amelia ended up on the roof of the studio, staring at the sky, which was starting to go dark, reggie poofed up to join her and the pair sat in silence for a moment.
"i heard you singing in the music room" reggie broke the silence making amelia look at him "i really liked it"
"thanks, i got into a fight with ollie and i just wrote it, i don't even feel anything towards him anymore, well except hate" amelia informed
"i am sorry you know"
"i do, and that's why i wanted to talk to you, i was harsh earlier, but you caught me at a bad time, and being with luke today on his birthday showed me that life is too short to hold a grudge. i don't want to be mad at you" she told him "i don't like being mad at you"
"i don't like when your mad at me" reggie said
"so we okay?" amelia asked
reggie nodded and shifted closer to her, amelia rested her head on his shoulder and intertwined they fingers as they stared at the stars. "tell me about your performance"
"i don't really remember that much about the actual performance, i ran on complete adrenaline. savannah and ollie were trying to get in my head and i just wanted to show them who's boss, ya know" amelia shrugged
"i do, i'm proud of you" reggie grinned, amelia blushed in return "tell me about the song you sang earlier in the music room"
"thanks, i wanted to write something more boppy, and upbeat, and i was inspired by cruel summer by taylor swift" she giggled slightly
"well it paid off, i especially liked when you yelled 'yeah everything is all reused' i though that was clever" reggie beamed
amelia couldn't stop smiling "me too, and to be honest it wasn't even a heartbreak song, because i don't feel anything for him anymore, but i just wanted to write from the perspective that everyone faces after a break up, when they see something else living the life you lived, it has an interesting twist on deja vu"
"well you've shown me just how talented you really are" reggie grinned, amelia giggled nervously in response
they stared into each other's eyes for a minute, completely entranced by one another, before amelia's phone pinged, making her look away and at the time "i should probably go and get my car, see you at the gig tonight?"
"of course" reggie smiled. amelia kissed his cheek before making her way down off the studio roof, a lovesick smile plastered on her face

amelia pulled up at julies house and climbed out the car, only to be met with the sight of julie climbing out the window. once she was down she ran towards amelia is car and jumped into the passenger seat. "julie what the fuck?"
"my dad grounded me because i missed a calculus test, and i lied about it" julie said
amelia rolled her eyes "let me guess, climbing out the window was luke's idea"

amelia just scoffed and continued her way over to the cafe. she pulled into the car park before the pair of them ran in, worried they were late.

amelia and julie made their way to where flynn was stood, the guys behind her. "are we too late?"

carrie smiled as she walked into the stage "i hope you all came to have a great time" she giggled

julie turned to flynn "i'm not gonna lie, that was kinda good"
"yeah, i forgot why i hate her so much" flynn agreed
"hi girls, isnt past your bedtime" carrie smirked
"yes" amelia smirked, seeing carrie's falter
"now i remember" flynn muttered
carrie plastered her smirk back on "if you're looking for nick he didn't come, neither did ollie, he's with savannah"
"trust me carrie, im way over that cheater" amelia faked a smile
"that's not why we're here"
"okay it looked like we're closing the night out with one more group. julie and the fat ones" the announcer said
carrie laughed, while everyone's head subtly turned to luke "yeah man, my hand writing sucks"
amelia threw her leg back, successfully managing to kick him in the shin. he grunted and doubled over.
amelia and julie sent carrie a tight smile before walking onto the stage. amelia sat on the piano, and julie stood at the mic stand, close to her. "actually it's julie and the phantoms" julie corrected
"okay" amelia muttered, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, shaking her nerves and letting the music take her. amelia started playing the piano, and took the lead with the vocals
