"What is this? Is this some type of sick joke Iman because this shit isn't funny" you say angrily looking at the person in front of me
" Baby its me Tey. I know your mad and confused but I promise I will explain everything" she says and you are literally in so much shock that you can't even move
" I thought you were dead Teyana. For 5 years you have been gone and out of three of those five I have been depressed, heartbroken, and full of just pain. And after 5 FUCKING YEARS YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST COME BACK LIKE ITS NOTHING. " you yelled and she looks down
" And YOU" you pointed at Iman
" You knew she was alive this WHOLE time. You watched me cry my damn eyes out for years. I was wishing and praying that she would come back. And you watched me." you shook your head
" Princess I wanted to tell you" he says with an apologetic look
you didn't say anything but scoff
" Baby please let me explain." She give me a pleading look
" Not today Teyana. I am tired, mad and confused. Maybe tomorrow but not today. I need some time to my self. And I'm really trying to keep myself from slapping you" your voice rasps
" I understand. I'll have Iman give you my number so you can hit me up when your ready to talk" she says and you nod
You turned around and walk back in the house without sparing them a second glance.
My mind soon began to wonder who else knew about this. Iman is Tey's Bestfriend so it's no surprise to me that he knows. My other guess would be Kehlani.
" Hey Queen, girl is Lani still here?" You asked her
" Yea I think she's in the back yard" she pointed towards the back door
" Ok thank you" You say and make your way to the backyard and you find Lani talking to one of the guests
" Lani can I talk to you for a min" she looks at me then back at the women
" Excuse me for a second" she told the lady and we walked in the house and up the stairs
" What's wrong" she asks
"You knew didn't you"
" Knew what Princess" she frowns
" Don't act fucking stupid Kehlani!"
She sighs and turns around to see if anyone is listening.
" Yes Princess. I knew" she says
" Wow" You chuckled angrily
" Princess it was for a good reason. I know you may not think so but I promise it was. You know we would never do something like that for for reason" she whispers
" Look Princess, it's not my place to say. Tey wants to be the one to tell you. Just believe me when I say it was to keep you a Junie protected" she says
" So her faking her own death protected me and Junie?" You say in a 'really' tone
"Yes Princess" she sighs

" okay you know what I want to talk to all of y'all together. Because I want to here everything. I'll hit you or Iman up one day. " you tell her and she nods
" Just know that it was for you and Junie's safety Princess"
You muttered a "ok" to her and she walk out the door shortly after.

"UHHHH" You let out a loud groan
It's 2 in the morning and you are yet to go to sleep. So many thoughts running threw your mind.
You thought you could wait a few days until you were ready to talk but you are inpatient and you want answers now....at two o'clock in the morning.
Grabbing your phone off the night stand calling Iman. You're 100% certain that he isn't asleep. He's a night owl meaning he does all his sleeping in the daytime.
" Hello, Princess you and June bug good? It's 2 o'clock in the morning why you ain't sleep" you here shuffling in the background
" Yea we're good I just couldn't sleep. And um..do you think you can bring Tey and Lani over here so we can all talk. I know I said I wanted to wait but I swear I might just go crazy thinking bout all this"
" Yea we're already in the car I got in when you were calling" he laughed
" I swear y'all are so paranoid" you chuckled
" Only for you though. You know if anything happened to the "Hood Princess" Tey would kill us" he jokes
You smile for a second but then you come back to reality.
" Yea well um I see y'all when you get here. The door will be open"
" Aight"
You place the phone down and get out of bed walking across the hall checking on Junie. Seeing that she's asleep you smile and carefully closes the door.
"Oh how will I tell you baby"

You were downstairs in the living room when an alert came to your phone that the front door was open. You open the Ring app seeing that it was Iman, Lani and..Tey
You heard them getting closer the the living room and it's like you got nervous.
They walked in and sat down but it was like that silent awkwardness. Where no one knew how to start the conversation.
She was sitting on the other sofa with a guilty look on her face and you just shook your head
" So when was all this planned?" You break the ice
" We-"
" No I want Teyana to tell me" You cut Kehlani off now staring at Teyana
" Five years ago I started receiving threats from this person I didn't take it serious because I got threats all the time. After the person saw that I wasn't threatened they began taking things way to far. When you and Junie were leaving the grocery store that time and you got on the free way and tried to slowdown but the car wouldn't stop. And you told me you had to go on the side of the road until the car finally slowed down. I took a look at the car and found out that someone had cut your brakes and they left a note. That's when we started taking action to find out who it was and I didn't want you to leave the house. "
" Why didn't you tell me Tey? I could've been aware of things. You just thought I didn't want to know it our life was on the line" you say and she shakes her head
" No baby, I didn't think that. You had just got over your fathers dead and I didn't want to put that on you because I had it handled. I wouldn't let anything happen to you. Even if I was dead. " she says with seriousness
" Just...just continue the story" you says and she sighs
"Months later it started getting worse they were telling me that's they wanted me dead. And if they couldn't get me it would be you and Junie. Y/N I wasn't gonna let that happen baby. We all put up a fight that day when we took that 'trip' to the Barbados and you and Junie were staying with your mom. They killed 50 of my men. Iman and lani were off fighting the other men. I had finally got him baby. I was about to do it until he showed me a recording on his phone. It was you sitting in your moms living room with Junie in your lap. It was a bomb planted in there and he was going to set it off if I did anything. I asked him what did he want he said for me to die. So I took that bullet Y/n. He shot me in the stomach be he wanted it to be a slow and painful death but thankfully Iman came over and helped me up and we made it back to the safe house. I told them about my plan to fake my death. I never left baby. I've always been here. Even though I wasn't physically with you in the same room. I was always there to watched over you and Junie." She finishes
This is more that what you expected. It also explains why you always felt like someone was watching you. You couldn't be mad at her now that you know the reason behind this.
" I should really fuck you up, you know?" You laugh jokingly
Tey stands up and walk over to you
" You can get all the hits in you want beautiful. But I would kill myself if anything happened to you or Junie" she lifted your head
" I know" you sigh
" I just don't know how to tell Junie."
" Let me handle that. My baby is very smart. I know she's reading on a 6th grade level. I'll have a 1 on 1 with her. Hopefully she won't look at me differently." She says
Junie will be happy to see her. Confused yet happy. But I'm wondering how Tey is going to tell an eight year old that she's a drug dealer.
