"Are you ok Toni?" Hailey asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine, but why did you kiss me like that?" Toni started putting the empty cups and beer bottles in the trash.
"I saw you with Cheryl at the competition and I guess I was jealous" Hailey confessed while helping to clear up.
"Jealous? But you're not even..."
"Gay?" Hailey interupted.
"Yeah" Toni replied.
"Well actually, I am" Hailey confessed.
"Oh... Sorry, I didn't know" Toni felt embaressed.
"It's ok, if I'm honest I had a crush on you throughout middle school, and seeing you at the competition brought all those feelings back. I said to myself if I saw you again I would tell you how I felt"
"Woah, umm. I don't know what to say" Toni exhaled.
"Toni I really like you and I want to be with you" Hailey admitted.
"Look, if I'm honest as well, I too had a crush on you at school, but I'm with Cheryl now. What we have is special and I really love her"
"It's fine, I understand, I'm sorry I caused you and Cheryl to argue like that. I didn't mean to upset you both"
"It's ok, I think we both have had too much to drink and we both said things we didn't mean" Toni smiled at Hailey.
The girls continued to tidy up the suite and chatted about things they had got up since they last saw each other. Meanwhile, back in Betty and Veronica's room, the girls were comforting Cheryl.
"Why would she say those things about the accident. She knows what it meant to me, and it's like she forgot the time I spent at the hospital with her" Cheryl laid down on the bed with Josie stroking her hair.
"She doesn't mean it, you both have had too much to drink and it was the heat of the moment. You girls are meant for each other!" Veronica sat on the bed opposite the girls.
"She's right Cher, you two will sort this out in no time" Betty was looking in the mirror adjusting her signature ponytail.
"Just because Hailey couldn't beat us, she had to go after the next best thing" Cheryl said with anger.
"I wish Reggie hadn't dared her to kiss somebody we wouldn't be in this situation" Josie added while continuing to stroke her hair.
"She would have found another way to get Toni's attention" Cheryl wipped a tear away from her cheek.
"Come on, just forget about it. It will all blow over in the morning and you both wil be walking hand in hand down the school halls" Betty added.
"Yeah she's right. Come on, let's go to bed I'm exhausted" Josie stretched her arms and yawned.
"We will see you both in the morning. And Cher, don't worry about Toni. It will be all ok" Veronica smiled at Cheryl.
Cheryl and Josie left the girl's room and walked down the hallway. Josie had her arm wrapped around Cheryl to keep comforting the red head.
The Next Morning
*knock knock*
Toni stirred from her sleep.
"Ugh my head" Toni groaned as she slowly got up from the bed and made her way over to the door. She opened it to see Josie standing out in the hallway.
"Josie?" Toni exhaled.
"Hey can we talk?" Josie asked politely.
"Sure, come in" Toni let the small Vixen enter the suite then closed the door behind her.
Toni and Josie walked over to the bar area and sat down at the stools. Toni took a bottle of water and started drinking from it to quench her thirst from the previous night's drinking.
"Ugh I've got such a bad hangover" Toni confessed.
"I can tell"
"Last night was a disater, I said some horrible things to Cheryl and I completely regret it" Toni continued to drink from the bottle.
"Yes, well I think both of you said regretable things, but I'm sure you too will kiss and make up after talking"
"I hope so" Toni held her head as it was pounding.
"I think you should wait till your hangover goes and then talk to Cheryl"
"Yeah sounds like a good idea, right now I need a hot shower and a few pills before we drive home. Don't want to be sick in Archie's truck" Toni confessed.
"Well, I only came over to see if you was ok and make sure you sort things out with Cheryl. I will see you later then" Josie got off the stool and left the suite leaving Toni alone once more.
Toni held her head in her hands and exhaled deeply. Memories of last night came flooding back. She remembered what she said to Cheryl and that she instantly regretted it after. Toni also remembered that Hailey had confessed her feelings for her which took Toni by surprise.
"What an idiot" Toni said to herself.
Toni took out her phone and saw she had a few messages. She ignored all them and opened up a message to Cheryl.
Toni: Cheryl I'm sorry for what happened last night, let's talk when we get home xxx
