"Well I guess this is it" Harper says as she packs up the last of her things in Miami.
Harper had decided that she needed a new start after loosing best friend and fire fighter Ellis Smith. Harper was carrying the weight of his death on her shoulders as she blamed herself for not trying hard enough to save him. After the 3 hour plane ride Harper had finally arrived in Chicago. Her apartment wasn't was she thought it was going to be but that didn't stop her from making it her own. A few days had passed and it was time for her first shift, her nerves were all over the place however she managed to push through.
As she walked into the firehouse she spotted these two men
"Hi umm I'm looking for a Gabriella Dawson, Do you guys know where she is?" Harper asks trying not to be too confident
" I'll tell her that your here but can I get a name first" Casey replies as he smiles
" Oh I'm Harper Bailey the new paramedic on Ambulance 61" Harper says
"You must be Harper! Gabriella Dawson pleased to meet you" Dawson says with a smile on her face
"I've heard a lot of great things about you" Harper replies enthusiastically
"All lies, anyway this is Luitenent Matthew Casey and Luitenent Kelly Severide" Gabby adds
"It's nice to meet you" Casey says as he smiles
"Yeah great to meet you" Kelly answers trying not to make eye contact
"Right back at ya" Harper says
"Come on and I'll introduce you to the other guys" Dawson says
Gabby lead Harper into the main room which was full of people.
"Guys this is Harper Bailey she's going to ride with me on Ambo" Dawson says enthusiastically
"Joe Cruz, nice to meet you" Cruz adds
" Brian Zvonecek, great to meet you" Otis replies
"Cristopher Herrmann at your service" Herrmann says
They all came up one by one introducing them selfs. Until finally we got to Cheif Boden and Mouch.
"I'm sorry Mouch? What does that mean" Harper asks semi confused
"Oh it's just a nickname the guys gave me" Mouch explains
" It means half man half couch" Cruz replies laughing to himself
"It's great to meet you Bailey" Cheif Boden adds
"Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, house fire, 304 avenue" The intercom says
"You ready Bailey" Dawson said rushing out the door
"Born ready" Harper answers following Dawson
