I thought friendships
were suppose to last forever
when you had promised a lifetime.
An always and forever.
But everything began to change
when one by one you decided to walk away
leaving me in the shambles and the dark
wondering if you ever even cared.
Now I'm trapped with all these memories
crossing through my mind.
The days come and go.
Some are good and some not so much
and it seems to be affecting me a little more
as the days continue on.
Seeing others look so happy
with friends surrounding them
with laughs escaping their mouths
and smiles spread wide across their lips.
Yet I'm sat alone
writing stories that fill up the holes
I have surrounding my heart.
The only friends I seem to have
are the characters
that run wild and free up inside my mind.
But funny how some of you wiggle their way
through each story
like you have some right to come along
when you've already left my life...
