. I looked at him in awe as he continued to speak. He hadn't the look of superiority but looked like he had fought battles.
"My name is Haruki Inumaki and from today forth I'll be your protector." He gave me a smile and gestured for me to come forth.
Inumaki? The same as Toge Inumaki....? So this is one of Toge's ancestors??
I walked towards the circular window where the stranger rested. He removed his hands from behind his back and revealed a set of yellow roses. He handed it to me with a smile. I slightly backed away, still suspicious of the stranger's actions.
"How do I know you're not just some assassin? Why should I dare trust you?" I sternly looked at him and tracked his every move. He reached behind him but quickly stopped when he saw me draw my guard. I was surprised to see a thin layer of red smoke surrounding me. When I looked down there was a ring of fire encircling me.
Was this my doing? Is this how having power felt?
I saw a look of surprise on Haruki's face then my eyes dropped to his hands. He was holding a scroll with the ribbon of the Hinode's clan and crest stamped on the paper. He was telling the truth...
He handed me the scroll and indeed it was of the Hinode's seeking allowance to let me have a protector.
Why do I- I mean Tohru need a protector? And his name is INUMAKI....this is all just so coincidental.
What happened to the dreams where I'd be on edge, thinking of demons or getting closer to finding out the mysteries behind each of the past's backstories. Why is this different and calmer?

"Y/n!" I heard a loud voice calling my name. I fumbled up and realized it was morning already. It was my mom, she had been calling me. I was trying to get a grip of myself after I was awaken so suddenly. I look down and realized I was drenched in sweat. My head was aching and I felt dizzy. I tried to get up but fell back onto my bed as I lost balance. I grabbed onto my nightstand for support as I lifted myself up. I went straight to the bathroom and fell to the floor as I grabbed the bowl of the toilet. I vomited for about a whole minute before I was able to fully catch my breath. The stuff that came out of my mouth was dark and almost looked like the color of my wound. It looked and smelled awful which made me throw up more.
What the hell is this shit?!! The heck is going on with me?! Am I going to die..?
I felt my head getting heavier and heavier then my vision got cloudy before I fell to the cold floor, hitting my head.
