For the next few days everyone had to sleep on the floor because they had started the paint jobs and moving of the furniture. Everyday the guys would drive to the studio for the day and then come back to the house later towards night time. Sapphire has her first day of field hockey again since last season and she was really nervous to see everyone again. Sophia would go to the studio with the guys because she was officially their new manager. Mackenzie and Kyleigh would be home in the morning to see the workers take the old furniture away.
It was a Monday morning and after being home for nearly a week Sapphire was getting ready to leave for field hockey. She got her bag together and put her shin guards on and filled her water bottles with ice water. She got in her car and drove the guys to the studio then she drove herself to the field. As soon as she arrived she felt sick to her stomach because she didn't want her teammates to treat her any different now then they once did.
"Hey coach, sorry I'm late" Sapphire said coming onto the field
"Your not late Sapphire, your clock must be wrong" she looked at Sapphire
"Oh i'm sorry, anyways have i missed anything"
Her coached looked at her and noticed that she seemed different and not herself in that moment.
"Okay, ladies you're going to take a simple fast lap and then intense stretching together on the field!" she yelled so everyone could hear
The girls began running the lap and sapphire was in the front of the line like she normally was. Once they turned after to do the stretching two of her teammates named Olivia and Alex approached her.
"So what's it like?" Alex asked her
"What's what like" she said as she stretched her calf muscle
"You know, thinking your hot shit because you toured with your rock star boyfriend" She said with such disrespect
Keeping a straight face she looked at them both and said "wow jealous much"
There was a moment of silence and then the other girl Olivia said "you know we saw the news channel online about you, your family lost their money so now your a gold digger munching off of Luke Hemmings"
"Okay, first of all you should learn how to listen because me and my brother own every penny that my family ever owned now that my parents are gone. And second of all me being with Luke has nothing to do with money. And thirdly mind your own fucking business and stay out of my life, because on the field we may be teammates but off your nothing but a jealous bitch" Sapphire said getting into their faces and getting very angry
After everyone finished their stretching they went over and huddled together as the coach was talking to them about strategy for practice.
"Alright, Sapphire I want you to be sweeper down low and I want Alex and Olivia to be right and left down low as well" she said giving everyone their positions
They all took their positions and started some drills and scrimmages to work on the new plays. Practice lasted about 3 hours and when they took their last break a girl who Sapphire was close with on the team told her that someone she knew was there. Sapphire got up and went to the front entrance gate and saw Luke standing there.
"Hey what are you doing here?" sapphire asked
"Studio power was down so I figured I'd surprise you here for a few minutes and watch you practice" Luke said
"Well aren't you sweet" she said placing her hands on his shoulders
Luke placed his hands around her waist and kissed her lips. She was a bit sweaty from practice but she really didn't care at all and neither did Luke. Once her coach blew the whistle to indicate that the break was over. Sapphire quickly gave Luke a kiss goodbye and ran back over for practice. Luke took a seat in the bleachers and watched her practice.
Her coach noticed that Luke was there and she just gave Sapphire a smirked look and continued practice.
"You and Luke Hemmings are really cute together" Sapphire's friend Ariana said
"Thanks, other's don't think so" she said looking at Alex and Olivia
"Forget them girl, they're just jealous of you and they always have been"
"Well how can I just forget when the whole world thinks i'm a gold digger with no heart"
"You know what your going to do" Ariana said projecting her voice "your going to live your life with Luke and your going to remember that he makes you happy"
"Thanks girl, how would I get through these years without you on the team?" Sapphire said
"I honestly don't know your lucky to have me" she said giving Sapphire a hug
They continued on with practice until the next team started coming in waiting for them to leave so they could practice. The team ended practice with a simple lap around the field and then they left. A couple girls asked Luke for pictures as they were leaving since Sapphire was gathering her things. Luke was happy to take pictures but he didn't want to interrupt their practice so he made it quick. As Sapphire came over towards the car she put her things in the trunk and gave Luke a kiss because she was happy.
"I'm glad you came here today, I can't tell you how much I don't like these people" Sapphire said holding Luke
"Well your an incredible player and a beautiful girl, for all you should care they're just jealous" Luke said
They stood next to the trunk of the car kissing for a while until they stopped and drove back to the studio so Luke can continue working with the guys.
