Xin Qiancheng continued to ask, “Then why are you in the mood to cook this much?” He froze for a moment after finishing his sentence, then asked hastily, “Are you thinking about inviting Chen Sinan over to eat?”

Xin Siyue remembered Chen Sinan messaging her telling her that he couldn’t pick her up because of an important meeting, so he told the driver to pick her up. But Xin Siyue had a car herself so she didn’t want to make it troublesome. She messaged him back, saying that she could drive home herself.
Chen Sinan told her to be careful on the way and said that he had a dinner party to attend after the meeting. By the time it ended, it probably would’ve been too late.
Xin Siyue only replied, “Oh.”
Now that Xin Qiancheng asked, Xin Siyue explained, “He’s a bit busy.”
Xin Qiancheng did not give his opinion.
Xin Siyue also told him that she will go back to Shen Jin City tomorrow morning to see Jian Lan. “Do you need my help?” Xin Qiancheng asked.

Jian Lan still had her theatrical costume on her. After she saw Xin Siyue, she apologized with a smile on her face, “Sorry, I thought I could go on break earlier, but then they added another scene, so I didn’t have time until now. Sorry for making Ms. Xin wait for such a long time.”

Jian Lan nodded and smiled.
The first thing Chen Sinan asked was: when do you get off work? Xin Siyue answered, “I don’t know.”
“Then give me a call when you finish. I’ll bring you out to eat.”
“Chen Sinan, I’m not in A City.”
“Hm?”
“I’m at Shenjin City.” Xin Siyue heard the subtle tone in his voice before she remembered that she forgot to tell him that she went to see Jiang Lan. However, she didn’t dare to delay him. She said hurriedly, “I’m busy right now, I’ll call you back later.”
