Life at the Butterfly Estate is never really calm, especially for me, the only other healer at the mansion. I finished checking up on some of the patients we had, all of them were healing up great. I let out a long sign, a smile making it's way to my face 'Finally! A break!' I mentally cheered, but my joy was soon replaced with boredom a groaned in annoyance "I'm so used to working all the time, I have no actual idea of what to do if it's not work.." I looked up at the sky, a cool breeze flowing through my [H/l] [H/c] hair, and I though of the many places that I hadn't been to.
I heard someone walking behind me so I turned around "Shinobu-chan?" I said "Hello [Y/n], I hate to put you on the spot, but I've been asked to assist the other Hashira on a mission. Could I leave you in charge?" she asked 'She never does these out of nowhere... must be urgent then..' nodding i smiled at her "Of course you can, it must be urgent, you better get along." I told her, she waved and went off. I stood back up "Well that solves my boredom problem." I chuckled to myself while going to check on her patients, and also the residents of the mansion. All her patients were doing great, and were training to get back in shape. I saw everyone too, helping out with training. I went to see if the supplies were fully stocked, or if I had to re-stock. I walked towards the medical room, where all the medicine and equipment were stocked. I checked over all the equipment, we were fully stocked on the needles, and plaster for any broken bones. "Now to check on the medicine itself." I said to myself, opening the cabinets I check on the dry medicine first, pills, powders, and all that stuff, seeing that everything was in place and good, besides some re-stocking on the pain killers, and some anti-biotics. I checked on the ointments and liquids next, and oh boy did that need to be re-stocked.
Yep, you can guess what I spent the next 3 hours doing, sorting, organizing and re-stocking medicine. When I was done, I had to check up on the patients and make sure they've taken their medicine and are resting. When that was also done, I went to go start dinner for us, the residents of the mansion. After finishing meal prep I called everyone to come and eat, after eating was done, everyone went to sleep, I had to wash the dishes so I was up pretty late washing dishes. I heard walking outside, and decided to go see what it was, technically I am a slayer, I just never go on missions. I walked out slowly, and looked around, I saw something hunched over, It was too dark to tell what, and the clouds were blocking the moonlight, "Hello?" I asked I saw the figure change, I felt my hair stand on its ends, a cold chill went though my spine and I was even more terrified "W-who are you?" I asked trying to sound strong, but I stuttered and sounded like a scared little girl. The clouds parted and the moon's light shone down on the house, brightening my field of vision, now I could see that in front of me was one of the Hashira, don't remember which one, but he was terribly wounded "Holy f*ck! Why didn't you say you were injured?!" I yelled, he looked so weak 'What in hell's name could hurt a Hashira like this?!' I mentally asked myself, I prepared myself for him to lose consciousness, but he kept on forcing himself awake, I did the only thing that came to mind, and grabbed his arm pulling him into one of the unoccupied rooms.
I ran to the medical room and grabbed everything I needed, and ran back as fast as I could. When I came back he was lying on the bed unconscious, I hurried to check him for any wounds that needed immediate attention and didn't find any on his bare skin, but I soon found his green-tinted slayer uniform was darker near the stomach area, so I had no choice but to cut it off with scissors. Getting rid of his uniform top only revealed more major wounds, so I set to work, disinfecting every single one of them, and bandaging him afterwards, after taking care of the major wounds, I started on the minor ones, only disinfecting them, seeing as they weren't deep and weren't bleeding as much. After doing all that, I started on the even minor minor ones, scratches, smaller cuts, and anything like them. After some time I finished up and pulled a blanket out of the closet and put in over him, and started cleaning up the mess I'd made while quickly tending to his wounds to make sure he wasn't on death's door.
The next morning I went to go check on him, and as soon as I opened the door, I was met with two large eyes, what's worse is that he was standing up "Hey! Go back on the bed! You don't want your wounds re-opening do you?!" I scolded him "Why should I listen to a healer?" he asked "Because this healer," I pointed to myself furrowing my brows more "Saved your damn a*s!" I answered, he scoffed and went back to lay on the bed "Any pain?" I asked, still pissed that he asked such a question, he shook his head "You can be honest." He looked away and I saw a small nod from him "Are the bandages at all moist?" I asked, again he nodded "Okay, well I go grab some pain killers for you, and we'll have to change your wound dressing too. Don't move from your place, I don't want any of your wound to re-open." and with that I left the room, and walked towards the medical room to grab some pain killers, and new bandages.
Walking back into the room, I saw he actually didn't move "Here, don't take more than two each day." I said handing him the pill tube "Could you sit up strait for me?" I asked and he did as I told him to. After removing his old bandages and checking if any of the wounds were wet, I started putting the new bandages on him, on a few occasions my hand would graze his skin, and he would flinch 'Are my hands that cold?' I questioned myself "Is it tight?" I asked to make sure it wasn't too tight he shook his head and I continued to dress his wounds. After finishing I smiled at my work "There, now no training until all the deep wounds are completely healed, only then will I let you go." I said before gathering all the rest of the bandages and leaving.
Ever since that day, whenever I went to check on him, I tried to make small talk with him. I learned a bunch of things too, Like his name ,Sanemi Shinazugawa, and which pillar he was. I eventually started looking forward to talking with him, not too sure about him though. "You asked for my name.. but I never asked yours.." he said one day "[Y/n], [Y/n] [L/n]." I said, cleaning up the closet since I figured he's be staying here for a few months "Are you a slayer?" "Yes I am, Though you could say I'm the weakest of the weak." I added laughing at myself "I think you've got guts." He said "Do you now? And why would that be?" He chuckled "You scolded me, didn't you?" I looked at him "Yes.. but that was because you were going to reopen your wounds." I looked at him, and found he was looking at me "You still scolded a Hashira, I don't think many people get to do that." I scoffed playfully "Can.. can I ask you something?" He asked I looked at him and nodded "Are you.." he stopped and looked away "Am I what?" "Are you in a relationship with anyone?" He asked, I blinked a few times "Are you asking me out?" I asked a grin on my face he nodded "Alright." "Alright what?" He asked "Alright, I'll go out with you."
