Finally after that very long and quite unnecessary conversation with Gally, I've managed to reach the treeline,
But when I reach the tree, he's not in or near it,
I thought for sure he was going to be here,
As I turn around I run face first into once again,
Another person,
But as I look up it's not Gally...
It's Newt,
I'm taken aback for a moment,
Until he speaks, "I knew you'd come."
"Wha- how would you even~"
He cuts me off, "I left the keys there on purpose, you're not stupid y/n and neither am I."
"But, I didn't, I don't understand."
Dang I've got a stuttering problem.
"Are you with him or are you with me?"
"What are you talking about?"
He takes a step closer,
Intimidated I step back, in fact I step back far enough until I'm backed up against a tree,
Newt is standing only a foot away from me at this point,
"How could you not know?" He questions me,
"I don't understand, Newt, are you mad at me?"
He looks almost disappointed,
"I'm in love with you y/n!" He shouts,
My eyes widen,
"You really mean it?" My voice comes out quiet,
"OF COURSE I MEAN IT Y/N, are you really questioning me? No, of course you are, because you're in love with Thomas."
"What!? No I am not!"
"Don't lie to me! Okay, tell me this, look me in the eye and tell me don't like him, not even a little bit."
He comes close to my face, I couldn't back away any further,
I couldn't lie so I did the only thing I could think of that might convince him,
I kissed him.
