- 2 MONTHS LATER -
"so what happened to the girl you were talking too?" i asked, sitting back in my seat as he put his phone in his pocket.
"she just got too clingy. you know how annoying that shit can be" he said making me laugh and nod in agreement. "how you been doin out here in new york? cant even see yo pretty ass no more"
"i go to nyu and i'm not switching again, Messiah. i had no choice" he waved me off.
"it's cool, shorty. i'm glad i could come see you" i smiled and nodded my head as he stood up. "i got you a surprise"
furrowing my eyebrows as he went out the front door, i waited. i didn't know what kind of surprise he was planning.. i haven't seen him since my 20th birthday.
once he walked in, he turned around and what i saw made my eyes light up.
"your literally the best oh my god" i took the bag of food from him hearing him laugh as i sat back on the couch. "my favorite place in florida!"
"it's probably cold now so i'd go warm that shit up"
"thank you so much, siah. i know it's not a lot, but thank you" he nodded and sat next to me on the couch as i put the bag on the table. "you want some?"
"nah i'm coolin'"
"whatchu' wanna do? it's getting late so i might go head to the store now to get those things i wanted"
"I mean we could do that" he tucked his lips in as he pulled me onto his lap. "or we could do something else"
"yea?" i looked around as his hands ran up my thighs till they were at my hips. "it's been a long ass time, Messiah"
"which is why you need it" he grabbed my chin and leaned up, kissing my lips. "let me make you feel good again, Rylan. no strings attached"
"you do look good.. but what about the food?"
"I'll go put it in the fridge" he sat up but still straddled me on his lap. "and you go upstairs and get ready for me"
"sounds like a plan" i got off his lap and he stood up, grabbing my neck and kissing me deeply.
now don't get me wrong, messiah is a great guy and gives good ass dick, but he's definitely not pop 🥴

stepping out the shower, i wrapped the towel around my body and stopped the music on my phone.
that's when i saw multiple messages from pop making me roll my eyes.

"Yo what the fuck!" i heard messiah raise his voice making me snap my head over to the door, soon watching it open.
"are you serious!" i mugged pop, pushing him back. "Pop i'm fine! i was in the shower! why the fuck are you so crazy!"
"watch out" messiah said making me look over and i shook my head as my eyes widened, stepping infront of pop.
"messiah just chill out! i'll be right back just go back to bed please" i pushed pop out the room and shut the door behind me, following him downstairs.
"this what the fuck you doin'? fuckin' round wit ya old hoes? one that hurt you!" pop mugged me and i sighed, rubbing my face.
"he never hurt me! that was micah! he's never put his hands on me and he's just here to see me. you need to mind your own fucking business! you don't see me being all crazy on you! i'm not your girlfriend and i don't have to please you, bashar. get the fuck out my apartment"
"You blowin' it. i came cause i thought he was somebody else and i wasn't tryna see you hurt. maybe if you fought your own battles, i wouldn't have to watch you"
"I just wanna kick you in your balls or some shit. for fucking real" i shook my head and fixed the towel around my body. "stop watching me or i swear i'ma get a restraining order against you, shar"
he checks on me here and there. just to make sure i'm good.. but sometimes it makes me feel like i can't do anything without him seeing.
"i get worried bout you, Rylan. it's been like that since high school. it's just me protecting you"
"i don't need your protection, shar. you shouldn't be able to watch me like a hawk the way you do! we're over and you needa move on"
"i have" i furrowed my eyebrows. "i'm seeing somebody"
ouch.
"who?"
"this girl from the bronx. her names Bria" he walked to me and lifted my chin making me get nervous seeing how close we were. "Stay safe forreal, Rylan. cause if something happened to you ion think id forgive myself"
i've never met a more confusing man in my life.. like at all.
