Autumn POV
This is definitely not hunting, I thought as I was sat down at what T'Challa calls a table, I looked down at the food that was displayed,
It looked mushy, I sniffed it,
Doesn't smell like any meats I've had before, I thought
Then there was an object that laid next to the food it was round with a stem connected to it,
I tilted my head, as I looked at it,
I have no idea what this is, I thought
"She certainly reminds you of a puppy," I heard
I looked up at Shuri
"Quiet," T'Challa said as he walked over to me,
"Do you not like oatmeal?" He asked
"Oat... Meal?" I asked
"She talks?" Shuri said
"Of course she does," T'Challa said looking back at Shuri
He looked back at me,
"Oatmeal is good," He said taking the object from next to the food and scooped some of food on it and took a bite,
"See yum," He said
I sniffed the food,
"What is it?" I asked tilting my head,
"It's oats, and apples, cinnamon," T'Challa said
I slowly pushed the food away from me making a yuk face,
"I don't think she's buying that brother," Shuri said
He looked over his shoulder,
"Have you ever tried it?" He asked
"No," I said
"Then how do you know you do not like it?" He said
"Because It's not meat," I said
T'Challa looked back at Shuri,
"How about this, you take a few bites if you don't like it I won't push you any further in return I will show you around," He said
I raised an eyebrow at him,
"I promise it's not as bad as you think," He said smiling at me,
He brought the food closer I went to scoop it in my hand but he stopped me,
"Use the spoon," He said handing it to me,
"Spoon..?" I asked tilting my head,
"Yes, it's a utensil used for eating," Shuri said chuckling
"Utensil??" I asked
"We'll come back to that lesson later, now try please," He said
I take the spoon in my hand awkwardly,
I scoop some of the food into the spoon,
I sniffed it and looked at T'Challa
"It is alright I promise," He said as he smiled at me,
And just the way he smiled it gave me some sense of comfort, since my mommy is gone, and these are the only humans I've come across ever I had no choice but to trust them,
So I took a bite, I chewed it wasn't meat, but it was different, it was warm, it sent tingles on my tongue,
It was different,
And that quickly it was gone,
"I assume you liked it," He said smiling
I nodded
Shuri handed me something it was square and had some kind of liquid in it,
I looked up at her tilting my head,
"Juice box," She said
"Juice Box?" I asked
"Instead of water, it's juice thought you might be thirsty, all natural no sugar what so ever," She said looking at T'Challa
I took a sip
Have to admit it was much better than water, it was also different,
"Come Autumn let me show you around," He said
I jumped off the seat,
T'Challa held out his hand and I took it, and with that we all walked out of the room,
