"Where are we going now love?" Kyjie asking and sitting innocently at the edge of my bed while sunlight flashing to his whitewash face.
"Hacienda, you will going to meet lola Imelda" I answered and now facing my full length mirror and I only wear a robe and towel that rolled up my wet hair. Kagagaling ko lang sa shower room habang nakabihis naman siya. "She's intimidating, and her eyes will surely pierce at you with his half-moon eyeglass so be nice!" Pagbabanta ko sa kanya and I looked at him through the mirror.
"I'm already nice!" He chuckled but then our eyes met through the mirror and a sudden intense sensation burning me up with his gaze.
"Bihis lang ako" I excuse myself casually at dumiretso na sa dressing room ko.
Pumasok kaagad ako sa walk-in-closet to pick up my attire for today. I was planning to wear a cottagecore inspired looks today since sa hacienda kami ngayon and I was planning to bring him to our cottage. I am now wearing a white corset dress with white laces that the long puff sleeve flow perfectly at my arms that ended inches below my wrist and with a skirt that ended inches above my knee. It's more like an off-shoulder corset dress with deep ruched neck, and to my hair I styled it with scarf na pina' headband style and to complete my cottagecore attire I wear my lace up ankle boots. I also applied a very light make up before going out
"Let's go love!" Pag-aaya ko sa kanya and before standing up, he scan me from head to toe and plastered a smile and that made my face heated!
He was wearing a white button down long sleeve polo that hugged his body perfectly that his well-toned body and muscle were visible, and he also paired it with caramel-colored pants and white sneakers. We're matchy with the theme color of our attire so I can't help but to smile.
"Halatang mahal na mahal mo ako" He utter and plastered a smirk.
"Don't turn the table, silly!" I immediately turn my back to him to fight the urge of being in love with him. God, what's with this guy?!
Sabay kaming bumaba at hinanda na ni ate Mira ang storage bag namin na naglalaman ng pagkain since we're planing a picnic sa mismong garden sa cottage namin. Kyjie also bring a bag for our essentials and extra dress para sa sleep-over namin sa cottage. We planned to do these things before preparing sa new years eve sa susunod na araw and I was planning to give him a tough job for that!
"Thank you po ate Mira and we'll get going now" He said casually as ate Mira put all our stuff sa loob ng isang camper van, it was vintage to look since kay lolo pa ito at mabuti nalang ginagamit nila paminsan-minsa para hindi mangalawang at masira.
"Oh siya, sige na at medyo mahaba-haba pa ang ba-byahein niyo" Agap naman kaagad ni ate Mira and we bid our goodbyes at tsaka ako pumasok sa shotgun seat ng camper van at sumunod naman siya sa driver seat.
"You look like a strict haciendera love" He said and stifle a laugh while driving slowly.
"And you look like a tourist sugar daddy" I fired back and rolled my eyes at tinuon ang tingin sa labas where we passes by a bunch of trees every corner of the road.
"At least, your sugar daddy" Aniya then show his pilyong ngiti na hate ko noon but I like staring now.
"Sorry mas bet ko mga province boys" I teasingly said and rose my left brows to annoy him.
"Then I'll be your province boy, okay?" I suddenly don't had the urged to answer him back when he suddenly put his hand into my legs and squeeze it.
Nakatulog ako the whole ride, nilagay ko lang sa waze ang address sa hacienda namin para alam niya kung saan ang daan. Nagising nalang ako when I felt the van stopped.
"We're here sleepyheads!" He said with excitement and then lean closer to me to kiss my forehead. What was that for?
He parked the camper van beneath the big tree na nasa harap ng gate ng hacienda namin. We didn't hesitate to bring the camper van inside kasi mas pinili naming maglakad para malibot ko na din siya sa lugar. We decided to do a horse riding and some activities na pwedeng gawin namin dito bago kami dumiretso sa cottage. Hindi naman kalayoan ang cottage dito at nasa loob lang din ng hacienda but our hacienda has 6,524 hectares kaya medyo malayo dito sa mansion ng hacienda.
"Perfect for unwinding" He utter and intertwined our hands together at parang na kuryente kaagad ako sa init ng palad niya.
"Yeah, I like being here before but things change when mom died" I smiled bitterly and remembering my moments here with mom before.
"Hindi ba't mama nang daddy mo si lola Imelda mo?" He ask innocently and glance at me.
"Yeah, at gustong-gusto ni lola si mommy kaya madalas kami dito noon" I release a large amount of air and at pinisl niya naman kaagad ang kamay ko.
"Aren't we going to meet lola Imelda?" He change the topic since he already notice my silent mourn inside me.
"Nag sesermon pa yung nang mga helpers dito, so let's go for horse riding to roam the place" I tug his hand together with mine para dalhin siya kung saan ang mga kabayo namin. When we reached the place, everyone is bowing their heads to me to show their respect.
"Diba magpinsan kayo ni Shaira, pumupunta ba siya dito?" Tanong niya habang papasok kami sa isang horse ranch.
"Yes, noong bata pa kami naglalaro kami dito pag nag babakasyon kami" I answered while my eyes looking for a good horse to ride.
"Heto ho, madam Hera ito po ang pwede niyong sakyan na kabayo" our conversation ended when the old man na isa sa nag-aalaga sa mga kabayo namin, ay biglang nagsalita.
"Thank you manong" I smiled at him bago hinawakan ang tali sa kabalo.
"You sure you won't fall riding that?" May pag-aalala sa tuno ng boses niya, so I face him and frown.
"Sayo lang naman ako nahulog, so why would I?" I casually said without midning my cheesiness.
"You're quite cheesy now, huh" He smirk at tinalikoran ko na siya para magpa-alalay sa pag-akyat ko sa kabayo and he did the same too.
We both now riding the horse, at first may humawak pa sa tali ng kabayo para alalayan kaming makalabas sa ranch and then kami na mismo ang humawak sa tali ng kabayo namin. Our horses were calm walking at halos magkasabay lang kami kaya paminsan-minsan ay tinitignan niya ako with a worrying face.
"I won't fall, mind your ride love!" Natatawang sabi ko and hold tightly at the rope.
"Don't be careless woman, baka mapaano ka pa" He sounded like a concern father now. So to show him that I can ride a horse perfectly, I drag the saddle up and shouted 'heyaah' and the horse run smoothly.
I left him behind dumbfounded, while I enjoy my horse riding where the air played my hair perfectly but my scarf stay still so it didn't fall. I reach the pavilion near our guest house. He's nowhere to be found so I laugh and tame my running horse. Napalinga-linga ako when I couldn't find him. I was about to take aback, when I suddenly saw him riding the horse while he manage to control the horse to run smoothly. Everything went slow, and I can only see him smiling while riding the horse. I was starstruck by the view now. He was ethereal.
"You enjoyed the view of mine, love?" I was back to my sense when he come closer to me with his horse.
"Don't full yourself" I reasoned out but he just laugh.
After that, nilibot na namin ang ang hacienda pero hindi buong hacienda since it's wide enough. Iniisa-isa namin ang mga magagandang parte dito, from the pavilion where we stopped earlier, then sa pool side at dinala ko din siya sa parte kung saan ang mga magsasaka, at ang pagawaan ng asukal dito until both of us felt tired and we decided to go to the mansion here where lola Imelda awaita for us.
"Love" He called me, and I immediately face him kakalabas lang namin sa ranch and now his arm were wide open and asking for a hug like a kid asking for a warm hug from his mother.
"Come here" I didn't hesitate to pull him closer to me and hug him tightly. "Love, bitaw na" I demanded when he didn't let go of me at kanina niya pa ako niyayakap.
"5 more minutes love" He beg, and after the 5 minutes agad ko siyang nilayoan and he just laugh and we made our ways to the mansion.
"Hi abuela" I greeted my lola casually as we entered the huge masion.
She then welcome us with her piercing look beneath her half-moon eyeglass. Napansin kong napailing si Kyjie so I held his hand and lola's eyes followed directly.
"M-magandang tanghali po" Nauutal na bati ni Kyjie so I can't help but to laugh.
"A young Fierro? You look like the young Carlos, your abuelito" Lola said with his casual serious voice that I used to afraid before.
"Madami nga pong nag sabi" Kyjie's baritone and monotone voice suddenly vanish and now he sound like a puppy with depression.
"Bueno, kumain muna kayo at alam kong napagod kami sa paglilibot" Ani lola sabay talikod saamin.
"Actually we're leaving now abuela. Hindi na kami magtatagal and we decided to stay at the cottage. We'll have a formal meeting together sa villa this coming new year" I step closer to her to kiss her at the cheeks.
Tumango lang si lola at hindi na nagsalita pa si Kyjie na halatang natatakot aa presensya ni lola. My abuela isn't a vocal person but she always care, kinakatakotan namin siya ni Shai noon because of her intimidating aura but the way she cared for us changed our impression to her.
"I'll drive" Agap ko when we reached the camper van kung saan namin pinarada.
"You sure?" He said with hesitation in his face
"Gosh, can't you just trust me? All this time you've been worrying about the things I'm doing" There's annoyance in my voice at agad ko namang napansin ang pagsisisi sa mukha niya. "Just give me the keys" Pagpuna ko kaagad ang massage the bridge of my nose, he then gave me keys at dumiretso na ako sa driver seat at sumunod naman siya sa shotgun seat.
"I'm sorry love" He said with his soft voice, tumango lang ako to fight the urge to open my mouth baka ano pa ang masabi ko.
I didn't talk when I'm at my high-temper because I spit out hurtful words and I can't take it back. Hinihinaty ko lang na mawala ang galit or inis ko bago magsalita ulit, mahirap makasakit ng damdamin ng tao.
Tahimik lang kami buong byahe, until we reach the cottage. It was at the top of the hill hindi masyadong mataas at ilang lakad lang namin sa tuktok ay nandoon na kami. It was a cottage that filled with flowers and plants, with it's wooden gate at may pumupuntang caretaker dito every morning to take care of the place. Sa loob ng cottage ay may dalawang kwarto, and the designs were modern and almost made of wood.
Nakasunod lang siya saaken sa likod while I opened the gate since I have the duplicate sa gate then dumiretso na ako sa mismong cottage, tahimik na nakasunod parin siya and I didn't hesitate to utter. Pagpasok namin sa loob there's a short hallway sa doorways then kumanan kami at bumangad ang living room with wooden lounges and there's a cushion with renaissance clothing, there's also a wooden center table with fake plants in the middle at sa kaliwa naman ang kitchen.
"Magpapalit lang ako" I break the awkward silence between us and didn't wait for his response at tumalikod na dumiretso ako sa isang kwarto na malapit lang sa living room.
The room was clean at halatang pinapalitan ang bedsheets and pillowcases every week. There's a bed that connected directly sa wooden with glass window na pag-gising mo bubungad talaga ang sinag ng araw. Nagpalit lang ako ng white button down dress that ended inches above my knee with puff short sleeve and deep chest line.
I was about to step outside when suddenly Kyjie surprise me sa mismong doorway ng kwarto. He was standing at nakayuko but when he felt me agad siya nag-angat ng tingin and without hesitant he hug me.
"I'm sorry love" He said with his soft voice and place his head on my shoulder and his hands into my waist. "Please, ayokong hindi mo pinapansin" He added.
"It's okay love, I'm sorry too I overacted" Yes, I also admitted my side may mali din ako. I hug him back and scoop his face to kiss him, that was a soft kiss para sa pag-aayos namin. And he also kiss my forehead.
After that pinasok na namin ang gamit namin sa loob and while nag palit din siya ay inasikaso ko na ang picnic namin sa garden. Naglapag muna ako ng carpet sa bermuda then I place the basket with german whole wheat bread, apple, tangerine, nutella and almond. We also brough a mini electric grill pan for the skillet spinach-artichoke. Saktong pag dating niya ay natapos ko na ang paggawa sa egg salad and vegetarian club sandwich.
"This is perfect" He utter with amusement smile and sat beside me. He is now wearing a simple plain shirt paired with royal blue short at medyo messy na ang buhok niya. I can smell his manly scent that travels to my nose.
"Before eating, we'll take a pictures first for remembrance" I said sabay lapag sa vegetarian club sandwich na ginawa ko.
He immediately get the tripod inside my tote bag at pinwesto sa hindi kalayoan sa harap namin at inabot ko sa kanya ang phone ko. Naka-set na ang timer when he sat back beside me. First shot was we lean closer to each other, then second was stolen that we eyed each other with wide smile on our faces, and the third shot was he laid at my lap while I was looking at him and then the last shot was were doing nose to nose with smile full of affections of love. Hindi pa siya nakontento and he took a lot of pictures of me some are stolen shots at hinayaan ko na lang siya.
"I can't imagine myself not meeting you" He suddenly utter whule grilling the bread for our skillet spinach-artichoke. "Kasi noong hindi pa kita nakilala, I locked myself in my own imprisonment at nilunod ang sarili ko sa lungkot at sakit na dulot sa break-up namin ni Ivy" He added and glanced at me.
"I can't imagine myself too, I didn't expect this na makukuha mo ako when our first encounter isn't that good" I chuckled as nostalgia hit me.
"I don't want this to end" I look at him and our eyes met. For some reason, my heart skip and keep beating for him.
Together we watched the beautiful serene of the calm sky while enjoying our picnic date. Who would thought we end up being like this when before I keep pulling out myself for him and used to hate him because of this engagement but at the end of the day, we shared love to each other.
It was already five pm when we decided to end our picnic date for today, we composed every thing naginamit namin at pumasok na sa cottage. We didn't cook for our dinner because we're still full sa mga kinain namin.

"I don't know... Hmm we'll see" He bent down to touch the dog, with a sudden surprise the dog didn't bite him so Kyjie brush his fur at mukhang nagustohan naman ng aso at humiga pa "Zeus" He utter as he read what's on the collar.
"So it's a boy" I slowly step closer to them and bent down to brush his fur and he likes it.
"And it's your husband" He chuckled so I hit him.
We played with Zeus for a meantime since we're having fun and Zeus is sweet and thoughtful dog. I always wanted to have a dog!
After that we decided to take a shower since we both uncomfortable na sa katawan namin at simula kaninang umaga pa kaming maraming activities na ginawa. Sa kabilang kwarto na shower room siya naligo at sa mismong kwarto namin naman ako naligo. It took me 30 minutes in the bathtub and I want to refresh myself. After a long shower I am now drying my body with my towel and wear my bathrobe with chanel logo sa likod and I just let my wet hair fall behind me.
Pagkalabas ko sa shower room ay agad bumungad si Kyjie na nakaupo sa dulo ng kama, he's wearing a sweatpant and his topless were his well-toned body perfectly reached my eyes and I can't help but to stare every muscle he work hard at the gym.
"Baka matunaw na ako niyan" He utter while drying his hair with his towel. Agad naman nag-init ang mukha ko so I avoided his gaze. He then, reach for his phone and played a music that I'm not so familiar with.
Dumiretso lang ako sa vanity mirror to fix myself, but there's something burning sensation inside me when he start singing with his husky baritone voice and that made me look at him through the mirror and our eyes met. With that, I feel something butterflies in my stomach.
