I grab a paint roller and dip it into the paint. Then I push it against the wall. Up and down. I keep going until the whole wall is white. "What are you doing here?" I look up. Shit. He found me. "You should be in bed." Elijah says, standing in the doorway. I'm not supposed to be here. Since 2 months I am no longer allowed to do anything on my own, someone always has to be with me. And as you already hear, I am not allowed to do anything After a few days after the scan, so I snuck out of my room. Until now he didn't realize it, but he did now. Unfortunately. Of course I could not leave without the help of the person who was with me, they are Sanne, Arianne, John and Adam. I think they feel sorry for me or they never would have done it. But like I said, I got caught. "I'm already leaving," I say, throwing both my hands up in the air. I walk to the doorway, but Elijah stops and blocks the doorway. He stares at the wall. "What is it?" I walk through the whole pack, followed by Elijah. I walk past playgrounds, the market, houses and lawns until we get back to the pack house. I open the door and walk in. Elijah falls down on the couch. "Are you tired?" I tease him. He gives me an annoyed look and I laugh. I sit down on the couch and turn on Netflix. I choose my profile and start a series. Halfway through I fall asleep again, because I have slept very little lately. Elijah shakes my shoulder. "Amy, stay awake." I mumble and go back to sleep. Elijah takes the remote and starts a movie. "Hey Amy, check it out." He whispers. I open an eye, tired. I get scared and scream. Annabel is on TV. I slap softly hit him on his arm. "I was frightened to death!" He just laughs, and in the end I join in the laugh. Suddenly I stop laughing. My water broke. The baby is coming.
