Overall personality:
Akira is very creative and imaginative. He thinks about what he wants, puts it down on paper, and then brings it to life. It is this skill that has helped to turn him into a successful singer, well a future successful singer- at least that's the hope. He's always been the type to pursue his dreams. Finally reaching his goal and becoming someone who could write songs for the world to hear and perform on stage makes him incredibly happy. He's still a new artist but he's slowly gathering more a of a following. He doesn't have the look of the everyday, popular mainstream singer, and that sometimes draws more people to him. On stage, he has a bold and confident presence. You'd think this was something that he'd been doing for years.
His off stage personality however, is very different. One would think that with his style and presence, he'd be very social, but he's surprisingly shy. This is mostly due to the influence of his manager who won't let anyone talk to him, and won't let him talk to anyone else. He rarely even let's Akira go out on his own. When he's out in public just being a normal person, he tends to keep to himself. Even though he isn't the easiest to get to know, he's kind and he'd give the people that he's closest to everything in the world if he could, making him someone who would probably have a lot of friends if he'd step out of his shell more.

Background story:
Akira doesn't remember much about his childhood since he lived in an orphanage for most of it, but he remembers the day that Selene adopted him. All the days had blended together until then. Selene wanted a family, but couldn't start one. She was unable to conceive, and she also just didn't want a partner, she wanted to open her arms to a child who didn't have a home. That child happened to be Akira. She adopted him at age 4, and it was an instant connection, and they both made each other's worlds a little brighter. As Akira came into his own, he discovered his love of music (it was always there, but he hadn't really gotten to nourish it when he was in the orphanage) Selene helped to bring it out of him, she noticed he liked to bang on the pots and pans and he'd hum whenever they were in the car, even if it was a quiet drive. He'd just make up enjoyable melodies. She along with her sisters (Akira's aunts) nurtured his love of music over the years, giving him what they could. He was very well loved. Akira's passion only grew the older he got, he wanted to make music his career, but he didn't know how likely that would be. Maybe it was meant to just stay a dream?
If so, he'd be able to make peace with that. Not everyone was lucky enough that they could make their dreams come true. After he graduated high school he picked up some work as a waiter at a restaurant. Far from his dream, but he needed to work. Little did he know, this job would be what led him down the path he wanted to be on. He would sing a little as he cleaned and waited tables, he never thought much of it since it just served to help pass the time, but it was what led to him being discovered. This was how he met his current manager, Mel. Mel offered to make his dream come true and of course Akira said yes.. but should he have said no instead? Akira learned very quickly that Mel wasn't the nice manager that he played himself up to be. (More on that in the rp~)

1. You and Akira have been friends for a long time- friends who have never met. You're pen pals. You first encountered each other in an online gaming group and connected right away. Oh, and you don't know his name is Akira, he told you it's Aurora. You've shared tons of messages over the years and play games together all the time, yet you have no idea what each other look like. Years of friendship, but somehow you feel like complete strangers- you can't shake the feeling that Aurora is hiding something. On top of all the mystery, there seems to be more ~special~ feelings growing between the two of you, though it hasn't been acknowledged.
It can't be ignored anymore, you want to meet him. And he's said before that he wished he could see you too, so why not? You boldly ask to meet up, and after a lot of hesitating, Aurora eventually says yes. You arrange to meet up at a Cafe since it's public and you can talk over some coffee. The day of the meeting, you excitedly approach the agreed upon meeting place. You enter the Cafe and in the spot you said you would meet Aurora, sits a man, he's hard to miss. Behind the man sits a shelf lined with magazines that have his face on the front cover.
