When I woke up I expected to be in the common room when I was actually in my dorm.
I wondered how I had got here but I turned to my right and saw Draco asleep on one of my bean bags.
My eyes widened.
He slept here?!
"Draco."
I got up and went over to him.
"Dracoooo," I said as I shook him awake.
He jumped, "what-
"We're going to be late, we already missed breakfast!"
"Shit," he got up slowly and rubbed his eyes.
I was running in and out of the bathroom trying to make myself look presentable.
"Omg, I can't get detention..." I murmured anxiously as I ran around my room.
"Just relax-
"Don't tell me to relax." I snapped. "And why aren't you getting out? We have class in 5 minutes go get ready!"
He rolled his eyes and ran out of my dorm.
A minute later he came back just as I was jamming books into my bag.
"You ready?" He asked.
His hair was done, he had on his uniform and looked as if he had been ready for hours.
How is that even possible?!
I quickly tied my hair into a messy low bun and grabbed my bag.
We quickly walked to first period.
"So would I be correct to assume you're the one who put me in my room last night?"
"Do u really think I would let you sleep on the couch?"
"Um Yeah." I said.
"Oh please." He said.
When we finally got to class I struggled to pay attention.
I felt my eyes slowly start to close until I felt Draco poke my hand.
He looked over at me and grinned.
LATER:
I was sitting down at dinner when I had realized the ring Cedric gave me was gone.
I immediately looked at Draco.
I wanted to open my mouth and start yelling at him, but I couldn't just accuse him like that.
Besides, it would've made me look like a complete bitch.
When we all finished our dinner I went back to my dorm with Pansy and started looking for my ring.
Maybe I just miss placed it?
But Draco was the only one in here.
Although it did seem like something Draco would do I continued looking for it.
9:30 PM
With still no luck finding it I had no choice but to talk to Draco.
I went over to his dorm and knocked on the door.
When he opened it he was laughing looking back at his friends who were playing cards.
"Well, look who it is."
Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle all laughed as they took sips of the bourbon Draco had hidden in his room.
"Listen, I just wanted to know where my ring is."
I crossed my arms across my chest and looked him dead it the eye.
Deep down, I knew he had it.
"Why are you asking me about a ring?"
"Because I-
"It's not my problem," He sneered as he cut me off.
As his friends all laughed my patience was growing thin.
"Your attitude is amusing as always Draco, but if you couldn't tell I'm not in the particular mood right now. Unless you're that absentminded."
"Oooo," Draco's friends chimed in.
"I don't have your stupid ring alright," he rolled his eyes and slowly started closing the door.
"Okay, so here's how this is gonna go," I said as I put my hand on the door to stop it from closing. "You're going to tell me where you put it or else."
His friends went silent and all the attention in the room had shifted over to me.
"Oh yeah, or else what," Draco said as he got closer to my face.
"Or else there will be severe consequences."
Draco's flirty grin slowly faded away due to my serious expression.
"You have until dinner time tomorrow to give it back. If the ring is not in my possession in time, I'm getting you back."
A devilish smile appeared on my face.
"Good night boys." I said as I waved.
As I walked back to my room a dark figure appeared in the corner of the hallway.
I rubbed my eyes but it didn't go away.
I stood there staring at whatever it was for a moment until I heard the door shut behind me.
I jumped and looked behind me to see Adrian standing in the doorway of his dorm.
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you Y/n."
"It's fine, I was just heading back to my room."
"From Malfoy's room I see." His kind smile changed to a curious grin.
"Yeah well, he took something from me so I thought I could try and get it back."
"I have to ask, are you two together or..?"
"Uh well, it's complicated." I nervously played with the bottom end of my braid.
"Oh, I get it. Sorry to bug you, I just needed to get out of my room."
"Why?" I asked.
"Terrace is snoring really loud again. I can't sleep."
We both laughed due to the fact that last week we all had a conversation about how some of us don't snore.
"Well, we should probably get some sleep. Don't forget, we have quidditch practice tomorrow." He said.
"Right, got it."
"See you around Y/n."
"See you Adrian."
When I finally got back to my room Pansy was sitting on her bed waiting for me.
"Had some fun now did we?"
"Huh?" I said.
"You were gone for like 30 minutes."
I told Pansy what happened. We started discussing how Draco wouldn't actually give me back the ring on time.
So we started brainstorming ways to get him back.
The next morning:
I was on my way to breakfast when Cedric was in the hallway talking to his friends.
He came up to me and said hi.
"You didn't forget about our date tonight right?" He asked.
"No no, of course not."
"Alright good, this is going to be special."
He took my hand and held it for a moment.
"Can't wait Cedric."
He smiled down at me and we walked to breakfast together.
When we went over to our separate tables Pansy gave me "that look" as in the 'I know you like him a lot' look.
I stared at Cedric almost the entire time.
"May I have some juice please?" Blaise asked.
I was so busy staring that I didn't even hear.
"Hellooooo." Pansy said as she waved her hand in my face and laughed.
"Hm?"
"Some juice, if you don't mind." Blaise said.
As I started pouring it I looked back over at Cedric for a second but the cup stared overflowing.
"Woah, hey, too much!" Blaise exclaimed.
"Shoot, sorry."
I took napkins and started cleaning up.
"That's the last time I ask you for Juice." Blaise said as he laughed with the rest of the group.
"That wouldn't have happened if you were paying attention." Draco said as he sat down next to me.
"I hope you have my ring." I said.
"Ugh, could you just let it go already."
"No, I can't just 'let it go' it was a gift and I need it back."
"I'll give it back to you on one condition."
"What?" I said sounding very annoyed.
"You have to help me study tonight."
"I can't tonight." I said.
"And why is that?" He asked.
"I have a date."
"With who."
He took a sip of his water.
"Your father."
Draco nearly spit out his water as Pansy, Blaise, Crabbe and Goyle laughed.
He looked over at me disgusted by my joke.
"Draco who else does she go out with besides you?" Pansy asked.
"She should only be going out with me." He said quietly out of the side of his mouth.
"Anyways Draco, I can't help you tonight so pick another."
"No, I want tonight or else you don't get your ring back."
"No. You give me my ring by dinner tonight as I said or you'll regret it."
"Fine." Draco said.
Time skip to quidditch practice:
I was excited for my date with Cedric and this practice was going to be fun.
I got ready and went onto the field.
Draco was standing next to Blaise waiting for the rest of the team to get out.
"Hey." I said.
Blaise looked up at the sky.
"You hear something?"
"Don't ignore me," I protested as I poked Blaise with the top part of my broom.
We were both laughing until the rest of the team came out.
"Seem like you're in a good mood Y/n." Adrian said.
"Heard she's been going out with Diggory." Terrance replied.
The rest of the team stared mimicking me and joking around.
"Oooo Y/n Diggory, nice ring to it." Terrance said as the entire team laughed.
Draco was the only one who wasn't amused.
Blaise stood beside him trying to hold in his laugher.
My face was bright red almost the entire practice because every time one of them got close to me they made a comment about Cedric.
As soon as we finished Draco stormed off before I could even talk to him.
Dinner was right after practice so we rushed back into the great hall.
I sat down and waited for Draco to come.
But he never did.
When dinner was over I stormed through the common room and knocked on Draco's door.
"Draco open the damn door."
"What? Is this what you want? Here."
He threw the ring to me and slammed the door in my face.
I got back to my dorm and got ready for my date.
Pansy helped me do my hair and get ready.

I finally met up with Cedric.
As we were leaving we passed the library.
When we walked by I saw Draco in the corner with his glasses on studying.
Never even knew he had glasses but okay.
Cedric and I walked through town and went into shops like we usually did.
When we were walking back I started seeing something.
It was that same vision of Cedric dead on the ground.
This time it was much more clear. Harry was holding Cedric's dead body.
I heard another voice but it turned out to be Cedric trying to make sure I was okay.
"Y/n, what just happened?"
"It's nothing."
I knew I had to keep these visions to myself. It could be dangerous if anyone found out.
"Your eyes, they turned white."
"Yeah, it happens. Anyways let's go."
I tried to keep that conversation as casual as it could be.
We stopped and sat on one of the benches in the hallway.
"I have to tell you something Y/n."
"What is it?" I asked.
"I really appreciate you as a friend and I'm so glad we can go on nice dates and hangout together. I just wanted to tell you that I love you and care about you a lot."
"Thanks Ced, I care about you a lot too."
He smiled at me and gave me a hug.
"I understand the me and Draco thing, it's hard to pick between two people. But in the end no matter what happens I'll always be your friend."
After the date:
As I was on my way back I noticed Draco was still sitting alone in the library.
I decided to go in and maybe talk to him for a while.
"Hey." I said as I approached his table.
"Ugh, what." He quickly took off his glasses.
"Nice glasses by the way."
He sighed.
"Tell anyone I wear glasses and I'll-
"You'll what?"
He gave me a grin.
"Never mind." He said.
He closed his book, "how did your 'date' go?"
"It was good I suppose." I shrugged.
Cedric told me he loved me.
I think I loved him too but I wasn't sure in what way.
"That doesn't sound very convincing." Draco said.
"You know, we haven't went out in a while."
"Are you asking me on a date Y/L/N?"
"Possibly. Or maybe next time there's a party we can go together."
He looked down and smiled.
"I suppose if I'm that desperate."
"Very funny." I sneered.
I grabbed the glasses from the table and put them on.
"These look way cooler on me."
"Give them back." He said as he got up.
I walked through the back part of the library still wearing Draco's glasses.
He caught up to me and tried taking his glasses back.
"Just give them back, I've been studying and I'm supposed to owl my mum back before bed."
He whispered that last part.
"Kiss me first." I said.
He laughed slightly then leaned in and gave me one kiss.
"What was that." I said sounding disappointed.
"That's all you get until our date."
"You suck."
He took his glasses and we walked back to the common room together.
