I saw Esme for the first time earlier today, she was still as gorgeous as the last time, when I heard her singing I felt something in me, I didn't know it was her at first but when I saw her black hair I knew it was her, she was scared when I snuck up on her which made me laugh
her lyrics were happy but I just had a feeling that wasn't what she was feeling and it was all to please Matthew, it has to suck being in her position as well, she can't do anything without Matthew behind her back since she's dating his son, Patrick is a complete asshole I don't know what she sees in him, he seems like not a good boyfriend
everything was fine until Winnie came into the room, I had no clue she worked her and especially with Esme, the look on my face when she came out of the bathroom I could tell Esme knew something was fishy and then Winnie had to lean over and tell her which made Esme smirk
it wasn't awkward but I didn't want Esme to know. When I brought up Patrick she tensed up for some reason I wasn't aware of yet, I have a feeling I might find out soon enough
I walked out of Backstage with her, she went to her car and I went to mine ending our conversation but when I got into my car I hoped I would see her again and I promised myself I would, I don't care if Matthew gets mad at me, I'm drawn to her
I went home for the night and I fell asleep earlier than usual because I had nothing else to do, I was woken up when I heard my phone ding next to me, I pick it up half asleep but when I see the unknown number my eyes open wider looking at the words on the screen
"Hi, it's Esme I still had your number from the coffee shop incident, it was nice speaking to you today :) maybe I'll see more of you around since we know we work in the same building." I read her text message in my head and I smile at it sitting up now
I debate on what to type back, I don't want to make it too wordy but It can't be too short, oh what the hell am I a school girl I groan to myself and I say what comes to mind
"you definitely will, maybe I'll peak in your office when your in" I press send and I see the three bubbles pop up a few seconds later
"I'll be in tomorrow only for a short while I have a dinner to attend to" she types and I can't tell if the dinner is a good thing or a bad thing
"I'll see you tomorrow then" I type and she likes the message, I put my phone down and I drift off to sleep again thinking about see her tomorrow

I feel the sunshine hit my eyes from my blinds and I groan rolling over, damn It I forgot to close them yesterday, I roll over to my nightstand and I grab my phone pulling it off the charger
I check the time, It reads eleven in the morning at the top of my screen and I get out of bed at the thought that I will be seeing Esme again today, I walk into my closet throwing on a simple white t-shirt and beige trousers, I grab a blue bandana from my nightstand and I tie it around my neck, I look outside to see the sun shining bright down on LA and I grab my black sunglasses as well, I comb through my hair and I brush my teeth finishing getting ready
I feed rip and he looks excited when I put his food in his bowl, I put it next to the counter and I pour myself a bowl of cereal, I sit on chairs by the counter and I see Ripley eating below me, we eat and finish together and I give him his belly rubs before leaving the house
I text Liam and Zayn and Niall telling them I'm going in to the studio, "what for? do we need to come in" I see Liam reply back and I text back, "no you guys are good, I need to pick something up from Matthew" I respond and I see Niall send a rolling eye emoji and I smile putting my phone down and starting my car, since we are done with the first album we haven't had the need to be in the studio as much but now I have another reason to be there, we also do need to prepare for our tour that's coming up in three weeks, we're traveling all around the world for 8 months going to different cities and places, traveling is my dream and I get to do that while I do something I love, music
I will need help starting to write our next album on the road as well though too, because I know Matthew will be expecting one when we get back or an almost finished album
a couple minutes later I pull up to the studio and I see the white doors in front of me, I open them walking straight to the elevator, when I get inside the elevator instead of pressing floor three I press floor four, Esme's floor
a couple seconds later it lets me out on here floor and I walk down the hallway to her and Winnies studio, I knock on the door and I'm greeted with Esme standing in front of me, she smiles and looks up at me, I take in her outfit for today, a pair of white overalls and a black long-sleeve body suit underneath, and a pair of black boots to go with it, her hair is put up in a low bun and she has light make-up on as well
"morning Esme" I smirk down at her and she lets me in the room, "Morning Harry" she says back in front of me and I sit down on one of her white couches, I see Winnie stare at me while she leans against the table of electronics
"what do you have planned for today?" I ask her and I lean back against the couch resting, "nothing much, Matthew told Patrick about a dinner tonight so I have to go to that" she shrugs and I see her look down, she doesn't look excited about that
"what time?" I ask her and she looks up at me, "uh 5 I think" she says and I hear the soft voice come out of her mouth
Winnie sits there at our interaction and I look at Esme's notebook she has in her hand, "did you finish the song from yesterday?" I ask her and she nods smiling, "I have to record it now, I was just about to do that before you came in" she smiles and I nod, "do you want me to leave?" I ask her and she shakes her head, "no you can stay, Winnie you wanna get it set up?" she asks her and Winnie nods turning around, clicking buttons, Esme walks into the recording booth and puts the headphones on, Winnie gives her the thumbs up and I hear Esme voice, its angelic. she sounds like a perfect day, not too sunny but not to cloudy and just the right temperature, maybe 65 degrees
she sings the lyrics of the upbeat song and I hear the beat go along with her voice perfectly, I smile and I tap my foot to her voice, a couple minutes later she finishes the take and she takes the headphones off and walks out of the booth, "how was it" she breathes out and Winnie and I clap, "you sounded Beautiful Esme" I smirk and I see her checks go red
"thank you harry" she says and sits down next to me, I hear the door open and I see Matthews body appear in front of us, "harry what are you doing at the studio today?" he asks me and I shrug, "needed to ask you something actually" I say and I see Esme tense next to me, she looks uncomfortable at his presence, "can I come to dinner tonight?" I ask him and he looks stunned, "I don't think so" I hear his voice and I shrug, "why not it can be a going away tour dinner thingy" I say and he rolls his eyes, "whatever bring the band I guess, be there five sharp and no funny business you hear me" he asks stern and I nod, he looks at Esme and she sort of hides behind me, I cover her up and he walks out of the room
"Winnie can you go grab us waters please" I hear Esme's voice and she looks at Winnie, she nods and exits the room, "Harry why would you do that" she jumps up and paces around the room, "do what?" I ask her and she groans, "let's get one thing straight, I don't like Matthew, he influences Patrick to do bad things" she mumbles and I stand up in front of her stopping her from pacing, "like what?" I ask and she goes quiet, she's not gonna tell me yet
"n-nothing but I just you just can't mess with Matthew" she whispers and I touch her forearm slightly, "I won't I'm sorry" I say genuinely and she nods, "I'll see you tonight then?" she asks me and I nod
"tonight" I whisper and I kiss the back of her hand
