After Lena's long Friday, which is the end to a long week she finally makes it home to her penthouse, being dropped off at the front of her building by her driver.
"Thank you." Lena says to her driver as she exits the car.
"Of course, Miss Luthor." The driver nods back.
Lena gets out of the car and heads into the front lobby of her apartment building. As soon as Lena steps inside her mood is instantly improved by the sight of Kara and Alura.
"LENAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Alura yells as she goes running from Kara's side towards Lena.
Lena smiles at Alura as she comes running to her and then picks her up into a tight hug.
"Hello darling." Lena smiles as she hugs the five-year-old tightly.
"I missed you." Alura says, squeezing Lena back.
Lena chuckles.
"It has only been a couple of days since you last saw me." Lena grins.
"Still too long." Alura moans.
Lena smiles at Alura and then places a kiss on the girl's cheek. As Lena is doing this Kara steps towards her, carrying a bag in hand.
"Hi." Kara smiles at her girlfriend.
"Hello darling." Lena smiles and then goes to put Alura down on the ground.
"No!" Alura moans in protest, "I want you to carry me!"
Lena and Kara both chuckle at that.
"Alright darling. Let's go up to my penthouse then, so I can give mommy a kiss hello after, okay?" Lena grins.
Alura nods, clinging onto Lena tightly.
Lena then begins to walk towards her private elevator, as she passes Kara, Kara reaches out and gives one of Lena's hands, which is wrapped around Alura, a squeeze. Lena just shoots Kara a smile in response.
The three ladies then make their way into Lena's private elevator where Lena inputs the code, allowing the elevator to begin its ascension up to Lena's penthouse. The ride takes less than a few minutes and eventually opens up into a hallway that leads to Lena's penthouse door. The only other door down the hallway is one that leads to an emergency stairway, although that door can only be opened by a code from Lena, or a security override in case of emergencies, downstairs at the security desk.
Lena, Kara and Alura approach Lena's penthouse door and Lena then places on of her hands, which she is able to move away from holding Alura, onto the pad to scan her hand print. After Lena's hand print scan is approved Lena then types in a code and her front door opens. Kara heads in first, with Lena following, still carrying Alura, behind.
"That was cool." Alura says.
Lena chuckles.
"Thank you." Lena smiles at the five-year-old, finally placing her down on the ground.
Kara turns to her daughter and hands her the bag which she was carrying.
"Why don't you take this bag upstairs and put your clothes into your bedroom?" Kara says with a smile.
"Okay!" Alura nods happily, "I missed my room!"
Lena and Kara both smile at Alura as she grabs the bag and goes running off in the direction of the stairs which lead to the bedrooms on the floor above.
"No running!" Kara and Lena yell simultaneously. In response to this, both women just look at each other with a grin and slight blushes on their faces.
Once Kara hears Alura walking up the stairs she quickly closes the distance to Lena, taking her in for a passionate and not very PG kiss. Lena is surprised by the ferocity of the kiss, but she can't complain, so she kisses back, eagerly. After a few moments the two women part.
"Sorry." Kara hums, "But, I missed you too."
Lena smiles at Kara and then takes her super hero girlfriend in for another kiss. As Lena kisses Kara she runs both of her hands through Kara's hair, showing Kara all the passion she has for her. Eventually, the two women part again and Lena is happy to be met with a little groan from Kara for doing so.
"I'm glad. I missed you too. You and Alura." Lena smiles.
Kara and Lena just smile happily at each other for a moment before they are interrupted by Kara's stomach growling, as of course they are. In response Lena breaks out into a hearty laugh, while Kara blushes.
"I presume you are hungry then?" Lena smirks.
"Maybe...." Kara says, biting her lip.
Lena chuckles once more.
"Well, I thought instead of ordering take out, as we usually do, or I should say, as you usually do, so often, we could actually cook dinner. And by 'we', I mean me, while you help with some very basic things. I wouldn't want you burning down my penthouse after all." Lena smirks.
Kara groans.
"I should have never let Alex tell you about my bad cooking skills." Kara says.
Lena chuckles.
"Be glad she did, otherwise you'd have probably tried to cook for me, or with me, and then ended up burning down either your apartment, or my penthouse. Going up in flames certainly isn't a good way to begin a relationship." Lena smirks.
Kara groans once more.
"I guess.... you may be right..." Kara replies.
Lena steps closer to Kara and gives her a certain look, raising her eyebrow in signature fashion.
"I MAY be right?" Lena asks.
Kara looks at Lena for a moment before she lets out a huff.
"Fine, you ARE right." Kara admits.
"Thank you." Lena smiles and then takes Kara in for a quick peck as a reward.
"Anyway.... what did you have planned for dinner then?" Kara asks.
"Well, I thought that maybe we could have something sort of fun for dinner, as I remember Alura liked making her own pizza with me while I looked after her. So in that vein, I thought that I could cook us some chicken in fajita mix, on the stove, and then you could cut up some cucumbers and peppers as well as some other salad, and then we could make our own chicken fajita wraps, or burritos, to eat." Lena suggests.
Kara breaks out into a wide smile.
"I'm sure Alura will love that, although she is probably going to make a right mess." Kara says.
"Alura, or you?" Lena smirks.
Kara bites her lip again.
"Fine... maybe we both may make a mess." Kara admits.
Lena chuckles once more and then takes Kara in for a passionate kiss. Kara kisses Lena back happily, just taking in her girlfriend's lips as they hold each other close. Kara and Lena's kiss lasts a few minutes, and doesn't actually end until both of them have their attentions directed elsewhere by a little giggle to their side. That is when Kara and Lena part from their kiss and notice Alura standing beside them, looking up at them happily, with a very big smile on her face.
"Well, someone has been watching." Lena smirks.
Alura giggles again.
Kara smiles at her daughter and moves over to her, taking her in her arms, pulling her into a hug. Kara begins to carefully swing Alura about in her arms, causing her daughter to giggle, and then Lena comes over and begins to tickle the five-year-old. The three ladies continue to do this for a few minutes, eliciting many giggles from Alura. They eventually end their little giggle session with the three of them on the couch, Kara and Lena laying next to each other and Alura on top of them both, laughing.
The three ladies take a few moments to just lay like that, letting Alura's giggles and Kara and Lena's big smiles die down. Eventually Alura breaks out into a smile and out of her own accord she moves closer to Lena and kisses her on the cheek.
"Love you." Alura says.
"Love you too Alura." Lena smiles, still in awe of how this five-year-old can find ways to tug at her heart.
Alura then moves over to Kara and places a kiss on her mother's cheek too.
"Love you." Alura says to her mother.
"I love you too sweetie, soooooo much!" Kara grins.
Lena and Kara then both move over and take Alura into a shared hug. The three ladies remain like that for a few minutes before Lena's back begins to hurt a bit from the awkward angle she is laying on the couch. Lena eventually pulls away from the hug and stands up.
"Okay Alura, I just told mommy, but for dinner I'm going to cook us some chicken and cut up some salad so we can make our own burritos. How does that sound?" Lena asks.
Alura smiles up at Lena.
"Good! I like chicken!" Alura grins.
Lena chuckles.
"You like just about everything Alura, even something as disgusting as kale!" Kara says with a grin.
Alura looks at Kara with a smile.
"That's because she is a good girl and not a fussy eater like her mother." Lena says with a smirk.
Kara pouts in response.
"Mommy is pouting!" Alura says.
Lena laughs.
"That she is, but it is true that mommy is a bit of a fussy eater, isn't it?" Lena smirks.
Alura looks up at Lena and gives her a nod with a smile.
"Unbelievable! Betrayed by my own daughter!" Kara teases, sarcastically.
"Alright, alright, let's start making dinner." Lena smiles.
Lena then heads towards her kitchen and as she is walking over she notices her tablet on the kitchen isle that she left there before she left the house earlier in the morning. Upon noticing the tablet Lena gets an idea.
"Oh, actually, before dinner, can I just do something?" Lena asks.
Kara shoots Lena a confused look.
"Sure, what is it Lee?" Kara asks.
"I thought that I could scan both of your hand prints onto my tablet so I can add them to my security system so you can get up here with that and the key code. If that is okay with you, that is?" Lena suggests.
Kara breaks out into a wide smile.
"This is kind of like you giving us a key, isn't it?" Kara says.
"Yes." Lena nods after a moments hesitation, just to search Kara's face to see if she was concerned by the gesture.
Kara breaks out into a wide smile and then moves closer to Lena, taking her in for a kiss. After a few moments Kara breaks away from the kiss and then moves her hand into one of her trousers pockets and pulls out a key. Kara hands the key to Lena.
"Here, I had this made for you a few days ago actually. I was trying to find the right time to give it to you." Kara smiles.
Lena looks at the key with wide eyes, she never expected someone to trust her, a Luthor, enough to give her a key to their home. Not in Lena's wildest dreams did she ever expect that a Kryptonian would give her a key to her home that she and her half Kryptonian daughter live in, as after all her brother has a history of trying to kill Kryptonians. So, Lena is completely shocked and amazed by the gesture. It makes Lena so very happy.
"Wow... I..... are you sure?" Lena asks, surprised.
"Of course I am sure. I want you to be able to come and go into our place whenever you want. This way maybe sometimes when you have a late night at L-Corp, you can still come by my apartment, even if it's just to crawl up into bed with me?" Kara says with a smile.
Lena blinks a few times, with tears beginning to appear in her eyes.
"I..... okay.... I.... thank you..." Lena says.
Kara breaks out into a smile.
"Lena, you literally are basically giving me a key too." Kara grins.
Lena breaks out into a chuckle, realising her response may seem a bit silly seeing as she initiated this by essentially offering Kara and Alura to key to her penthouse too.
"Yeah... okay.." Lena nods and then grabs the tablet off her kitchen isle, "If you just place your hand here, you can scan it."
Kara places her hand on the tablet, being careful not to accidentally break it with her strength. Kara is doing a pretty good job at hiding it, but she is just as overwhelmed and happy by this exchanging of keys step, just like Lena. Kara's hand is then scanned.
"Okay.... your hand is scanned, all I have to do is just add you to my security system.... And.... done." Lena says as she taps away at the tablet.
"That's it?" Kara asks, surprised. Kara honestly expected this to be more of a process.
"Yep. All you now need to do to enter my apartment is scan your hand and enter the code which is, 20 – 09 – 42." Lena says.
"Okay, 20, 09, 42, got it." Kara says with a nod.
Lena then moves over to Alura while she is holding the tablet.
"Would you like to scan your hand too darling?" Lena asks with an affectionate smile.
Alura nods with a big grin.
"Yes." Alura says.
"Okay, just place your hand here and keep it still for a few seconds." Lena says.
Alura places her hand on the tablet, just like Kara, and allows her hand to be scanned. After a few seconds it is completed and Lena then takes the tablet away and adds Alura's handprint to the security system. Lena knows that Alura is far too young to be able to independently open Lena's apartment door without either Kara or Lena or another adult present, but adding Alura is more of a gesture by Lena, for Alura.
"Okay, there we go. You are added to the system too." Lena smiles.
Alura smiles back up at Lena.
The three ladies then proceed to go about making dinner, with Alura very much insisting that she helps the adults. Lena for her part cuts up the chicken breasts into smaller pieces, while she has Alura carefully mix some fajita mix with olive oil and then stir it. Kara is given the task of cutting up the other things which the ladies plan to add to their wraps when they make them, including peppers, cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese, which Kara grates. Once Lena has finished cutting the chicken, she puts it into a frying pan which she has on the stove, spreading the chicken out evenly. Lena then picks Alura up and helps her to carefully pour the mixed fajita mix evenly onto the chicken. After this Lena just cooks the chicken for about 10 minutes on a low/medium heat.
Once the chicken is cooked Kara has also finished getting the other stuff they plan to put in their wraps, with her putting the vegetables on a plate and the grated cheese in a bowl. Lena dishes up the chicken by putting it into a bowl with a fork, which they can each pick up some of the chicken with. The three ladies then move all their food to make their own wraps onto Lena's dinning table, which along with the food also includes the wraps and some mayonnaise. Kara, Lena and Alura then all take a seat, each with a plate in front of them.
Alura bites her lip, looking at all the food a bit confused, clearly unsure as to what to do. Lena notices.
"Alura, darling, do you want some help?" Lena asks with a caring smile.
"No... I want to do it.... but... I don't know.... what to do..." Alura says, sounding a bit nervously.
Lena smiles again at Alura.
"Okay, well first grab a wrap and put it on your plate." Lena says.
Alura does as Lena says and grabs a wrap about the size of her plate and then leaves it there.
"Okay, so now it is really up to you what you want to do. I personally start off my getting some mayonnaise and spreading it evenly across my wrap, but other people put the mayonnaise on once they put the other food inside. But it really doesn't matter what you do, you don't have to have mayonnaise if you don't want to. This is all about you deciding what you want to put in your wrap. You can pick and choose anything you like." Lena explains.
"Yes, see Alura, I'm just having some chicken and cheese with some mayonnaise for now." Kara says as she shows Alura what she has put in her wrap and begins to roll it up.
Lena shakes her head.
"Of course you have, not having any vegetables, picking the least healthy choices." Lena says.
Kara shoots Lena a smile as the begins to eat her food with her mouth open.
"Kara, close your mouth." Lena says as she grimaces.
"Sorry." Kara says, as she continues to chew her food.
Alura giggles and Lena shakes her head once more.
"Okay, so darling, what do you want to do?" Lena asks, turning her attention back to Alura.
"Can you show me what you will do?" Alura asks Lena, sweetly.
"Of course, darling." Lena smiles.
Lena proceeds to spread a layer of mayonnaise on her wrap and then add some chicken, a few cut up peppers, and some cut up cumbers and lettuce, and then she finishes it off with some cheese. Alura mimics Lena exactly. Lena then carefully rolls up her wrap, showing Alura how, just to make sure the food doesn't slip out of the bottom as they eat it with their hands. Alura continues to copy Lena and they then eat their food. Once they take their first few bites Alura has a big smile on her face.
"Do you like it?" Lena asks.
"Yes, it's yummy." Alura replies with a wide smile.
"I'm glad." Lena smirks.
Over the next 20 minutes the three ladies continue to eat their food, continuing to make their own wraps. Just as Lena predicted both Kara and Alura make a bit of a mess of themselves. Kara for her part gets some grated cheese and mayonnaise stuck to the outside of her face, with her fingers being covered in the fajita mix sauce after she decided to reposition the chicken on one attempt where her wrap fell apart. Alura however is much worse than Kara, she has the fajita sauce all over her mouth and some mayonnaise in her hair from where she brushed her hair after getting the mayonnaise on her fingers. Lena can't help but chuckle and shake her head at the sight.
Once the three ladies finish their dinner Lena and Kara do the washing up in tandem, with Lena washing and Kara drying. Kara however is clearly in a bit of a mischievous mood and instead of using a dish cloth to dry up the stuff that Lena washes, she uses her super breath instead. This ends up not being very helpful when most of the plates and bowls will need dethawing after, before putting them away. While Lena and Kara do this, Alura picks out a movie for them to all watch on Lena's big TV.
The night continues on from there, much like the three ladies' previous nights together have gone, this time the only difference being that they are in Lena's apartment, not Kara's. The three all snuggle up together under a blanket on one of Lena's couches and watch the movie Alura has chosen. Then once the movie finishes Alura is basically asleep so Kara and Lena put her to bed and then decide to go to bed themselves.
Once Kara and Lena are in bed, the two partake in some heavy petting, kissing each other on the lips and in other areas above the waist on each of their bodies. Both of the women are on the same page however, and neither try to initiate sex, simply because they are both pretty tired and they are still a bit scared about Alura potentially hearing them, even though in Lena's penthouse that is very unlikely. So, after Lena and Kara's heavy petting session the two just snuggle up into each other's arms and then soon fall asleep.
