Lexi's P.O.V
The lights turned off and everyone started to panic and rushed to the door and left, but I hacked the system and restored the lights. When the lights came back on The only people left were my friends and family
"I see you are still a good hacker" someone said through the speakers.
I looked around the ballroom trying to find them and my eyes stopped on him
"Diego" I said and he smirked and walked over
I heard people growling behind me and saw all the mafia leaders glaring at him.
"Hello Princess, I see my fans are behind you" Diego said and I rolled my eyes
"You piece of shit" Daniel said (Colombian Mafia Leader)
"I see you guys are still mad about your wife's" Diego said unbothered
"Don't you dare. Speak about them" Axel said ( Chinese Mafia Leader)
"Why. They can't do anything they are dead" Diego said and smirked
"You better Shut up if you know what is good for you" Michael said (French Mafia Leader)
"Anyways. That is not why I'm here. I'm here to celebrate my daughters birthday" Diego said as he smiled at me
"She is not your daughter" Papá said to him
He just laughed at him
"She is my daughter. I have known her longer than you" Diego said
"You only know her longer because you KIDNAPPED HER" Papá said
"I see it as more of moving her into a better environment. I was there for all of her milestones" Diego said
"SHUT UP" Papá said turning red
"Diego. Stop talking...please" I said and he looked back at me and nodded
"Ok princess" Diego said as he smiled at me
I looked away...i know we are neutral, but I haven't forgotten what he did to me
"Diego. Why are you here" Carlos said as he came running and stood in front of me protecting me
"Wow. Both my children are here. How amazing and lucky am I" he said as he walked closer to us
Diego made us take a step back since we don't know what he is planning
"Why are you here" Carlos asked him again trying to calm himself. I looked from behind Carlos and saw Diego holding a box
"Well son, if you didn't know it's Lexi's birthday and I wanted to give her the present I got for her" Diego said as he handed me a big box
"I am not your son....don't call me that" Carlos said
"Ummm thanks for the present" I said calmly
Everyone is now surrounding us. Everyone is on the verge of taking out their gun and killing Diego
"Open it now...please" Diego said
I slowly unwrapped it and I gasped. I saw the most beautiful guitars ever.
One of the guitars was floral and the other one was space themed
I looked back up to him
"I didn't know if you still played, so I hope you enjoy it. I got it customized for you. I remembered how you really liked stars, so I got it painted with stars" Diego said as he nervously rubbed his neck
I don't know why but I got up and ran up to him.
Carlos tried to stop me, but I was too fast
"Thank you. I love it" I said as I hugged him and he hugged me back
"Of course princess. Anything for you" Diego said
Everyone was silently watching me hug Diego
I never told them what we talked about at the wedding...so they are all probably really confused
"Happy birthday Princess" Diego whispered to me
"Thank you....dad" I whispered back and he got all teary eyed
"No problem..princess" Diego said as he softly smiled at me
I let go of him and turn around seeing a furious Carlos and all the leaders turning red with anger
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!" Carlos screamed at me as he pulled me away from Diego
I grabbed on to Diego, so that Carlos couldn't pull me away
"Let go Carlos, you are hurting her" Diego said and Carlos sighed and obeyed
I turned around and sighed and began talking
"Guys....chill out. We are cool now" I said and everyone gasped
"WHAT. When did this happen?" Carlos said
"At the wedding. He was the one who walked me down the aisle and we talked about everything and settled our differences" I said and Carlos looked confused
"Differences? You mean the abuse he did to you...to us for years and the kidnapping" Carlos said
"Son. Lexi said that she forgave me for everything and we are now not enemies nor allies...we are neutral" Diego said and Carlos scoffed
"Yeah right" Carlos said and rolled his eyes
"Also, get one thing straight...You are not my dad. You are the person who made my childhood hell" Carlos said and Diego sighed
"I'm sorry So- I mean Carlos. I only did what I thought you guys needed to be successful and it worked y'all both are the some of the best assassins in the business" Diego said and Carlos sighed
"I know it will take time to forgive me, but I brought you and Lexi something" Diego said and I looked at him curiously
Diego went to get a microphone and cleared his throat
"Hello. I see the only people here are people involved in something mafia or assassin related,so you might know me. I am Diego Smirnov Ex-Mafia Russian Mafia Leader. As many of y'all know my son Adrian died, therefore I have no one to lead my mafia. I have decided to leave my mafia to Lexi and Carlos. I see them as my own and I know they will do good. They are both natural born leaders and I am happy to leave my mafia to them" Diego said and everyone gasped
Carlos and I looked at each other stunned. We knew we were getting the mafia, but we thought it was when Diego died.
"As Mafia Princess soon to be queen Lexi, you will have no say in the mafia until you turn 18 and Mafia King Carlos will lead the mafia alone until Lexi reaches 18. When this is over, y'all will need to go get the Russian mafia leader tattoo. This tattoo is only for leaders of the Russian mafia. The tattoo is a pair eagle wings. Since you both are leaders You will both get one wing..so when you are together it will be a full eagle" Diego said
"Also here are the necklaces I made for both of y'all. They are wings of an eagle. You both will be great leaders" Diego said as he handed us the necklaces
"Oh my god"
"Holy shit" Carlos and I said simultaneously
Papá and all the other Mafia Leaders look at us with their mouths open, but I know why Carlos is now in control of the 3rd most powerful mafia in the world
Carlos is now the youngest leader of any mafia at 18
"You good" I whispered to Carlos
"Yeah...you?" He whispered and I nodded
"Yeah. I'm ok" I said
"Also I would like to say to the Garcia's or as I know them the Mexican mafia that I am sorry for kidnapping Lexi from y'all. I would also like to say sorry to the..." Diego said but was stopped by Carlos
"STOP. don't say it, they don't know about me...please don't tell them" Carlos said to Diego
"Carlos.....son....sooner or later you will have to accept the fact that you have a family out their that misses you and still mourns you....I'm sorry Carlos, but I have to say this" Diego said
"YOU SON OF A BITCH" Carlos said and threw a knife at Diego, but he dodged it
"Carlos. Don't throw a knife with emotions or you will miss" Diego said as he picked up the knife Carlos threw and threw it back cutting Carlos arm slightly
"OW" Carlos said dramatically
"You are still dramatic. When will you learn to never let your guard down" Diego said
"Anyway back to what I was saying. I'm sorry to the Martinez family or as I know them the American mafia for kidnapping Carlos. I hope you will one day forgive me" Diego said and everyone gasped
As Diego said that Carlos was processing what just happened, he couldn't believe that Diego just outed him. He didn't want to Burden his family with all of his issues. He just stood completely still, trying to figure out how to deal with this.
"Carlos? You okay?" Lexi whispered to him, but he didn't reply
Faith ran over to Carlos and shook him trying to get him out of the state of shock
"You good?" Faith whispered and I nodded my head no
"Son?" The American mafia leader said to Carlos
"Carlos" His wife said to Carlos as tear were forming in her eyes
Carlos closed his eyes and took a deep breath
"Mom? Dad?" Carlos said and they gasped
They ran up to him and hugged him so tight as if he were to disappear
I looked at Carlos and tears were streaming from his face, he finally reunited with his family
I started crying and I looked over and saw faith crying too, I went up to her and hugged her as we silently cried together.
Since I have met Carlos, all he wanted was a family and even though he had faith and I he always wanted his blood family. Carlos was stubborn for so long that he didn't want to go back to them, because he thought they were going to be disappointed with how he turned out.
It finally happened Carlos officially met his mom and dad as their long lost son
