October 27th the nationwide highschool volleyball championship or also known as Spring high held in miyagi prefecture in Sendai City Gymnasium
Inside the gymnasium was a lot of people waiting for the two school representatives to arrive.
Shiratorizawa have been getting ready in one of the changing room, All are wearing their famous White snd purple Jersey's.
On the very corner was Y/n sitting far from the others, he was trying to clear his mind by taking deep breaths and letting it all out in one push
“Everyone get ready we're going out.” Their manager said
Everyone got up and made sure they're all well prepared for their upcoming match against karasuno who defeated Seijou
Each of them grabbed their jackets and wore them as they went out. Loud cheers erupted as they appeared inside the gymnasium
"SHIRATORIZAWA"
“I'm going deaf after this game.” Y/n sighed as he covered His ears while tendō laughed at him and patted his back
“You'll get used to it!” He said with a reassuring smile
Once he gets a better view of the court he saw the black and orange jersey not far from them. He locked eyes with suga who nodded at him while smiling, he gave suga a small smile before going to their bench where they'll be given instructions about the match
“First warm up we don't want any of you slacking especially you Y/n.” Coach washijō said in a stern voice while having his arms crossed
Y/n could only roll his eyes, he nor even starting yet and he's already getting scolded. Sometimes he wonders whether this coach has a grudge against him.
“Yeah yeah..stretch and give out all I got blah blah blah” Y/n said as he head towards the side and slumped down on the ground and starts stretching
“Shouto, be careful!” S/n yelled as she chased after the hyper shouto who's running down the stairs dodging all the cheerleaders who just awed at the little boy
“If we slowed down we won't see Y/n nii- chan play!” Shouto yelled back as he hold onto the railings
He couldn't see Y/n since the bleachers was a bit higher than before, he tried tip toeing but it was useless that is until someone scooped him up from his feet, turning around to thank his aunt he was faced to faced with a man.
His smile drops as he tried to look for his aunt but failed when he couldn't find her
“W-who are you?” shouto asked, the man smiled and pointed at the court
Shouto followed the direction where he's pointing at and it landed on Y/n who's picking up a stray ball and throwing it at shirabu hitting him on the back of his head causing him to chase y/n
“Thats my son, Y/n.” the man said
“...Kenji..what are you doing here?”
Shouto turned and there he saw his auntie holding a bag of snacks and a small bag where shouto's stuffs are
“Cant i watch and support my son, S/n?” Kenji said in a bitter tone
He never once liked his daughter since she looks exactly like her mother he would always get reminded by her whenever she looks at his daughter's face.
Unlike Y/n who's the exact replica of him but with a different eye color, he liked his son better.
“Who's with you? How did you find us?” S/n asked grabbing shouto away from the man's grasped and holding him into her arms
“Relax my brother enji is not here, besides I just want to talk to Y/n.” Kenji said turning his attention back to where Y/n currently is
Back to the court they were surprised by Hinata's straight shot except Y/n who's half asleep on a bench beside the demon coach who just sighed and shakes his head disappointedly
“This kid will be the death of me.” he sighed
“I didn't get much sleep last night so let me rest, its not like I'll play through the entire game old man.” Y/n muttered closing his eyes and crossing his arms
He was about to fall asleep when suddenly the loud ringing from the referee stopped him, he opened his eyes and sent the referee a harsh glare who visibly flinched and looked away
Everyone gathered and formed a line, Y/n's eyes were still half closed as he stood beside semi who chuckled at him
“Is Y/n-senpai in the verge of falling asleep?” Yamaguchi asked sweat dripping
“I bet you five dollars he'll end up sleeping on that bench.” Tanaka said nudging nishinoya who nodded and bet with Tanaka
As they were gathering Y/n felt a tap at the back of his head causing him to fully open his eyes and look straight, Semi laughed beside him
“Now, Japan boys volleyball miyagi prefecture spring high finals, Karasuno High vs Shiratorizawa High! ”
Both teams bowed at each other except for one karasuno member who's standing still.
“We need to bow, idiot!” Kageyama scolded hinata
“Heh, how embarrassing. ” Tsukishima teased
“Next, we will introduce the players.”
They all gathered to the front and starts shaking hands, Y/n clasped hinata's hands and gave him a determined smile before going back
Hinata was looking at his hands with sparkles in his eyes.
“Y/n-senpai shakes hand with me!” He said raising both his hands in front to admire
The teams that are playing for the first set would be Ushijima, Reon, Tendō, Goshiki, Shirabu, kawashini and Yamagata.
Y/n would play on the second set since the coach noticed how sleep deprived the male was so he let's him take a small rest on the bench where he immediately fell asleep
Yes, Y/n is sleeping during the finals.
The coach was making sure Y/n have his energy back when he's on the court, despite being a pain in the ass he sees good potential on Y/n.
If only he could control his anger then he would probably be a worldwide star, he just needs to be trained more
Now on karasuno's team it was Daichi, asahi, Tanaka, kageyama, hinata, tsukishima and nishinoya who's playing...
“Woah, just looking at them makes me nervous.. ” Saeko said
“And I thought the atmosphere was okay after seeing hinata's spike during warm up..” Shimada said while standing beside saeko both watching the players nervously
“Shiratorizawa has been here countless times before, for karasuno it's their first time at the finals playing center court. Its only natural that they're nervous.” Takinoue said
“Since its their first time in the finals, does that mean the first five set match as well?” Akiteru asked
“Five sets?” Saeko turned her attention to akiteru
Shimada raised up three fingers and starts to explain
“Up until now, they've only had to win two sets out of three to win the match. However, at the finals, they'll have to win three out of the five sets that's what the the top teams you see on TV do.” shimada explained to saeko
“Eh?! Won't they be very tired?! ” saeko asked loudly
“Yeah, stamina is also a concern.” Shimada said and soon the three male's expression drops and became gloomy
“Hey! We can't lose faith in them already! ” saeko yelled at them
Back at the court, Daichi was about to serve. He held the ball with both hands before throwing it up the air and then spiking it sending it toward Shiratorizawa
Goshiki was about to receive it when he stops and yelled
“Out!” He said loud enough for everyone to hear
Next to serve was kawanishi, once the ball was up and heading toward karasuno. Tanaka called out for the ball but failed to receive it when both him and asahi stop on their tracks causing for the ball to bounce on the floor earning Shiratorizawa another point
“AHH! SORRY!” tanaka yelled
“It was my fault!” asahi yelled as well
“CALM DOWN!”
Everyone freezes and immediately turned around to see sugawara being held back by two members
“WHY ARE YOU JUST GIVING THEM POINTS?! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS EVEN AFRAID OF?! THIS IS ALL ON TV, YOU KNOW!!” He screamed so loud that the referee ended up glaring at him
“We know! We know! You calm down too!” Daichi said followed by tanaka muttering the word 'Scary'
“I was glared at by the referee” Suga said sweat dropping
Soon the ball was up again and this time daichi received it sending it to tsukishima who slammed it down only to be received by goshiki
Shirabu tossed the ball towards Ushijima who ran towards the front.
“Here it comes.” Asahi said as him, tsukishima and kageyama are getting ready to block his attack but failed when the ball went pass his block and head towards nishinoya who recieved it but it went to the side giving Shiratorizawa another point
Nishinoya gave Ushijima a smirk.
“Why hello there, lefty.”
