Four Years Later...

The vibrant summer rays bloomed over the horizon, stretching outwards into the rich blue sky. The sunrise peeked through the curtains and illuminated the bedroom, where two souls were snuggled into each other's embrace, unaware of the new day.

Four years have passed ever since Ruhbal and Asfandyar had became one, defeating all odds. During these four years, the two grew from their pain and learned to heal.

The journey the two shared was bumpy. Every day was a challenge, but they overcame their pain and started to live the life they truly deserved. It took Ruhbal an extremely long time to come to terms with everything that had happened.

Her uncle's betrayal was something that weighed heavy in her heart even after many years. After all, she had loved and cherished Nabeel Eman like any daughter would, her father.

But now, all she had in her heart for him was pity. Because, in the end, he could've had a family, a wife, and kids who might not have been his own, but at least a family he could've cherished as his.

Yet, he lost everything in a matter of minutes; after Asfandyar had recovered from his injuries, the two had reported Nabeel Eman to the police for the crimes he had committed.

Nabeel was immediately arrested and was given the death penalty by the common law of England and Wales for double homicide.

The day he was arrested and detained was also the day Ruhbal visited her brother's grave for the first time since he was buried. She had finally felt at peace bringing her brother justice, and that day also marked a new beginning for her, Asfandyar, and their mother, Aleena.

And ever since that day four years ago, their life was blissful as ever. They definitely had faced problems as any normal couple would, but now, they had each other, and that's all that mattered.

The first thing Asfandyar saw when he opened his eyes was his wife snuggled into his arms, his lips stretched into a bright smile, looking at his love. She was his everything; the love he has for her goes beyond words.

Glancing down, his velvet black orbs met with her warm mahogany brown eyes; her smile held gentle teasing while his soft lips stretched in adoration.

Leaning his face forward, Asfandyar pecked her forehead, a gesture so soft yet so intimate, as forehead kisses are kisses meant for the soul.

"Good Morning, love."

His gaze was transfixed on her, drinking her every feature. Thinking about her was enough to make Asfandyar smile even when she was beside him; his reverence broke when Ruhbal playfully nudged him in the stomach bringing him back from his daze.

"What?"

He questioned her with his oh-so-signature smirk, something Ruhbal was fully aware of.

"Stop thinking about me, go and get ready; we're getting late,"

Ruhbal said while lightly nudging Asfandyar and almost pushing him off the bed.

"And how do you know I was thinking about you?"

"Because that is what you always do."

"Oh, really?"

"Umm, yes"

Having a mischief glint in his eyes, Asfandyar picked up his pillow and initiated a pillow fight. Instead of hearing the birds chirping that fine morning, all that could be heard was their laughter resounding all around their home.

Today was a special day for the duo; it was the third anniversary of the first orphanage home they opened, "Mini Miracles Home." Ruhbal and Asfandyar had opened an orphanage home in honor of the many children who didn't have anyone to call their own.

Asfandyar knew how it felt to be an orphan, although after meeting Razaan, he got the family he always wanted. He never wanted any child to feel as if they are alone in this world; hence opening a home for all those innocent souls felt like a dream.

Today, Ruhbal and Asfandyar would also bring their first child home, their son, Razaan Asfandyar Eman. Razaan was one of the first babies brought to "Mini Miracles Home." that one-year-old baby had just lost his parents due to an accident, and him coming to their orphanage was a blessing in disguise.

As soon as Ruhbal held Razaan in her arms, she felt as if the essence of her brother was in that small baby boy. His name was enough to know that he was a precious gift from above, and from that moment, Ruhbal knew that he was her son, her first baby.

Adopting Razaan was a complicated process since adopting a baby from your own orphanage can be seen as a conflict of interest, but no matter what, the two didn't give up and waited for as long as they had to bring home their baby boy. And now, after three years, they will.

Once the two reached "Mini Miracles Home," they were greeted with the love and adoration of every child and staff present there. Ruhbal and Asfandyar's hearts were filled with immense love, being surrounded by all the little angels around them.

"Mama, Baba"

A little voice spoke.

Upon hearing her son's voice, Ruhbal turned around and made her way to Razaan. Slowly bending down, she engulfed her son into a tender motherly hug.

"Razaan, you will be coming home with mama and baba today, aap khush hai na?"
(Your happy, right?)

Ruhbal said with the tenderest smile on her face.

"Really, mama? I'm coming home"

"Of course, champ you are; I have set up your room just the way you wanted, and Nani Jaan is so excited to have her grandbaby home."

Asfandyar told his son while picking him up and holding him around his waist.

"Baba, what about my baby sister?"

Razaan asked innocently.

"She's still a few months away, but she will be here soon."

Ruhbal and Asfandyar were truly blessed in many ways; even after receiving one of the biggest blessings in life in the form of their son, God gifted the two with another child, their daughter. Ruhbal was six months pregnant with their daughter, and being with both of her children today was something she would cherish forever.

Ruhbal and Asfandyar were truly blessed with the life they were bestowed upon with; they found their way home, and now they were happy, truly happy in every sense.

The journey the two shared wasn't easy; life, people, and situations brought many lessons into their lives, making them who they are today. The love the two have would always remain the same. And, even after many years, the two were irrevocably in love. Because in the end, they were each other's Bekhudi, they were each other's ecstasy.
