your hair spills over my fine satin pillows,
illuminating them with a splendid honey
colour. your ghost of a smile rests on rose
tainted lips painted by aphrodite herself.
our socks and shoes lay carelessly tossed,
across the marbled floor of my bedroom.
i can smell your sweet perfume lingering
faintly in my room like dust. my darling,
you have never looked lovelier than now.
