It was 9 a.m. in the morning. Iceland and Hong Kong were still asleep.
The other Asians decided to let them sleep as long as they wanted that day.
Iceland's phone went off, playing a horrible pop melody as his ringtone, that apparently, Iceland loved.
The picture of a certain Norwegian male showed up in the screen.
The Icelandic boy quickly woke up, pulled away from his sleep by the loud melody.
He quickly stretched his hand, reaching for his phone. He didn't want the loud sound to wake Hong Kong up. He quickly slided his index finger across the screen, picking up the call.
-Norge?
-Ice!! Didn't you read my texts?
-W-What? I was still asleep....
-You worried me!!
-N-Norway! -He tried to yell in a whisper, forcing his throat- Stop that! I'm not a baby... You knew I was in a sleepover at Hong Kong's!
A sigh was heard from the other side of the phone.
-Ice... It's already nine in the morning... Could you please come back?! We have another sight-seeing trip now! We're all waiting!!
Iceland glared at his phone.
-Okay, okay... I'll rush there...
-You better!
Norway hung up.
Iceland groaned, holding up his middle finger to the phone, in a hatred gesture.
His usual inner peace returned to him as he looked at Hong Kong.
He was still asleep, holding into a pillow. His mouth, half-open, made his tan cheeks look a little chubbier.
"Shit, he's adorable", Iceland thought.
He walked up to him, feeling how an idiotic smile curled his lips upwards, and how the blood rushed to his cheeks.
His violet orbs adored the Cantonese boy's features silently, making him blush even more.
He leaned, their lips almost touching. He recalled their failed attempt of kissing, interrupted by Hong Kong's loud Korean brother.
But now they were alone...
Iceland's blush got darker -good thing it wasn't noticeable under the pale, weak daylight that filtered through the sunblinds, and kissed Hong Kong's lips quickly.
The Asian's lips curled in a small, adorable smile, and his face took a slightly redder tone.
Iceland gazed at him tenderly, before walking out the room.
A thousand butterflies tickled Iceland's stomach in everything step he took, carefully measured to make as less noise as possible.
Was that what Denmark and Finland meant?
The flutter of the butterflies, the over-heated cheeks... The burning, but nice warm feeling inside one?
Was that... what they called...
...love?
It could be... after all, the Icelandic didn't get as close to anyone as he got to Hong Kong.
He definitively felt something... special for the Cantonese boy...
A strong bond between them...
He knew that, sooner or later, he would have to admit being touched by love to Denmark... But preferred to keep his "relationship" with Hong Kong as a secret towards his family.
Knowing Hong Kong, he would too.
-Good morning, aru!
The oldest Asian's voice shook him off his thoughts violently, making him flinch like a startled cat.
-Iceland, are you ok?
-A-Ah, yes...
-Are you leaving?
-Y-Yes... Thanks for letting me stay tonight
-It's nothing -China smiled bright.
-Please, tell Hong Kong Norway phoned me and I had to go -He sighed.
-Ooh... So that's where the music came from, aru...
-Yeah... -He rubbed the back of his head.
Iceland said goodbye to China and Japan -the only ones awake, took Mr. Puffin, and headed to the hotel.
He checked his watch regularly, walking fast.
He sweeped the narrow streets, trying a short-cut to the hotel that Hong Kong showed him.
-Iceland!
-H-Huh?
A happy, greeting Sealand approached him.
-Ice!! We were worried! -Denmark's loud, whiney voice shook him off the hug Sealand gave him.
Denmark and Norway exchanger a gaze. Iceland noticed it, and flinched slightly.
Denmark looked somewhat... worried? Distressed? Something extrange in him. It was probably caused by Norway's glare at the Icelandic.
Though it could only be because Iceland's delay, the boy could feel more behind the indigo glare.
Only caused by the guilty of keeping the secret of kissing a boy who just met to his family? Maybe, but Iceland's heart froze.
He could notice hints of emotions like anger, dissapointment, suspect, or even... loathe?
All that in a single glare. A glare that he hated to read that easily...
Iceland sighed, trying not to make eye contact with anyone but Sealand, who stayed with him during all the sight-seeing visit.
♡~·~·*♡*·~·~♡
-Nor!! Den!!!
-Yeah, Ice?!
Denmark shouted his response from the living room.
Iceland rose to his feet and ran to the living room, shouting from his room.
-Hong texted me!!
The Dane shuddered as Norway's eyes furrowed into an annoyed glare.
-He says we're a having another sight-seeing visit tomorrow!
Norway closed his eyes, speaking firmly, but calmly.
-We know, China already told us...
Iceland hoped they didn't notice the light pink shade in his cheeks.
-Anyway, Ice... You can't come this time...
-What? Why?!
-We're visiting... Beijing's night clubs and such.
-Then what the hell am I going to do?
-You'll stay here, taking care of Sealand.
-B-But...
-I thought you didn't like sight-seeing?
Iceland widened his eyes, not knowing what to do or say.
Denmark was sweating nervously, trying to hide further into the couch pillows.
Iceland just groaned, walking back to his room. He texted Hong Kong.
-"Wtf?! They won't let me go?!"
-"What?! Y??"
-"They don't think mature enough to see the freaking nightclubs =.="
-"Nightclubs? Wth?!"
-"Aren't you visiting some nightclubs tomorrow?"
-"No, wtf!"
"We're going to see the fireworks!!!"
-"... Wait a sec"
Iceland froze.
Why did Norway lie? If he wanted him to look after Sealand, he just had to tell him!
He clenched his teeth, glaring towards the closed door of his room.
He darted to the living room.
He wanted an explanation! He felt lied like a kid! What was the problem?
Or did Norway started to hate him that much to don't even wanting him near?
He found the living room's door closed, and could hear them talking.
He pressed his ear against the wooden door to hear them.
-Nor, he will find out...
-Oh, why don't you find another way, then?
-No! Den, we can't let him.
A little cloud of confusion blurred Iceland's thoughts, becoming bigger and darker at each word he heard.
-I know something's going on... We only have to keep them away from each other for a while.
-But Nor...
-Denmark, can't you see? They go away in every visit, and then we don't see them until we come back home.
-That's true...
-I'm sure that boy's not good for him... We still don't know where they go, or what they do.
-...
-They're getting a very close bond... that's not normal in Iceland, is it?
-No...
-Den, what if he's dangerous?!
Iceland clenched his teeth and fists tightly.
The confussion cloud turned into an anger one.
It couldn't be... Could it? They couldn't be talking about Hong Kong... Could they?
He wanted to break in, shouting at them. He wanted to argue, to fight.
But he just... couldn't.
Swallowing his anger, he walked back to his room.
The initial affection that invaded him when he got to know the Cantonese, was slowly evolving into a stronger feeling. Love?...
Yes... Love... And attraction.
He really felt guilty for keeping this as a secret, but he knew they wouldn't accept it. Even more now, after hearing their conversation.
Norway was too protective to him... He wouldn't let anyone touch his little brother. He wouldn't let anyone hurt him, but he wouldn't let anyone caress him either.
And it was Iceland's biggest problem.
If he let him be happy with Denmark...
Why wouldn't they let him be happy with Hong Kong?
A lowered growl sounded from the very bottom of Iceland's throat.
-"Ice?"
-"Yeah?"
-"What happened?"
-"They want to keep us away from each other e.e"
-"WHUT?!"
-"I KNOW WTF?!"
-"THEY WANNA GO?!"
-"UUUGH I wanna kill them, Hong... -.-"
-"Wait..."
-"What?"
-"I have a better idea..."
